Dragon Share Theme Week
What is "Theme Week?"
Dragon Share Theme Week is a weekly event in our Dragon Share forum. The theme changes every Monday, stickied in the Dragon Share forum, and the new theme is typically announced in our Site Status box on the front page.
Is it a contest? Are there prizes?
To put it simply, no. Theme Week is designed to be a low-pressure event for players to show off their dragons with other like-minded players. We do have a spotlight for each week, announced in the companion discussion thread for the current theme. Spotlights are random. As long as the shared dragons fit the theme and don't exceed that week's maximum number of dragons, a player is eligible for the spotlight!
Theme Weeks are meant to be lighthearted fun. They are not a part of our development cycle, with the sole exception of themes complementing a release (such as The Bogsneak Mutagen) and monthly elemental Festivals.
But half my Lair fits the theme!
Choose wisely. Besides, you never know when a particular theme will roll back around!
It's Dangerous to Go Alone!
In August, Theme Weeks started to revolve around the idea of classes, like those found in most roleplaying games. Ultimately, these themes were a lead up to It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Players were asked to choose dragons that best visually fit the theme and to share the context and lore behind why the dragon best fit the theme.
When it came time to select dragons, we simply could not break the spotlight for this theme down to only three. Your excitement and creativity deserved more than a simple discussion thread spotlight of three selections. Below are only SOME of the outstanding IDtGA submissions. Click on the dragon to be taken straight to their post. Remember, these are only some of the five-dragon groups standing before the unnamed Guardian awaiting her decision. If you like reading dragon lore or "headcanons," this thread is for you!

The Trading Post and forums have been in a neck and neck race for most visited for years now. At the end of each month, the Trading Post would generally pull ahead with a slight lead over the forums.

Since then, the Trading Post has seen a significant increase in player visits since the Bogsneak breed materialized.

Flight Festival Recap 2016-2017
For those new to Flight Rising, over the last three years, the community created the tradition of celebrating a Flight’s holiday by putting on a site-wide organized event. These events are characterized by a “hub” posted in the Flight Rising Discussion forum. Here players share and celebrate their Flight with their fellow players and provide a digest of links and mini-events happening around the site.
Our August Community Update covered the 2015-2016 Crystalline Gala through Greenskeeper Gathering. Today we’ll cover the 2016-2017 Brightshine Jubilee through Flameforger's Festival!. Given the depth and breadth of the events, it’s not always possible to recap every mini-event held. Please take the time to check out each hub to see everything Light, Lightning, and Fire had to offer their fellow players this year!

She waits until you agree before her head crests perk up in a clear sign of happiness, or maybe relief.
“Brilliant… Someone has got into our systems and changed all the passwords to riddles… I’m rubbish at riddles, so I’m going to need your help to solve them...” - [TCC] CYOA - Escape from Tempest Spire
Oh no! The robots have escaped the Golem Workshop and invaded the Tempest Spire! Now dragons who've traveled from all over to celebrate Thundercrack have been trapped inside with these bloodthirsty machines. It's going to take all of their resourcefulness and cunning to: Escape from Tempest Spire.
