Pix
Cafeteria Owner, Chef, Nature Ambassador
Biography
Pix and his younger sister hatched as fae in a clan called Polar Sky the hatchery being full of dragons during that time. He, however, didn't really feel connected to his clan mates nor did he feel connected with himself he not being sure who he was and what he wanted to do. He wanted to find the answer and left the clan early on moving to the Observatory hoping to find answers in there. While in the Observatory Pix noticed that he did not feel like he was in the right body he feeling like a female but being in a male body. While wondering about that he came to conclusion that he was not male at all but instead she was female. She also noticed that she did not really like being in the Observatory finding the lack of fresh air saddening. She wanted to get closer to nature and asked higher ups if she could transfer to the Behemoth which she was allowed to do she moving in there right before Greenskeeper Gathering. Pix enjoyed her time more in the Behemoth befriending many dragons that had come there to study. Pix focused on cookery but she also took ambassador classes dreaming about getting a work as one one day. As she studied cookery she started to get sick of being constantly called "he", usually by accident, and she decided to change her appearance. She managed to get funds to buy herself a coatl scroll and gender change scroll and she asked her friend to use them on her, normal just-in-case practise. The breed change wasn't really necessary but faes had very flat voice and Pix didn't trust that others would notice the gender change if she stayed as one. Also, having feathered body sounded nice for her. Pix's plan worked and others started to have easier time using right pronouns for her. Pix had studied hard eventually graduating with her friends. After that she started to wonder where she would be assigned she now being both ambassador and a chef. Out of her friends she was called to meet with Ministry first Pix being nervous to hear where she would end up. To her disappointment they had thought about sending her to an arcane clan that had had some issues with their previous ambassador and she, as fellow arcane dragon, could help fix what the previous one had caused. Pix was not happy but she was too afraid of opposing her higher ups and accepted the job. Pix tried to look happy due to her friends being happy for her promotion but deep down she was sad and slightly confused. She had been given a map to her new workplace she being very sure that was where her original home had been yet the name was totally different. Her friends escorted her to the docks promising to visit her one day and Pix left the Labyrinth arriving to the coast of a familiar wood two days later due to a stop on Dragonhome's coast. Pix did not remember the statues guarding the road which she didn't remember either as she walked through the wood that she knew for sure. She was both sad and kind of amused when she stepped in the lair it being clearly her original home but looking very different having a lot of unfinished buildings and different step structure. The lair was very quiet and unsure why that was the case she made her way to the inn in where Vataja reminded her that the clan was nocturnal. Once the clan started to wake up Pix had to reintroduce herself to the residents it having no new faces but missing some old ones. She had changed a lot since leaving the clan and most of the residents did not recognize her and once they did they kept referring her as "he" remembering her as such. After her reason of coming back had been made clear Rosalin pulled her to design her a cafeteria that would act as her embassy and while it was being built Pix worked to relearn nocturnal lifestyle and work an agreement with Megan over who dealt with feeding the clan. Pix took that work from the older fae due to her profession and lived with her until the cafeteria was finished. Once the cafeteria was ready, thanks to some help from fire, Pix started her jobs fully in her new, old clan often finding herself making snacks for spiral sisters June and Aspen's parties. Pix enjoyed her job occasionally paying the Behemoth a visit to maintain ties. There was not much to do other than that but after the Night of the Nocturne she suddenly realized that the Gathering was less than half a year away. It wasn't the big problem but the fact that she should be in the Behemoth to help with the holiday but at the same time she should be in the clan maintaining the cafeteria. Vataja could do that for short period of time but the gathering would be a lot longer than her usual visits and she could not rely on the inn-keeper in case he had his own work. She tried to not stress herself with that her familiar companions assuring everything would go well but Pix was still nervous. She was very happy when a young nocturne Valenca asked to work as waitress and after the young dragon learned the tropes Pix calmed down being sure the young dragon could maintain the cafeteria with Vataja most likely checking in occasionally. Pix’s life was not that eventful. She just maintained the