I’ve never done this before. What do LDP, SB, and CB mean? Treasure is accepted, but do we bid in gems or treasure? What about mixed payments? What is a 2 hour snipe guard?

Welcome to auctions!

LDP = Last Day Ping (reminder about 24 hours ahead of the end of the auction)
SB = Starting Bid (minimum amount accepted to buy the dragon)
CB = Current Bid (the highest standing offer for that dragon)

You can bid in whichever currency you want, and pay either gems, treasure, or mixed. I'll note the bids in gems for simplicity, but me noting bids in gems doesn't mean you have to use gems to pay.

The snipe guard lengthens the auction by the indicated amount of hours if there is a bid that is just as close to the end. I.e. the auction ends either at 12:00 on the stated day, or 2 hours after the highest standing bid (if the latest bid is made at 10:00 on that day or later).

Thank you for the info. The 2 I would like are out of my financial range, but I would like to be on the LDP list. I find this entire process fascinating! I really like the little ones I picked up from the AH.
