FAMILIAR

Familiar: Tar-Trooper Slarg

Name: Bitumen

History: Cheery and amiable, Bitumen is the result of Porcelain commandeering Bil's cauldron to make Brea a companion.

PERSONALITY

Brea is lively and energetic, if not to the same degree as Panoptes. She loves to learn, which is a good part of why she spends so much time with Bilberrios - another part of it is that she loves Bil, who she considers her Dad. She's not blind to his faults, however, because she loves her siblings and her Mum too, and they've made it very clear how bad a person Bil can be - and thus Brea has joined Porcelain on the campaign to make Bil behave better.

For all she's more mature than Panoptes in some respects, Brea does have a very clear, perhaps childish, view of fairness.

ABOUT

The result of Bilberrios repeating the experiment which created Panoptes, albeit in a more controlled fashion, Brea is quite like her eldest siblings but different in some key ways. Her goop is more tarry than jam-like, though she can make sweet, edible varieties of goop inside her capsule, and unlike Pan, she's not an eldritch unknowable thing in the shape of a dragon.

... That said, she still might not actually be a dragon.

Also unlike all of her siblings, Brea genuinely enjoys spending time around Bil, not demanding playtime as Pan is prone to doing, antagonising him as Verbana and Chalice do, nor avoiding him like Cenotaph and Fauna. Instead, she'll often fly over to perch on his shoulder or his head as he works, asking what he's doing and insisting on a running commentary so that she can learn. Bil's not entirely sure of how much she actually absorbs - if it's a lot, she probably knows how to blow up his lab by now - but talking does keep her quiet, which is his goal.

Meanwhile for Brea, hearing her Dad talk is the goal. She enjoys the steady evenness of his voice, and, as she's gotten older and gained a better understanding of how many of her siblings feel about Bil, she enjoys making him pay, antagonism sating her indignation on her siblings behalves.

After all, while she does love her father, she also loves her siblings, and her siblings put up with her without complaint, being more likely to complain about not seeing her. With them - and with Porcelain - she knows she is always welcome, even if Porcelain prefers a warning before Brea joins to help work in the Infirmary.

Generally Brea is found perched on Bilberrios' head, asking for a thorough explanation of what he's doing.

At this point, honestly, she could probably replicate his experiments if she chose.

Of course, she's not going to. Unlike Bil - and at the insistence of Porcelain - Brea has morals.

RELATIONSHIPS

62581983p.png Bilberrios | Daddy!

Brea, it is known, loves Bilberrios a great deal more than most of her siblings, to Bilberrios' great consternation. In truth, as Brea has grown older - and, unlike Pan, matured - she's aware of Bil's dislike for her interest in his work, but she also dislikes how he makes her siblings feel, and continues to pay close, borderline annoying, attention.

20425368p.png Porcelain | Mummy

Where Panoptes spends a great deal of time with Porcelain and their siblings, Brea is more usually with Bil than Porcelain. Nonetheless, Brea does love her mother, and will often forcibly herd Bil away from his lab and back to Porcelain at the end of the day.

Pan is older than Brea, but hasn't matured as she has. Then again, Pan can eldritchly ablurgle while she... can't. His goop is like jam or jelly, where hers is more outright tarry. They're similar and different at once, and quite enjoy comparing. Sometimes loudly.

Verbana, Cenotaph, Chalice, Fauna | Sisters

Brea loves her sisters - even Chalice, who scares her sometimes. After all, none of them asked to exist and they're all making the most they can of their existence anyway, despite Bil... being Bil. As Brea grows older (and more spiteful) it is Bil who suffers her indignant retaliation on her siblings' behalves.