cafeteria or travelled to the Labyrinth to maintain ties. She heard of all kinds of events when serving her clan mates but she wasn’t really part of any of them. For the longest time Fiona starting to maintain the cafeteria as daylight substitute was the most noteworthy event to happen to her. Before that the biggest event had been connecting the cafeteria with the shadow embassy through a magical cupboard. Ayla wanted to offer some snacks to dragons visiting the magic boutique but the shadow ambassador couldn’t bake, and Pix had no issues with delivering her something to offer. That was the most the two ambassadors interacted but it was still more than with Fiona who only showed up if the clan had a lot of diurnal visitors. Pix had worked as ambassador for about two years and the earth holiday had recently ended. She had gotten up early to serve Finlande who woke up early to eat early. The door was open but the skydancer didn’t want to be alone though Pix did not know why. The skydancer was quite a weird case in other ways too; she used to eat around the same time as everyone else but suddenly started to eat before majority earlier that year and recently she had started to eat before anyone even got up. During her time as the cafeteria owner Pix had noticed Finlande was more orange than what she was talky, and though she wanted to ask what bothered the water dragon she knew she would just waste her own breath trying to get answer to that. Later that afternoon Hillo came back home, earlier than what Pix had expected. The fellow coatl was a travelling performer who also sold Ayla’s wares, Pix remembered that well as he had started his yearly tours when she had had her first Gathering as an ambassador. Pix gave him his meal, bowl of eel and sardine rolls from night before, after which the fake fire dragon started to ask for all kinds of updates. Pix gave short answers to all of the questions, except for the last one. The clan had increased its defense just recently, and the leaders had warned about bounty hunters, but no one knew why. Pix had heard more rumors than she had feathers but none of them seemed to be more believable than the other. Hillo then asked if Ayla was home, which she was not; she had ambassador work to do in the shadow domain. He had obtained a seemingly magical mirror on his way home and he asked if Pix could give it to Ayla once she returned. Pix promised to do that and placed it on her self so she remembered it. She could have placed it in the cabinet to be ready but she could not be sure it was Ayla who opened it in the other end; it could also be one of her companions or someone waiting the boutique to open. Also, it was better if Pix could repeat what Hillo had said when handing it over. After that Hillo left and Valenca arrived to start her night’s work. Few nights after that Undreg and Naru were eating at the counter as it was quieter than night before. Pix had focused on cooking the fresh food for the night but she had still noticed the two nocturnes stare at the mirror Hillo had brought. After having finished his meal Undreg asked where Pix had gotten the mirror and Pix told the little she knew. The summoner then asked if he could have it as he wanted to study it. Ayla was not home yet, and probably wouldn’t be in few nights, and Pix gave the mirror to the young nocturne. She did not know what it did but both she and her goblin were sure it was magical, and Pix didn’t really want a magic mirror spy on her or the other residents. The nocturnes seemed to be able to activate the mirror and at least Naru was excited about that. She had visited the cafeteria one night and asked everyone to look at it. Pix nor Valenca saw nothing out of ordinary but others saw alternative reflections. Most of them were confused or curious while Richard became very worried after taking a look. The poet was usually social and easy to talk to but when Pix asked what had scared him, surely it had not been the eagle that he had seen in the mirror, he refused to answer and left the cafeteria as soon as he finished his meal. He didn’t even thank for the food as he left, very unlike of him. Life was otherwise peaceful as the Night of the Nocturne approached except for that one bounty hunter who sneaked in. They though were taken care of fast and Pix hoped the situation, whatever it was, would be solved soon. She heard the border guards were growing tired. The bounty hunter had been sentenced the night before, and like usual Finlande was waiting Pix to get up though that day the skydancer had looked very nervous. Pix welcomed her in, and since all the plant and insect-based foods had been eaten the previous night she started to make a simple salad for the older dragon to eat. The silence was a bit awkward but Pix had already gotten used to that. Pix was about done when she had a random and nonsensical thought that was gone as soon as it had appeared. She was sure she was just tired and didn’t pay much thought to the random event as she placed the bowl in front of Finlande. After that she got cooking the warm meals. Finlande ate her food fast as usual and prepared to leave