-Extra-
For lore question games and such.
1. Does your clan celebrate the passing of a year like we do?
Yes, they partake in much of the usual celebrations. However, it is often that dragons spend the whole night rather than just until midnight partying and drinking.
2. Are there any crazy mythical creatures in your lore? Or alternatively; Cryptids?
Not really. Other than the disembodied ancient spirit that threatens their everyday lives without them even knowing, only the normal FR animals are present.
3. For a long time, humans used colors like purple and gold to symbolize royalty. Is any color seen/used as royal exclusive or for important individuals?
The highly viewed dragons in my clan live just like every other dragon. As there is no class system, dragons can wear any color they like.
4. Can all dragons realistically fly in your lore? Or are some grounded due to their small wings? (Snappers/Bogsneaks)
Snappers and Bogsneaks cannot fly. However, there are a lot of options for dragons who cannot fly to travel quickly such as ships and carriages.
5. Is your clan aiding in the search for Tidepop? (I read this as tidepod at first, and I was so confused lol)
Some of the Water-aligned clan members are worried about the Tidelord, but none are actually searching for him.
6. Is your clan at all concerned about what happened to Eartdad?
They're worried but not doing anything about it.
7. Any concern for what may happen to future deities?
Other than the minor concerns of individual dragons, not really.
8. How did your clan handle the whole thing with the Obelisks?
They were very surprised when their tunneler brought back an Obelisk named Thaddeus from Dustcarve Dig. They welcomed the notion of an Obelisk entering their clan but weren't very welcoming to Thaddeus himself. They kind of just accepted that Obelisks existed now.
9. Earthdad made the Obelisks himself. Yet when we as players obtained them, they randomly had other elements after being "hatched" and were not exclusively Earth... Did anyone in your clan notice such or was it even a concern? Was it potentially explained in your lore?
All dragons were created by respective deities (other than Bogsneaks of course), yet not all dragons are aligned to the deity that originally created them. Although the Earthshaker created them, he could not control what element they would align to.
10. How'd your clan come across the first Undertide?
The fisherwoman from the beach arrived in the clan one day as an Undertide, and everyone was surprised. They accepted it in the end.
11. Actually, how does your clan feel in general to these Ancients popping up?
Many in the clan are happy to see new and interesting breeds showing up. They usually welcome them with open wings.
12. Is there any bad blood between Ancient and Modern counterparts? (Gaolers feeling contempt/resentment towards Tundras or vise-versa.)
Nope, not at all. In fact, Ancient and Modern counterparts often get along over their similarities.
13. Is the Shade a factor / relevant in your lore?
It's not important, but it's often spoken about it in passing. Sometimes, a parent will say something along the lines of "eat your veggies or I'll tell the shade to come get you."
14. We often joke about certain features on dragons, (long neck Fae, male Ridgeback nose, etc.) would your dragons joke amongst themselves about another's appearance at all?
Yes, usually as light-hearted and superficial jeers.
15. Would certain dragons be seen as more beautiful / attractive to others dependent on their genes / colors? (Like to us a tomato poison/moss eye spots/eldritch thylacine isn't seen as a pretty dragon, but in-universe / lore it'd be beautiful to plenty of dragons.)
For dragons, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and they typically focus on non-FR dictated traits such as sharp cheap bones or well-kept claws. However, they would focus on colors more than genes. Bright colors are often considered beautiful.

Nope. They usually don't know they are enemies until it's too late.
11. Does your clan have many allies? If so, how do they usually interact with each other?
The clan is pretty reclusive, so no. They used to have allies but that was before the plague.
12. Is there treaties or contracts involved in alliances or is it verbal/based off trust?
They don't have any alliances at the moment, but past alliance typically were made through verbal agreements.
13. Does your clan get along with Beastclans or are they all enemies?
They try to avoid fighting as much as possible, but their relationships are still tense.
14. Does your clan accept Beastclan members? Why or why not?
Yes, they don't usually get along with large groups of Beastclan (armies, especially), but they get along with individual creatures. They are only harmful to the clan in large groups, but the clan is usually pretty accepting, so individuals are just fine to them.
15. If yes, would they have any form of issues integrating into your clan? Would any dragons show distaste towards them?
Some dragons show distaste towards individuals, but they are accepted by the majority.
16. Is any specific race of Beastclans disliked? Or certain races seen as less than others?

In my clan, familiars are treated different based on their perceived intelligence. So I don't know how to answer this question. I imagine beastclans can talk to dragons, so yes?
