A PLACE TO CALL HOME
Bitter howling winds. Harsh unforgiving icy chunks crashing to the ground like roars of war. The cracking of the snow beneath feet as it threatens to consume you whole… such a harsh unforgiving tundra is no place for a dragon. Its earth is unyielding in its care and only the most staunch of berries, twigs, fish, and small rodents manage to survive. The only semblance of home is a rock formation that is not dangerously unsteady and keeps the wind off your back. Why any clan would chose to settle here is a wonder.
There is some whom do chose to settle here. The rocky steppes is what has become home to a straggling group of strangers… outsiders from every flight and walk of life. Brothers and sisters, mated pairs, lonely youngster, and lonely lost adults. Those whom, for their own stories and reasons, no longer call where they were born as ‘home’. But instead opt to remain in these remote tundra managing to survive only by tedious alliance. Food is scarce and fights are frequent and yet the patient Ice-Blessed leader always keeps things balanced.
Times are not always the easiest in the frozen steppes though. Mates find it hard to build nests for their youngsters. The smaller faes struggle to keep flight in the sheer winds. And opportunistic straggling beasts try their best to get at the hoard safely hidden within the caves meant to supply food and shelter in the bad winter storms. But this Clan of the Lost makes the best of it they can.