almost as fast. She though took a bit longer than usual and Pix turned to see if everything was fine. She looked a bit woozy and Pix asked if the water dragon was alright and if she needed help. Finlande said she was fine and told she could reach the healing offices on her own. Pix didn’t believe that but her stove was already heating up and she couldn’t leave it alone. Pix smelled something fishy as she watched Finlande wobble away from the cafeteria, faster than expected. She had seemingly felt good when she had stepped in and her condition had gotten worse after she had eaten the salad. The food could have gotten bad but Pix was very precise that didn’t happen, there were spells to make sure of that, and Finlande’s condition had not looked like a food poisoning. If anything, it looked like she had been drugged. Pix picked the empty bowl from the counter and as she did that she noticed Finlande’s two companions had stayed inside. The swan was trying to wake up the wolf who did not react to being poked. Pix walked to the other side of the counter to check the canine. It was breathing, it just didn’t wake up. Pix wasn’t sure what she had to do and so she took the wolf and the swan to her office so they wouldn’t be on the way of other residents. She could ask for help once others woke up. Pix had checked to ingredients she had used on Finlande’s salad but had not noticed anything out of place. Valenca arrived and said there was an emergency outside; Finlande had vanished and the leaders wanted to find her as soon as possible. That made Pix nervous; she could be the last dragon to have seen the skydancer and she was worried she could be seen as potential culprit. After asking if Puolanka was already on the case she asked Valenca to taste the ingredients of Finlande’s salad. The nocturne was confused by the order but eventually took a bite after Pix pressured her. Minutes passed but Valenca did not feel any different, except the mild stomach ache from the plants, and that told Pix the ingredients were edible. It was good but implied something bad; Finlande’s meal had, maybe, been drugged but the only dragons in the building had been Pix and Finlande herself and the only other sentient being had been Pix’s goblin. Valenca noticed something bothered Pix but she refused to answer to her question. She was about to ask the nocturne to get Puolanka there but the investigator arrived before she could open her mouth. Pix asked Valenca to get the food ready and came closer to talk with the other nocturne. Diurnal dragons had seen Finlande arrive to the cafeteria and Pix told what had happened inside. After giving the rundown the ambassador had led the investigator to the office where the wolf was still passed out. Puolanka took a close look at the canine and noticed it had some powder on its snout, and he noticed there seemed to be same powder on Finlande’s bowl as well. He asked if Pix knew where that powder had come from and Pix swore she did not know. She and Finlande had been the only dragons inside the building and Pix was sure she had not done it. Pix’s goblin suggested that maybe the culprit was a ghost; they had heard the doorbell ring but no one had moved in or out. Pix had not noticed the bell ring and the goblin was surprised to hear that. They had heard it about when she had gotten Finlande’s salad ready, when Pix had had the random thought. She had heard of thought transfer and wondered if that could have been used to distract her from the bell. The goblin just said “maybe”. After chatting with the goblin for a moment Pix turned her attention back towards Puolanka and asked if he had been privileged. The nocturne knew what that meant and said “no” after which Pix repeated what the goblin had told through telepathy. Puolanka thanked for the information and left to ask if the healers had lost any sleep drugs. Though being the last dragon to see Finlande awake, Fauna had seen her later being seemingly dragged to the wood, no one seemed to blame Pix. Even before Finlande’s wolf woke up to prove she had not knocked it out no one accused her but Pix could not really calm down. Her reputation was safe but that didn’t mean she was safe. Someone or something had sneaked into the cafeteria without anyone noticing, and it could distract its target with thought transfer. It could strike again. Valenca was less worried of the thing. She was with others when they thought a bounty hunter had caught Finlande, apparently the skydancer had bounty on her head, and so had Richard. That though did not make Pix feel much better. Maybe that hunter was still hiding in the building waiting for a moment to catch the poet, and Pix lived in the building. The hunter could replace her when she was sleeping. It had been few nights since Finlande had gone missing and thus far no one else had vanished. Pix and Valenca were finishing the last pieces of that night’s buffet when Svecica arrived to announce the clan was going to hold a conference starting midnight. Pix finished the food and arrived to the courtroom among the last residents, due to her job that was quite common. She was one of seemingly