18. Are there any race or animals treated as Familiars?
Any in-game familiar is treated as a familiar. I don't exactly how to answer this question.
19. Does your clan celebrate the Elemental Holidays? Why or why not?
Yes, but their celebrations aren't that big.
20. IF yes, what do these festivities entail? Is it always monthly? Can anyone participate?
The festivities are pretty minor (just some decorations and good old-fashioned drinking), but yes, anyone can participate. It is monthly.
21. Is any specific element more respected than others, or one more hated than others? If so, why?
It's a Light clan. Light is not viewed higher than other elements, but it's appreciated more. Individuals are allowed to have their own views no matter what.
22. IS any race of dragon more respected or more hated than others? If so, why?
No.
23. Can all forms of elemental magic heal?
Yes but also no because magic isn't used for healing in my clan. It may heal, but it probably makes the formerly-wounded area weaker and more susceptible to being wounded again. Good-old fashioned healing is heavily preferred. However, if it's an emergency, any element can heal.
24. Is all magic absolutely elemental (strictly to the in-game lore magics) or are there general forms of magic any dragon can use? If so, how do they work?
Elemental magic is just one type of magic. There innumerable types of magic, which work in all different ways.
25. Is any certain magic more powerful than others?
No, it depends on how good you are at it.
26. Are there such thing as enchantments or curses? How would they work?
Yes, enchantment is not popular with beginners, but it is a common type of magic. Curses are much harder and require lots of skill and practice. Just saying what you want to happen won't work as well as it does for enchantments (unless you're a master).
27. Are tomes important to magic users? Why or why not?
Some magic-users rely on tomes, but I imagine they are looked down upon by other magic-users.
Real magic-users don't need tomes.
28. Are certain things or places able to amplify ones magical abilities?
There are a few objects and places that enhance magical abilities, but a skilled magic-user can use magic anywhere and with anything.
29. Do dragon have to be in certain conditions to be able to perform their magic? (Ex. An Ice or Nature dragon would not be able to perform their abilities in the Ashfall Wastes.)
Other than being in a good condition emotionally and physically, nope.
30. Can a dragons magic become naturally more powerful over time or would they need any form of training to help them become more powerful?
They would typically need training or, at least, have access to lots of books. Some are self-taught, but it's very rare to find someone who is self-taught.
31. In-game lore says only water can be seers, but can any dragon be able to do the same regardless of element? How do they receive future prophecies without the influence of a Deity?
Yes, and they don't need a deity to have visions and receive prophecies. It kind of just happens.
32. Does your clan have any dragons dedicated to researching and studying magic?
Yup. You'll find him
here.
33. What about a court magister or someone who is very knowledgeable in magic/arcane that gives advice or helps with magic/arcane matters?
No, but that's a good idea.
34. Can dragons use magic to shape or create things?
Yes.
Ashma can shape rocks.
Dunlow can sometimes pull inanimate objects out of thin air, but they aren't always what he was hoping for.
35. Can ones magic influence or read someones mind?
Yes, but that kind of magic is strictly forbidden.
36. Do your dragons use magic to attack others in combat? Can any element engage in magic combat?
Theoretically, yes, but I don't have a magic-using warrior yet. Any element can fight with magic.
37. Do your dragons worship the deities?
Not really. They use the deities' names in vain more than anything. Dragons often thank them for good things that happen. It's more like appreciation and admiration than worship.
38. Do dragons worship only their deity of their element, or would they worship another deity, if at all?
They appreciate the deity of their element most often, but if they have integrated enough into a clan, they will also appreciate the clan's elemental deity.
39. Are there dragons that don't believe in the deities or hate them? If so, why?
It's uncommon but not impossible to see a deitiy flying overhead, so there's very few who doesn't believe in them. The dragons that don't believe in them are a lot like the people who believe politicians are lizard people. There are certainly a few dragons who hate them. There are many more who dislike or have complicated relationships with the deities.
40. Are there dragons dedicated to convincing others to serve their deities?
There are a few in the world (not my clan), but my dragons tend to ignore them.
41. What is exalting to your clan/dragons exactly? Is it noble? Foolish?
It is neither noble nor foolish. It's just a choice that they make, and others have to respect it. It's only considered foolish if the dragon didn't put much thought into it beforehand.
