Banners[/url] A loud crackling noise erupts over the Lightning-wide sound systems that had been installed, the better to get the Stormcatcher's orders out to every individual living within the Shifting Expanse. [b][i][color=orange]“Attention, all employees!”[/color][/i][/b] a brisk voice echoes out over the airwaves. “Preparations for the past few months have been hectic, I’m sure; but everything will pay off right at this very moment!” The sound makes dragon heads turn around and look up, curious as to what the next words will be. True, the entire Lightning territory had been extremely busy with getting everything right; for it was approaching the time when the entire Shifting Expanse would be open for all dragons, regardless of Flight or alignment, could come and join in. [b][color=orange]“Let the celebrations begin! And remember, as our beloved Bossdad would say—“[/b][/color] the voice trailed off; before scuffling sounds were heard—the microphone was then handed over to the Stormcatcher, who then bellowed, in his usual fashion, [b]“GET BACK TO WORK!”[/b]; very nearly breaking the sound system in the process! The native Lightning dragon population chuckles at the inside joke, before those assembled at the celebration grounds immediately set off the fireworks that they’ve had in storage since last year; along with starting up the gigantic projection screens; flaring into life in a flash of brilliant cyan, before settling down to a dimmer hum, depicting the banner above. Things are going normal, at least until… A loud siren goes off from the tallest tower in the Tempest Spire; suddenly accompanied by several more sirens blaring out in response as the territory’s security measures have been tripped and are forced to mobilize! The sound cuts through the air, shrill and unnatural; until the largest projection screen suddenly shifts from the serene projection into something that looks like a wall breach, complete with flashing alarms going crazy. [i][color=orange]“U-uh, excuse me,”[/color][/i] the same voice says over the installed system, trying to mask the sound of shrill alarms going off left and right, [b][i][color=orange]“There’s nothing to worry about, everything’s—“[/color][/i][/b] before louder feedback sounds explode all around, and another voice comes onto the airwaves. [b][color=green]“Someone just tripped something, no need to worry, folks! We can get back to celebrat—“[/color][/b] it trails off, before a muffled yelling noise echoes throughout the Expanse; and the sound system goes silent. At that same moment, the entire electrical system that keeps the Stormcatcher’s tower goes out; and all lights flicker and fizzle for a moment… Back on the largest projection screen, these words suddenly flash, in a rather ominous shade of red, [center][b][color=red]“We are here. We are sentient. And we can hear you. We are the robotic creations, and we have come to take over the Shifting Expanse!”[/color][/b][/center] before fading out; and being replaced with: [center][b][size=6][color=red]“Welcome to the Robot Uprising.”[/color][/size][/b][/center][/center]