few residents who did not care about clan’s five guardian spirits and she usually ignored the beginning of conferences, the moment when Karmiini asks Ruoigu to look after them. That night the chairdragon though called all five and that caught Pix’s attention, and the old pearlcatcher told the five demanded something from the clan. Kupari took the floor from there and told that the five wanted one to be exiled, they condemned “her” actions and demand “her” to leave the clan and the wood entirely. For a moment Pix feared she had angered the five but she could not think what she had done. Skye was eager to know who that “she” was and Kupari said that was Naru. Pix had always found the young nocturne a bit arrogant and was quite curious to hear how she had managed to anger the five spirits. They had not done anything when Pahatar had tried some dream manipulation a bit over a year back. Naru explained something about the mirror Hillo had brought and Finlande having a power to break reality, basically, and the nocturne wanted to try use their power to contact the fate. That seemed to be what the guardians didn’t allow, and neither did the clan. Naru seemed to notice that and ultimately she ran away that ending the conference abruptly. As Pix returned to the cafeteria she thought if she should have given the mirror to Ayla instead of the nocturnes. Undreg had not been with his daughter, if anything he had been against her, but it didn’t change the fact that the mirror had ended in wrong hands. She also didn’t know how to feel about Finlande’s power, or that Naru had her, though it did explain why the skydancer had been so paranoid of other dragons. Maybe it also explained why Richard had been scared of his reflection. The spiral seemed to be Finlande’s only friend and he could have known of her power. After Naru left the issue with bounty hunters started to calm down, though not because the nocturne was gone. With the situation getting better and the revelations bothering Pix she decided to pay the Labyrinth a visit. She had not been there since before the earth holiday and the beautiful greenery felt very calling after few weeks of stress the clan had gone through. The clan life had returned back to normal after Pix returned from the Labyrinth and she continued her nights like usual. It though was impossible to forget about the incident with the mirror and Finlande as that was all the clan talked about and Richard had learned from Max and started to brood in the cafeteria. On the positive side the poet didn’t spend most of his nights in there, just the later hours when he arrived to eat, or attempted to eat. Mistral Jamboree had ended few nights prior and Pix had already received first messages relating to the upcoming Greenskeeper Gathering. It was still over a month away but as an ambassador she received information about it early so she could prepare. She was expected to arrive to the Labyrinth around middle of the month so she could help with organizing and make sure the clan had a great holiday. That usually meant that May was very busy and stressful month for Pix as she needed to juggle between answering messages, preparing for the travel, running the cafeteria and helping with organizing and running the Gathering once she got to the other side of the continent. She was usually quite tired once it was all over but sadly she was only able to rest on her way home, once there she immediately returned to running the cafeteria. It was nearing the middle of the April and the night had started like any other; Pix had woken up early afternoon and started to prepare the buffet for that night along with organizing the food Megan had delivered while she had been asleep. The buffet was about ready when Svecica came to announce that there was a conference being held. Pix couldn’t think of any important topic and just assumed it was one of the update conferences. They were boring but she always attended them as due to her status she needed to stay updated about everything, and rumors that flied in the cafeteria were not the ideal way to do so. Pix made sure nothing was on and food was protected with right spells before exiting the building and arrived to the courtroom among the last dragons like usual. Once everyone, or most, was present Karmiini stepped on the podium on the front and called forth the five guardians of the clan. Pix’s heart skipped a beat as she heard those words and she prepared for another exile demand from the guardians. She couldn’t think who had angered them this time and she was worried she was on the list as someone who just didn’t care about them. Pix’s worries though were soon proven greatly exaggerated as the chairdragon called Aspen forth and there was no chance the event organizer had anything to do with the spirits, which made Karmiini’s starting words seem even weirder. Aspen flew to the front and started by asking if most residents remembered the conference from the last Night of the Nocturne, the one demanded by the spirits. Everyone who had been present that night remembered and even the dragons who had arrived after that knew of it. After getting