Hello and welcome! I host auctions for people on this site. This thread acts as a single point of contact and referral collection for my services. Please find more about them in the links below.

If this is your first time here, PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN FULL BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR AN AUCTION. I know it's boring and lengthy, but there are some important notes in there that really help avoid issues of any kind.

Additionally, I ask that all auction requests be handled through this thread. In practice, this means I will no longer be taking auction applications via PM. I completely understand that some people are shy about posting in a public forum and I apologise in advance to anyone who may have preferred to contact me that way. The problem is, with the amount of requests I currently receive, I just can't cope with keeping two active channels for the same thing and tracking an auction conversation in my (very messy) inbox can be difficult. I may reopen PM requests at a later time if I'm more free and my workload is more manageable, but for now, please just use the thread. This includes price checks; even if you are not yet sure whether you want to auction or not, and you just want me to estimate the price of your dragon(s) or item(s), please do NOT send a PM, just post here. Thanks for your cooperation!

About this service: terms and conditions
  • You can request an auction either by posting here or sending me a PM; I prefer posts since they are easier to index, but PMs are welcome if you want to keep the discussion private for any reason at all
  • I will auction anything - Gen 1 dragons, old dragons, dragons with special IDs, dragons with art and/or lore, levelled dragons, valuable items, custom skins/accents, etc.
  • The pinglists I use are the G1 hoarders, Old dragon collectors, Special ID hunters, Dragons with art and writing, Dragons with special eyes, General accents & skins, and the Kickstarter and Beta
  • You do not need to send me the dragon/item for this service, but a hold can be requested if needed (there is no charge, though dragon holding is subject to my lair space and the number of the dragons I would need to hold)
  • The information I need to perform this service are:
    • The starting bid (I can suggest a price if needed); please note that I do not auction with reserves. If you are unhappy with the starting bids I recommended, feel free to suggest differently!
    • Your G:T rate if you accept treasure and/or mixed payments (I will use the default 1:1,100 unless asked to do otherwise)
    • A list of accepted items, if any, and their value (I will assume only currency is accepted unless told otherwise)
    • Your desired time frame for the auction, if you have one (I will use my first free slot and default length, varying from 3 to 15 days depending on the value of what will be auctioned, unless asked to do otherwise)
    • Optional: snipe guard and autobuy price (I will use my default 1-2 hour snipe guard and no autobuy price unless asked to do otherwise)
  • There is no upfront fee for this service! If the dragon(s)/item(s) do(es) not sell, you do not pay. If the dragon(s)/item(s) sell(s), my fee is 10% of the final sale price, including the case of an autobuy
  • I run up to five auctions at a time, usually anywhere between three and five
  • You are encouraged to leave public feedback in this very thread after the auction is over! Whether it be positive or negative, it will be linked below in my list of referrals. I am 100% transparent and will never request edits or deletions, not even if you leave the most negative referral to date. Also, if this is your first time requesting this service, please put the word panda somewhere in your post (this helps me verify that people have read my terms and conditions)
  • Due to issues with past auctions I find myself in need of adding this specification: dragons and items that are being auctioned should NOT be sold via private agreements after the auction starts. This means that the only acceptable flatsale option is a public autobuy value, which MUST be stated in the auction thread. It can be added either at the beginning or during the auction, as long as it stays public; if there is a public autobuy, the dragon(s)/item(s) can be put on the AH for the stated autobuy value
  • Once started, the auction cannot be cancelled. If you change your mind about selling something, tell me before the auction starts; I will not charge you. I WILL charge you my standard 10% if the auction is cancelled after it starts, regardless of whether there were any bids or not. This also applies to taking off single dragons/items from a group auction. Note that while I cannot force anyone to sell their dragons, I will not auction again for someone who has cancelled on me, as this negatively affects the reputation of my service.

