► CHARACTER
An anxious and worrisome little tundra, Akasuki constantly frets about his job as an explorer, and above all else desperately needs to remain with his father. He misses his mother, Lelou, and sister, Akemi, and hopes that one day he will be able to return to Mistral Clan in the Windswept Plateau. Is also self-conscience about his appearance, knowing that his coloring and genes are strange, and undesirable. However, he is quick at adapting and can be very sociable at parties (something his mother claims comes from having grown up in the wind flight).
Akasuki also regularly wonders about his purpose in life, seeking for it at every opportunity. He's most likely triggered by the purpose his father always claims to have, although he doesn't know what that is. He wants to be of service to other clans, and to live happily, however that may work out.
► HISTORY Akasuki hugged his sister, Akemi, one last time, trying to hold back tears. His family of four, Lelou his mother, HobbitPress (or HP as everyone called him) his father, and his sister were the closest dragons to him, and his heart stung horribly to leave them. Or to be split up, really, because that was what was happening. His father was a traveler, and had a mission to fulfill, and he was leaving, although with the promise to return. His mother thought it best they each take a hatchling, so she was keeping Akemi, and Akasuki was going traveling with his father. "You'll be back!" his sister had told him, but he young tundra feared that he would never see them again. After all, his mother was recorder and librarian of the Mistral Clan, and he had read enough to know that few survived. After traveling to many clans, going through so much together, the two of them landed in Corrosionius, a derelict but scientific town near the Seedscar. At this point, the ancient breeding machine was breaking down, its wings had holes in them, its eyes were bleeding oil, and his legs ached. Things like him weren't made to last. “Son…I…don’t think…that…I…can…go…on…any…longer…” H.O.B.B.I.T.-PRESS said, before fainting in his arms. “No, no, no, no, no!”Akasuki yelled. It couldn’t be gone. He was barely an adult, he needed his father. There had to be a way. Carrying his broken body through the town, looking for some way to help him. He only got strange stares and bizarre comments from the citizens. HP was an abomination. You have to know that, something twisted and awful. But Ak wouldn’t know this, he wouldn’t believe this. It was his father, now matter where he came from. Evenchly, he ran into a robotics expert by the name of Verschmelzung. “Hey, can you help me? My father is…ill.” “Your fathers a robot?” “No, well, yes, but–” “A breeding machine…how sad.” She shook her head. “A what?” “A breeding machine. A way for single dragons to lay their nests without the need of a partner. Twisted stuff.” The spiral seemed oblivious to the bombshell she just dropped on the tundra. “No, that can’t be true! My father is a good man!” “It…is…true…I didn’t want…I didn’t want…you to know…that I am…an abomination…” These slurred words crawled out of his father's mouth, before he lapsed into unconsciousness again. “Well, is there anywhere where I can fix him?” Akasuki said tough grinted teeth, holding back tears. “Uh, Obmorozheniye labs would be a good start.” Walking into the dark and dusty laboratory, where a single blue Mirror worked furiously on an invention. A large Obelisk stood silent in the corner. “Hey. You there. I was told that you could help my father.” He said coldly. “Ah! How did you get in here without clearance?” Obmorozheniye jumped into the air, gesticulating wildly. “That’s not the point. Help him.” “Uh, you might want to go somewhere else. We don’t really deal with disease and sickness here.” “He’s a…*sob*…breeding machine.” “Hmmmm, let me take a look.” The great Obelisk said, taking the mangled Tundra thing from its son. HP stood in the robotics lab, tinkering with its left paw. The sky outside the window was pale red. It reminded it of its son. It should have told him sooner. It was a terrible father. It hadn’t seen him in months. He must hate it. The door opened slowly. It was Akasuki. “I-I was just coming to say that–” “AK, I am sorry that I didn’t tell you want I am, I am sorry that you took you away from your family, I am sorry that I have put–” “Hey, hey, it’s okay. I’ve just been out of an expectation, and I couldn’t tell you. I’m not mad, you’ve been through alot too.” Akasuki smiled at his father, who felt his shattered eyes well up with tears. This was purpose. This was life. |
