Ailyth

Regulus and Ailyth had not been born royal, not in the slightest, but they sensed their fate from a young age.

Ailyth understood fate like no other dragon. She understood its strength yet she also knew its fluidity. The path best followed wasn't always the predetermined one. In her youth, she saw flashes of the future and began studying and harnessing her power as a seer. Far away, her future partner was doing the same.

The visions are what drew them together, and they incidentally fell in love.

They thought their journey was over and that their fate was to live the rest of their days in Sornieth. However, soon, the darkness began to call, and Regulus and Ailyth called right back.

An ancient relic of a time before stood waiting through a portal underground, a world of darkness and emptiness, the only life kept deep in a ravine. They traveled to the depths of this world, into the ravine, and found a preserved castle.

In the throne room, a dust-covered journal, they found a single paragraph written at the top of the first page.

"The dragon that wrote this is far gone. However, the legacy of the Abyss will live on. They have forced my siblings back into the light for our beliefs. I can only hope that they were kept alive... My last contribution will be to preserve this land from the dragons who wish to destroy it or take from it without consideration. The Abyss provides to all fairly and equally. I will see to that. The dragons that are reading this, please watch over this land. Please sit on the throne and declare yourself its leaders. The Abyss needs you, Regulus and Ailyth."
