Hello, I'm Essay. I write lore and I dabble in making bios. Consequently, I'm opening this Lore & Bios shop thread for those interested.

I've written lore for others for some time, and been developing bio codes for a bit less of time. For those of you unsure of my credentials, please have some testimonials and links to bios and lore I worked on:

I write lore! I can write it a few styles, from short story to character study to a biographical overview. You can, if you wish, commission me purely for lore at a rate of [gems/treasure cost]: 500 words. There will only ever be two slots open for this at a time.

This lore can be written to fit a bio template you've picked out yourself, and the prices will vary depending on how much lore you want written and whether or not you want me to make sure the lore fits the bio's length and limitations exactly.

• I cannot write comedy for the life of me.
• I will not write anything which breaks site TOS.
• I will not write anything for people I have blocked or who have blocked me.
• I will not write lore for the Necromancer subspecies or its variant subspecies.
• I reserve the right to refuse to work with people because of rude behaviour.

I dabble in making bio codes, sometimes styling them off existing, open-use codes and sometimes creating them whole cloth. Bios can be requested for personal use, for free. Additionally if you've commissioned lore & a bio from me in the past you can absolutely re-use that bio on other dragons, modify it, tweak it, however works for you.

I will have up to five slots open at a time for this, which you can reserve as they open up.

The biggest of the bio codes and the most complicated. This has space for banners, badges, item icons, custom icons, biography or lore, brief details of relationships and more extended details on prized personal items, as well as an additional section for behind the scenes details and familiars. It is also modifiable - the treasures section can be replaced with personal relationships if one wishes - and done at half length.

Pros: Looks great on desktop Pretty with space for detail Somewhat modifiable Highly personalisable Half-Length = Half-Price

Cons: Iffy on mobile Takes the longest to sort out Hard to modify without practice Longer version = higher price. Expensive

Aitekratos Bio & Lore costs 500g, or 250g if at half-length (cut off before the Treasures section). If an extended version, to hold more lore (as seen on Flagella), pricing increases to 600g.

The "baseline" bio, and my personal favourite - you'll see it getting a lot of use with my personal dragons. This has space for banners, badges, item icons, custom icons, a biography or lore, personality details, relationship summaries, treasures and familiars. It is highly modifiable - colours can be changed, sections can be moved around - and affordable.

Pros: Looks good on mobile or desktop Straightforward and easy to modify

Cons: Simplistic

Wylla Bio & Lore costs 200g, or 250g if there is significant modification or the lore runs long.

Originally created for @Perry321, a straightforward bio. Designed to provide a simple lore section and relationship section, with sidebars for treasures, inventory, etc. Can be modified to be shorter or longer with ease.

Pros: Looks great on mobile or desktop Straightforward and easy to modify Affordable

Cons: Simplistic

Eclipse Bio & Lore costs 200g for full-length, or 150g if half-length (cut off after the first section of inventory items).

Also originally created for @Perry321. A mirror of the above in a few ways, but more modifiable and with more space for lore. Extremely straightforward, designed primarily for personal lore with only some space for further fleshing out.

Additionally, the Amnesia Bio has two possible header options, an icon or item, or a bar-banner of the dragon in question.

Originally created for @FIERCEvWINGS. A simple layout, designed to allow space for custom icons, pixel art, achievements or subspecies ranks to be easily included. Easy to edit and acessible.

Pros: Works well on desktop and mobile Easy as anything to modify Very affordable

Simple but very easily changed - has mirrored options, sidebar options and is very easy to tweak. Space for inventory items, relationships, familiars, badges in the sidebar, while the main column carries lore, personality and biography. Easy to edit.

Pros: Works well on desktop and mobile Relatively straightforward to edit. Affordable

Cons: Two even-sized columns can make it hard to decide where to start Limited in scope despite adaptability.

Simple but very easily changed. Designed to be more like an official file on the dragon rather than a story, this is for your dodgy, weird dragons at the edge of your clan, or the research subjects.

Pros: Works fine on desktop and mobile Relatively straightforward to edit. Affordable

Cons: Limited space for additional information. No planned space for graphics or items.

Simple but elegant and easy to stylise and personalise. Elemental theming with a storybook vibe, this is for dragons who have or tell a story, with space for personalised quotes or themes.

Pros: Looks great on desktop Easy to edit & modifiable Affordable

Cons: Janky on mobile Limited space for additional information.

Queen Bio & Lore costs 100g standard, going up 10g per addition (relationship block, favourite items, inventory, etc.).

Big, bold and a variant on Queen, above, making use of fewer banner sidebar images to allow for more space for inventory items, treasures, favourite foods, etc.. Includes relationships and plenty of space for a variety of lore.

Decorative bio with lots of free-use pixel art by @dreamingcity. Fun, pretty and simple, but still modifiable. However coding the images means this is not for uncertain newbies to bio codes.

Pros: Looks great on desktop Space for additional information Easy to swap complex image code for simpler banners

Cons: Tricky to modify due to images Slightly janky on mobile Not Cheap

Other

If you already have lore and simply want to use one of my bios, that's fine. Let me know which one and I can send you the code. However, if you already have lore for your dragon and you want help adjusting it to fit the bio so the formatting is neat and exact, that will have a charge of 50g.

In addition to this, I can also make a whole new bio code if the above do not suit your needs; prices for this are highly variable depending on the complexity, but start at a minimum of 100g and will require you to have a good idea of what you want the bio to look like and include.

Pricing is listed above, but you can also pay in treasure at a 1g:1000t conversion rate.

For Lore-Only Commissions:

• I will only accept gems or treasure as payment.
• There are only ever two slots at a time.

For Bio & Lore Commissions:

• I will accept gems, treasure, art trades, wishlist items and unhatched eggs (per LAH or Marketplace
  NOTE: Given that some of these will cost more than a single bio, this is factored in. If you trade a wishlist item or egg worth more than the price of the requested bio, the surplus price will be deducted from the next purchase.
  
  For example, if you sent in an egg (roughly 300g @ LAH) you could get two standard "Bog" bios with lore (150g each), or a Vargoth bio and lore (200g) and then 100g off your next purchase here.
  
  Due to various projects I cannot promise to have change for an item on hand. You can always send a PM in advance to enquire as to if it'd be feasible, but if you think you'll only be using this shop once it may be easier to just sell the item on AH in order to pay the exact amount.
• Five slots total at a time:
  • Two currency slots (One gems, one treasure)
  • One slot for art trades
  • One slot for wishlist items
  • One slot for unhatched eggs.
  • The last three can also be paid for with on-site currency, gems, treasure or mixed.
• Due to the time it can take, you may be waiting up to a month, depending on your place in the list and my own IRL things.

1. Reserve a slot, stating how you intend to pay.
2. If your reservation has gone through you will be pinged and your name added to the "Current Commissioners" list at the bottom of this post.
3. Bios and Lore are done in order of reservation; you may be waiting a month or so if you are numbers 4 or 5.
4. When your turn comes, I will PM you, asking for details. Specifically I would like:
   • The dragon you want the bio for, and a link to them.
   • Personality details, aesthetic details, relationships, and/or the role they have in the clan.
   • Quotes, items, or concepts you want included.
   • Which bio you want used for them, and any modifiers you know ahead of time.
   • Style of lore you want written.
5. Within (hopefully) a week, I will message back to show you a draft version of the bio. If you have any modifications you would like made, this is when you make them.
6. Assuming all modifications go through or the bio is acceptable, I will send the code over in PM.
7. At this point, you pay.
   NOTE: If you would prefer to pay up front that's fine. Just let me know when you reserve so I can make a note when the currency changes hands.