42. How does one go about exalting another? Is it a ritual? A process? Does one decide for themself and leave? Does another help?
Exalting is usually a choice, but there are dragons who try to force others to exalt themselves. These dragons are not tolerated and often feared. When exalting oneself, a dragon will just decide for themself and leave. There isn't a ritual, but there are many heart-felt goodbyes.
43. Where would one go to be exalted?
Either the deities' lair or an outpost. They usually have to fill out some paperwork before they are set to join the ranks.
44. IS it considered blasphemous or crazy to not worship ones elemental deity?
Neither. Dragons usually don't care.
45. Do the worship of the deities play a big role in your clan?
No. They don't worship them.
46. Do any of your clan members hate the Tidelord or are scared because he vanished? Are any helping to search?
They don't hate the Tidelord. Certain water dragons are worried about him, but they aren't actively searching.
47. Do dragons that come back from exalting seen as higher or lesser for leaving/being kicked out?
No.
48. Does your clan or any dragon do any form of sacrificial ritual for their deity? Or offer any items?
No, not at all. The deities are fine without sacrifices.
49. Are any breed stronger than another in any way? Or are all breeds equal?
An Imperial could literally just sit on someone and win in a fight, so yeah, certain breeds are stronger than others.
50. Can breeds of their "origin element" use their magic better? (Ex. A spiral dragon using wind magic better because the breed originated from Wind more than say a guardian dragon using wind magic)
No. It depends on practice and training.
51. Are your dragon sizes more to that of in-game canon (Fae is the smallest, Imperial the biggest, etc.) or are they closer together?
Imperials are bigger than Faes but not by as much as they are in the game. I would use the in-game sizes, but then I remember my
leader (a fae) and her
mate (a guardian). It just wouldn't work out if they were that different in size.
52. Are all dragons similarly expressive or do they all uniquely show their emotions?
Faes don't show as much emotion as others, but most dragons express similarly.
53. Are your dragons able to fly? Or is wholly determined by their wing sizes?
Snappers and Ridgebacks can't fly, but everyone else can.
54. Do Ancients and Moderns get along with each other?
Yes!
55. Can your Ancient and Modern dragons breed with each other despite in-game lore?
No. Their genetics are just too far removed.
56. Do Ancients and Moderns socialize regularly or do they both have their separate areas within the clan?
They are equals and socialize with each other regularly. There is even an
Ancient/
Modern couple.
57. How did you clan react to finding Ancients?
They celebrated and welcomed them with open wings.
58. Do Ancients have a vastly different culture than those of Moderns?
No.
59. What about the Obelisks?
They accept Obelisks, but the first
Obelisk to enter the clan was uniquely strange. Only stone-born Obelisks are very different from other dragons, and my stone-born has learned how to get along with my clan despite his differences.
60. Are there any ceremonies that might be breed specific?
No, not really.
61. Do dragons mate for life or no?
They are kind of like humans. Some mate for life, but relationships fall apart all of the time.
62. Do dragons look down on others for not having a lineage? (G1 dragons)
No, not really.
63. Do you have any disabled dragons? IF so how do they receive assistance for such? Are they considered less?
Yes. I have a
blind dragon and a
dragon with a speech impediment. The former is helped by a designated caretaker, and the latter is helped by her friends and family although she needs help less and less. They are not considered less.
64. Are your dragons in your lore, anthro, human, or just simply dragon?
Just dragon.
65. Are your dragons more human like in terms of intelligence or are they more feral/animal like?
More humanlike. They hunt and gather like primative humans but have technology like modern humans (not computers or anything -- more Victorian).
66. How technologically advanced is your clan? Do they use magic to fuel technology? or just simply magic for all necessary things?
Technology is up to the late Victorian era through the Edwardian era. Magic is only used to fuel technology in rare cases. Magic and technology usually stay in separate worlds.
67. Does your clan grow/farm food? OR do they hunt for it all?
They hunt or gather all of it.
68. What does your clan do with abandoned eggs?
They raise them, of course.
69. Does your clan have ambassadors/representatives? What do they do?
Yes, they have
one. She represents Prism Clan to other clans and loners. However, diplomatic decisions are often made by the leader or her advisor. The ambassador just delivers those decisions.
70. Do your dragons hold marriage ceremonies of sorts if they were to mate?
No
71. Is architect important in your clan? Do they live where infrastructure is important or no?
No. They live in a cave system, but magic holds it together not infrastructure.