everyone to the same page the event organizer pointed out that their clan celebrated every one of the eleven flights yet they did not celebrate their own guardians at all. Pix was sure the reason for that was that they were not that important, just ancient beastclan gods the clan used to differentiate itself from others. Aspen continued that she and her little group had been planning to organize potentially annual event to fix the “issue” and the spiral went into more detail. The group had planned up a five-night event which would be a gathering-free. Each night would be dedicated to one of the guardians and they would have their own theme, activities and buffet. The whole event would take place in the middle of the May so its end aligned with the anniversary of Ruoigu’s discovery. After that Aspen detailed what each night would include. Pix was anything but thrilled by the suggestion, if anything she was quite annoyed. A five-night event in the middle of May with each night having its own buffet would mean significantly more work for her as she would most likely be the one to do the cooking, she already did that for the other events the spiral sisters occasionally organized. Surely Valenca would be more than happy to help but with how big the event was supposed to be, especially the last night, there was no way Pix was not needed, and she was already busy during that month. Karmiini started to ask opinions from relevant dragons, meaning leaders and the priestess, and Pix got quite annoyed when they all were alright with the event. Pix was not, in fact she was against, and she knew she was in significant minority with her stand. Tinker, Alfa, Kupari and Trooper all gave their permission for the event, though Tinker asked for something in return if gatherings were not organized during the event, after which Karmiini asked for Pix’s opinion. Pix had not expected to be remembered and she spent a moment figuring out how to bring up her concerns. It was no secret that the planned month was already busy for her, and the ambassadors next to her knew very well how busy the month of the holiday could be. All she really needed to do was to say that it would make her month even more busy. It was unclear if the clan understood what Pix tried to say when she pointed out that the month would become too busy for her is the event was to be held. Few offered to help with cooking or do it altogether, among them Valenca who enjoyed making snack for events. That though did not change the fact that Pix needed to supervise what food was used during the event so she knew what could be used to feed the clan outside the festivities. She also didn’t like how the event did not allow her a moment to rest. She could, in theory, stay in the clan until the festival was finished but she had to leave as soon as it was over if she wanted to reach the Labyrinth in time. That meant no cleaning afterwards or even sleep. She would need to sleep on the ship and that was never nice for her. Pix was severely outnumbered, only other residents who was not that into having the festival was Morgana who did not like the idea of work-free event. She though gave in after the clan managed to find a compromise in form of “ritualistic cleaning” and Pix followed suit. Other residents offered to help with planning the buffet and once recipes were written down they could be made by anyone who knew the basics of cooking, if one was hopeful. That didn’t change the fact that the first festival would still be very busy for Pix since she, as the one having studied cuisine, would be the one designing the festival treats but resisting would not help anyone and reluctantly she gave in. The event organizers got to work as soon as the conference was finished as the event would be less than month away. Pix worked with Aspen and her girlfriend Feeniks as they planned specialized food for each night with Ayla and Valenca helping occasionally. If the waitress was not doing that then she was running the cafeteria and if she was lending a hand then Fiona or Vataja had to take care of the nightly buffet. While figuring out the fitting materials and how to mix them into nice treats Pix also had to do her ambassador job as the Gathering was creeping ever closer and she was getting quite tired in the middle of all of that. After the recipes were figured out Pix took a moment to rest before it was time to actually make the planned treats and she made sure everything went well. They had done some tests to see if their planned treats worked but it was still, technically, the first time they were made and the chef felt like she had to make sure everything went smoothly. Good thing about the festival was that it made cafeteria useless for few nights and after setting the buffet for the night Pix enjoyed the silence that was so rare in the building. She didn’t really care about taking part in activities, if she went out she just went to eat. During the last night she spent most of her time preparing to leave at sunrise and she was partly annoyed and partly pleased to be gifted throughout the night. The residents thanked her for the hard work