Explanation of my auction rules
  • Why I specify that people must use the dragon's ID when they bid in auctions with two dragons or more: This is necessary for massive auctions that are flooded with posts, especially if the flood happens when I'm offline and I come back to pages worth of offers and ping requests. Mass auctions in the past have caused problems with people cross-bidding on the same dragon for the same amount, due to not seeing the previous bid. Using the dragon's ID makes it easy to locate the dragon's most recent bid with the search function, so no one has to go through the entire thread to find out how much they need to offer to secure the dragon(s) they want. As for smaller auctions, I agree it's not strictly necessary, but it's simpler for everyone involved if I have a consistent policy in all auctions, since I run so many of them.
  • Why I don't allow edits in bid posts: Imagine this scenario: your dream dragon has a standing bid of 1kg. You offer 1.1kg. Someone else comes in and slaps 100kg on the table. You see the ping, think "oh well, I'm out of this run for good", and after a while the person who bid 100kg edits their post to a bid of only 1.2kg. While this is an extreme case, an analogous situation has happened before, and I managed to catch it only because I saw the post both before and after the edit. I can't guarantee I'll be around to see edited posts before they're edited, and even though I trust most people act in good faith, I have to be absolutely certain there is no exploitation. Thus, bids with edits are not allowed.
  • Why I ask proxy bidders to state who they're bidding for before they get approved: Some of the people I've auctioned dragons for have requested me to specifically disallow selected users from bidding on, or otherwise buying, their dragons. A "secret" proxy could be used to circumvent this.

People in this record may not participate in my auctions until there is proof that their conduct has changed. This includes proxy bidding. If someone is found proxy bidding on behalf of a person who is not allowed to participate in my auctions, the proxy bidder will also be put on the list. If you are proxy bidding for someone, please state who you are bidding for before you bid. * Leniency will be applied in some cases (e.g. if someone with a good track record occasionally slips). Also, since this question gets asked a lot! What is a snipe guard? A snipe guard consists in an extension of the auction beyond the end time. This is for the purpose of safeguarding the dragon(s)/item(s) from last minute bids that leave little to no chance to outbid. With a snipe guard of N hours, the minimum amount of time that needs to have passed before a winner is declared is exactly N hours after the most recent bid. A sample case for better understanding of this concept:

An auction includes two different dragons, Dragon A and Dragon B. The ending is set at 12:00 FR time on a Sunday. There is a 2-hour snipe guard.
The latest bid for Dragon A is by User X at 09:00 Sunday. The auction for Dragon A is over at 12:00 and User X wins the dragon.
User Y bids on Dragon B at 11:15 server time. The snipe guard now extends the auction of Dragon B to 13:15.
User Z bids on Dragon B at 12:50 server time. The snipe guard now extends the auction of Dragon B to 14:50.
At 14:50 server time, there are no further bids on Dragon B. User Z wins the dragon.
Individual ping requests

@Alestrius (any matchy male G1, no browns)
@Cormanthor (any oldies)
@Deki (Grey/Lavender/Storm G1)
Note to bidders

I have a record of auction backouts, both on the seller's and the buyer's side, containing all people who have shown auction misconduct (refused to sell dragons to buyers who won them legitimately, refused to pay for dragons that they had the highest bid on, etc.).

  • An auction includes two different dragons, Dragon A and Dragon B. The ending is set at 12:00 FR time on a Sunday. There is a 2-hour snipe guard.
  • The latest bid for Dragon A is by User X at 09:00 Sunday. The auction for Dragon A is over at 12:00 and User X wins the dragon.
  • User Y bids on Dragon B at 11:15 server time. The snipe guard now extends the auction of Dragon B to 13:15.
  • User Z bids on Dragon B at 12:50 server time. The snipe guard now extends the auction of Dragon B to 14:50.
  • At 14:50 server time, there are no further bids on Dragon B. User Z wins the dragon.

I have had @silverquark run many auctions for me. They have been helpful and and I give two thumbs up on their auction services. And I plan on using their services again in the future!

@SilverQuark Could you brew me an Imbued Sulfur?

To make sure I've got the price correct: as well as the ingredients, I'll send you double the treasure cost of the brew?

Thank you!