72. Are there any forms of teachers to help with literacy/fighting/magic/history/etc?
Only if you specialize in a certain field. The parents or nursery caretakers are expected to teach the basics. I do plan on getting a hatchling teacher eventually, however.
73. Besides forms of leader is there any jobs considered to be more valuable/ important than others?
Hunters, healers, and scholars are pretty valuable.
74. Does your clan have a library?
Yes. It is one of the clan's best attributes and popular tourist destination. There is knowledge in that library that can't be found anywhere else in the world.
75. What about cooks or any form of servants?
There is one
chef, but it's more of a hobby. Dragons usually do things on their own.
76. Do you have a prison? How is it run? What would someone have to do to be imprisoned?
There isn't a prison, but there is this place called the Abyss, which dragons are sometimes sent to. They are exiled/banished there rather than imprisoned. The Abyss sounds scary, but it's actually not that bad. Sure, it's always dark, but everyone is really nice.
77. Would your dragons have a trial for the offending person? How strict are the laws if your clan has any?
The clan is pretty peaceful. The laws aren't that strict, and the offender is usually left with a slap on the wrist if they can be stopped without resisting. If they don't stop, there is a trial. Usually, the dragon is remorseful and will just have to make up to their victim. However, if they are considered too dangerous to the victim or others, they will be sent to the Abyss.
78. What is the most serious punishment and the lightest punishment for a crime?
The most serious punishment is eternity in the Abyss. If they don't follow those orders and come back to the clan, then they are executed privately. Sometimes, an individual (la close friend or a parent) can intervene and promise to make sure that they never come back by joining them in banishment. The clan leaders are very reluctant about execution, so these types of interventions are welcomed.
The lightest punishment is basically a clan leader, saying "hey, you can't do that". It works more than you think.
79. Do Beastclans believe in any form of deity or God of their own? Do they try to convert dragons?
No.
80. Are there any planets that your dragons, or others, have found?
Nope. The
clan astronomer is more focused on studying the stars.
81. Are your dragons developing a way to go into space?
They've thought about it, but they don't think it's possible.
82. Sorneith canonically has 2 moons. What would they be named if your clan had to name them?
I looked up Goddess names, and 2 cool names for the moons are Astraea and Calypso. But to be honest, my clan would just call them moon 1 and moon 2.
83. Is the Shade feared in your clan? Anyone "Shade-Touched"?
The Shade is feared not terribly so. No one is Shade-touched, but it might be a good idea for the future.
84. IS there anyone that worships the Shade? Are they open about it?
There is no one in the clan who worships the Shade, but there are probably some outside of the clan who do.
85. Does your clan believe in such a being?
Yeah, I don't see why not.
86. IS there a certain dress code or expectation of style in your clan? Any developed styles over time?
No. A lot of dragons came from outside of the clan, so the clan is very diverse in a lot of things including fashion sense.
87. What about food? Any food that is considered your clans cultural food?
No, same as above.
88. What of slang? Or sayings? What about swears? Do certain dragons/ dragons of elements have certain sayings/swears? (Think when the Light Sprite yells "Baku Snout!" in G&G out of frustration)
Other than using the Lightweaver's name in vain, not really.
89. Are fictional books in your lore similar to books in our real life? What about comics and toys?
There are defineltly fictional books, comics, and toys similar to ones in real life. I can't name any in particular, but they exist.
90. If a dragon was to say try to invent something we have in our modern lives, like a TV or a car, How would other dragons react?
Some pieces of technology are useless to dragons. For example, they don't need a car. They can fly or travel by boat. However, they would appreciate a tv or a cell phone as much as they do other technological advances.
91. Do dragons have certain things we do? Like desks for writing, full beds, shelves, etc. Or would they be very different to compensate for their style of living/being dragons? (Like instead of beds, they'd have nests)
Their beds are more like a giant cushion on the ground, and their chairs are also cusions. Otherwise, everything is much the same.
92. Do other forms of dimensions exist?
Yes, but more like different layers of reality or place outside of reality. The territory they live on exists on different layers. In fact, they don't even live on the layer that most others see. They live below it.
93. Does any form of heaven or limbo exist in your lore? Or any form of afterlife?
If their death was very tragic or brutal or if they have unfinished business, they will come back as ghosts. Those ghosts eventually fade into nothingness, so there is no afterlife. Or at least, that's what they believe.