she did every night and some wished her luck for the travel. Once the festival ended and the clan started to clean the most important places before heading to their nests Pix headed to clan’s port with Mosaic and once on the ship she took a nap. At the Labyrinth she did her best to make sure that the clan had bountiful Gathering and once that was over she was so tired she fell asleep in the middle of preparing to get home. On the ship back to the clan she hoped the next year’s festival was less tiring for her if it was not cancelled altogether. Thing remained the same for Pix following the festival; she was busy preparing meals for the clan, double so if there was an elemental holiday, and if she was not cooking then she was at the Labyrinth running ambassador business. Rest was such a rarity to her that getting hit with a meteorite outside arcane domain felt more common than it. She would have wanted more chances to rest but she was the one who had decided to become both a chef and an ambassador and as such she felt like she couldn’t really complain. She should have known better when she was younger. Starfall Celebration was just around the corner and like usual Pix was busy planning treats for it. Hillo was on his way from fire domain to the Observatory and on his way he had decided to visit the clan briefly. As he was eating in the cafeteria he asked Pix for updates regarding the clan life and she delivered them in the middle of doing ten other things. After Hillo had done eating he watched the fellow coatl for a moment before asking if Pix would like an extra pair of hands in her cafeteria. The question was rhetorical and Pix asked what the performer hinted at. He was vague, like magicians tended to be, and just said he might have suggested work for someone on his way to the clan. Pix turned to face Hillo asking for more details but the performer didn’t give them. He just said nothing was guaranteed, thanked for the food and left to reach the Observatory on time. The Starfall had started and Pix had yet to see any new hands knock the cafeteria door. Like usual she was making sure the nightly buffet was enough to feed the clan and the plates were clean before they were given to the next diner. She was cleaning few glasses that had not been cleaned fully by the spell when she noticed an unfamiliar, very tired dragon stand just on the other side of the counter looking a bit lost. It was possible she was just a visitor and Pix asked if the guardian needed some help. She seemed caught off guard by the question, possibly because she was clearly very tired, and after clearing her head the guardian told she was looking for Pix. Pix said that the visitor had found her and the guardian took her time to react. She introduced herself as Annalee, told she had worked as barista in her previous workplace, mentioned that she had come looking for new job after Hillo had so suggested and offered hand for a handshake. Pix reached her hand to respond to it. Pix held Annalee’s hand as she glanced the bigger dragon from head to tail. Her hand was shaking slightly, she seemed exhausted and her stomach was louder than thunder. Pix asked if the younger dragon was alright and she explained having been moving since morning and she had not eaten for a while, and she had kind of overworked herself in her previous job. Pix nodded to sign she understood. She guided the tired dragon to the buffet and asked her to get something to eat. Once she was done she should follow the green ridgeback and as Annalee moved closer to the buffet Pix shouted to Vataja to give the new resident a free stay. Vataja’s mouth was full of fish but he was able to respond with his hands. The next day Pix found Annalee in the cafeteria once she woke up. She asked if the guardian had slept well, she at the very least seemed to feel better now. Annalee verified she had slept well and after that Pix asked if the guardian was truly looking for work. The guardian verified that as well and Pix decided to test if the barista knew how to cook, or at the very least knew the basics. She picked a simple recipe from her shelf and asked the guardian to make it for her as breakfast. Annalee got to the kitchen, washed her hands and got to work seeming slightly nervous. Pix helped by telling where tools and ingredients were, it was unreasonable of her to expect the new dragon knew where everything was, but remained silent otherwise. The breakfast was ready by the time Valenca arrived to work and it was certainly eatable, and better than what Pix had expected. She accepted the barista as a member of the cafeteria crew, showed the places for the new worker and after that was done it was late enough for the clan to be mostly awake. Pix sent Annalee to look for Tinker so she could get herself settled as part of the clan. She also allowed the barista to take the first few nights easy as she got used to her new home, and the nocturnal lifestyle. Annalee thanked Pix as she left to look for the leaders and the older crew got to work. They were slightly late with the buffet. Annalee settled into the clan and the cafeteria nicely and she did great