But as it traveled from place to place, fathering pointless children, it began to develop a mind. It began to develop a voice and a soul. It couldn’t stand to see its children go off to die in the eternal wars. No, they would live good lives, the best that a decaying thing like itself could offer. It would spread its bloodline, making sure that the horrors of the breeding machine were stopped for good.
And thus, Mechanical Wants was founded, a lineage dedicated to helping the overlooked and unsouled, the dragons and creatures that one might abuse and destroy without a second thought. They would champion survival of all, not just the strong.