94. Dos spirits exist? Can they possess or move things around?
See above.
95. Do dragons hunt for the paranormal if they do exist?
They don't hunt for them perse. They try to communicate with them and sometimes drive them, but they don't actively search for them.
96. Are there any folktales or legends that exist within your clan? Any Mythical creatures?
Nope.
97. What about songs that would be commonly sung among your dragons?
I imagine there are a few that the dragons from before the plague sing to remember the clan's origins. Now that the clan is so diverse, songs from all around Sornieth are commonly sung by them.
98. Are hatchlings assigned a job when they're young or can be anything they please once they're of a certain age?
They choose a job when they become an adult, and they can change that job if they want. They can also just be a freeloader, but that's not usually appreciated.
99. Do some dragons sometimes eat outside their food groups? Like a Tundra eating meat/fish?
They always eat within their food groups.
100. What does your clan do with gene scrolls/breed changes? Are they even a thing? Magic? Can they willingly change their breed at any time using one? Would they still carry characteristics of their old breed after they change? IS it instant? Gradual? Same with genes? Or do the patterns mix for a bit before changing to the new?
They read the breed scrolls willingly to instantly transform. After a week or two, they start acting much more like the breed they turned into. Gene scrolls are also instant. For whatever reason, the scroll becomes useless after they use it. They can also transform without the scroll if they really, truly desire it. However, it's very rare, and that type of transformation is not yet understood by scholars or magic-users.

If worst comes to worst, who in your clan is gonna take control?[/b]
Definitely Juno. She's taken charge in the past when the clan was first recovering from the plague which nearly destroyed them, and she wouldn't hesitate to take control again.
Which of your dragons is most likely to eat a crayon and enjoy it?
Probably Tree (left head). He would gobble up that crayon and audibly go "nom, nom, nom" while his brother, Branch, (right head) looks on in disgust.
Do any of your dragons share an IRL phobia with you?
Ok, Nero and I are both afraid of ghosts, but in much different ways. I'm scared in the "what goes bump in the night" kinda way, and Nero is scared in that he can actually see ghosts, and they freak him out. Always wailing about their gruesome demise, and lying prostrate before him and begging for mercy. It's a hard life being a medium.

What one of your dragons would be the first to strike in the coliseum? And what kind of fighting style would they have?
Well, Scarlet
is usually the first to strike on my coli team. She would rely primarily on brute strength and a little bit of fire.
If someone were to one-up your dragon in the skill they value the most, what would they do?
I'll use Scarlet above for this because she has some interesting lore related to this question. If Scarlet were to be one-uped (or at least tied) at her fighting skills, she would be very impressed with this dragon (and, possibly, fall in love with them and raise a family with them.)
If there were social media platforms in Sornieth, which one of your dragons would be the first to go viral?
It was a hard choice, but I could definitely see Kafea excelling from her baking and coffee brewing content. Her dragontube channel would also consist of vlogs. Her mate,
Sol, would be a popular reoccurring "character" on these vlogs.

1. How long does it take for your dragons to fly from the middle of one elemental territory to the border of a neighboring one?
I haven't really thought of it before, but looking at the other posts, I disagree with what the other people are saying. I can't imagine it taking longer than a few days. If the dragon's flying, which most of them do, I can imagine them catching a jet stream and going at a good 40-60 miles per hour. If a territory were the size of the United States, it wouldn't take weeks in a car. Sure, maybe a road trip with several stops but not flying with only occasional breaks and rest. Clans are never more than a few hundred members, so they don't have to take up a lot of space on the map, so more can fit in a smaller area.
2. Are the territory borders in your lore an abrupt shift of element, or a gradual mix? (Eg. A straight line between two territories, or instead a mixed area between the two.)
Going with the world map, I would say a gradual shift.
3. Do the dragons in your lore travel often between elemental territories?
Depends on the dragon. Some of my dragons have to like merchants or one cartographer, but most of them tend to stay put in and around the clan. I mostly gather from my flight element anyway, so there wouldn't be any travel for that.
Also, I imagine my dragons only visit the trading post when it's in the Sunbeam Ruins.
4. Is there a form of magic that can speed up the travel?
No, but the local academy has utilized a Lightning-invented high-tech teleportation device to help commuters come back and forth.
5. Put your extra related headcanons or opinions here!
I agree with the Sornieth super continent thing, though a second landmass would be an epic reveal!