job with keeping the clan fed whenever Pix had business to run in the Labyrinth. Her barista background was quite clear both from how good coffee she made was as well as how pristine her taste was on that front. She didn’t say it directly but she seemed a bit disappointed with the quality of coffee beans Pix had brought from the Labyrinth where most of Sornieth’s beans were grown. The long travel through different elemental regions did affect the quality a little but to Pix the difference between the fresh beans and the travelled beans was like the difference between fresh out of oven cake and two hours on the table cake. The longer Annalee worked in the cafeteria the clearer it became that something bothered her. Pix was not sure what it was; it could have been the coffee beans but also the fact that she didn’t seem to have a charge. Pix wondered if she should check what was wrong with her employee but decided not to. The young guardian would need to bring the issue up herself, that was just a good thing to learn. Eventually the barista brought up her worries and they were about coffee beans. She had thought that since there was a coffee variety that was specially made to grow in arcane domain, due to the long distance between it and nature domain, the clan should start growing that. The thing was that she was not entirely sure it could grow in where the clan lived in and if the clan would allow such an expensive investment. Pix knew of the coffee variety and she knew it was pricey, partly because of the borderline magical taste and partly because the overall yield was way smaller than with nature’s beans. She suggested the guardian to ask Fen if the plant would grow in the clan area and if it did she should then negotiate with Tres for the money. Annalee invited the ecologist to the cafeteria so Pix could hear the conversation as well, not that she herself saw that necessary, and the fae arrived with Malvadust. The herbalist looked rather tired; made sense considering it was flu season, meanwhile Fen looked weird being in the cafeteria in the first place. He was one of the few dragons who didn’t eat in the building, instead he either ate while at work or he was stuck in healing offices for having eaten something he should not have. Pix did not take part of the conversation as she focused on making meals but she listened what the three talked about. Fen was sure the coffee variant would grow in the wood and he was sure Tres would give money to buy the beans because they were of finer taste. That was such a weird sentence to hear from the fae considering he could be served muddy water as coffee and he wouldn’t even notice. With that figured out Annalee asked Pix to take part in conversation. If she was allowed to buy the beans she would need a place to grow the plants. Fauna had a garden in where most of clan’s spices and herbs were grown but Annalee considered that too open place for the coffee plants, the direct sunlight could ruin the quality. Pix thought the barista was almost too passionate about the coffee but she didn’t dare to say that aloud, there was a chance she insulted guardian’s charge and she didn’t want to risk it. She asked where the barista was planning to grow the plants if not in Fauna’s garden and Annalee asked if Pix used the space behind the cafeteria for anything. Behind the cafeteria there was a little piece of land that was left unused just in case, maybe Pix was supposed to make a little garden for herself or it was left there in case there was need to expand. At the moment there were no plans or need for the little area and Annalee asked if she could turn it into a coffee garden. Pix was not outright against the idea but with how close it was there was a chance that she would need to tend it and she rather left gardening to someone else, she was already busy with all her other work. She allowed Annalee to use the space but she would need to take care of it herself, no delegating it to anyone else unless she got sick or injured. Annalee accepted the terms and now she just needed to discuss with the accountant. Annalee had talked with Tres when he had arrived to eat and the next day she had arrived to work a bit late because she had met the accountant in his office. The day after that Pix found the guardian working on the unused piece of land and Pix took that as a sign that her investment had been accepted. The barista started her days by making some progress in the garden before the proper work started and at morning Pix often checked the site before crawling to bed. Eventually the barista was able to plant the seeds and Pix was able to see the plants grow from her window. Annalee took a good care of the garden and she seemed very protective of it, at times she checked the plants were alright in the middle of the main work. For any other breed that kind of behavior would have been overbearing but for a guardian it made more sense and Pix was not one bit surprised when Annalee told the garden was her charge. Pix was happy for the younger dragon and she was happy that she had not been the charge instead. She was sure she would have gotten sick of a body guard quite fast, and the actual charge was quite relaxing sight to see from the window before falling to sleep. |

Traits
Pix is an arcane coatl with light green body having darker throat and legs with few stripes. Upper half of her throat as well as her tail are dark grey with chitin segments her tail tip glowing dim yellow. That is due to an appearance spell that was gifted to her by her Behemoth friends it also creating short green antennae just behind her eyes and small bug wings under her wings they being too small to carry her. Her real wings and head feathers often being either pressed against her neck or almost fully opened are pink with darker segments on wings and tips on head feathers. On her back, wings, head feathers and face she has light blue swirls creating a bit of a lace look. She was originally a fae though she has carried very little over only her head feathers being rather big due to her previous breed and her cheek fur would be longer but she keeps it very short. She has slightly brighter eyes than most arcane dragons. Pix loves fairy and nature aesthetic and she has dressed up wanting to imitate that. She has dark gilded crown with two different shaded roses, pale yellow and pale punk, on both sides, a gilded collar with long pink gem, dark green banner decorating her sides, back and tail and rose tangles decorating her tail and all legs as well as few vines on her wings. Since she is afraid of the thorns from hurting her, which they do occasionally, she also wears dark green protective gloves and stocking them preventing thorns from hurting her. As she is a nature ambassador she often wears her emblem, tome and halo as sign of her status. Pix used to have a bit deep voice when she was a fae but it didn't change in breed change and now she has high voice for a coatl. Pix has kind but also a bit timid and quiet voice with a melodic and sweet twist. She has Celtic accent. Pix is kind but a somewhat timid dragon being ready for new thing but locks down easily if something unexpected happens. That though is not a big deal she usually recovering from it fast enough to not be noticed by others. Though appearing very sweet and helpful dragon she isn't an angel she often thinking about a bit mean things about dragons she finds annoying. She though cares about her public image and avoids saying anything mean as that would cause problems for her. She though doesn't leave anyone out if she sees them needing help though if she finds them annoying she can be a bit sassy towards them. Pix is a social dragon but she feels rather disconnected from the clan with who she lives with. She shares interests with very few and even when she does she feels disconnected because of the other not shared interests. She though has friends with who she likes to hang out and even if they are not available she doesn't mind being alone. Thanks to her job as cafeteria owner she doesn't really fear of being totally left alone dragons visiting her to eat. She likes to serve her meals for them taking that opportunity to hear some rumors and worries. She likes to listen to secrets and less known stuff but she doe not like spreading them as that would be mean. Of course annoying dragons are exception to that. Pix has total of four companions Flora the sprouting goblin being her first they having joined her when she moved to the Behemoth. They were meant to help her adapt to the new home but they stuck with her starting to travel on her shoulder everywhere after she changed breed. Flora is a bit mischievous and prideful being easily offended, talking only to specific few through telepathy and usually doing as they pleases usually causing some problems for Pix. Her ambassador familiar Dear on the other hand is very calm and docile often making sure Flora doesn't cause too much trouble they interacting with Pix only if she needs guidance spending their time in the garden. They too use telepathy. Pix also has two bird companions, Bounce the paunchy green percher and Keiju the chattering parrot. Unlike Flora and Dear the birds are not that smart only understanding handful of words and speak very few of them. Keiju can say much more words that Bounce but as it doesn't understand them they are usually just it imitating words rather than speaking. They both act as entertainments for cafeteria visitors sitting on Pix's shoulders if Flora hasn't claimed them. Pix is an arcane dragon and knows the most basic levitating and size altering spells she most commonly using them to make right sized meals for others. She also knows a spell to keep food hot or cold for long period of time and she can also erase and write small blocks of text with magic. Those spells she uses to store leftover food for daytime visitors. She tried to learn some nature spells and can make small flowers sprout though only few and her arcane magic usually either kills them or messes them up very fast. What she was however able to learn in Behemoth was good cooking skills and she knows many recipes by heart and can make them with great confidence as she knows she can do them. She also has sharp smell and taste. |
