Her personality is similar to Entrapta's from She-ra.

Some years ago, Kimika was in her workshop, busy as she often was, putting together little mechanical wonders. In those times, her inventions were small toys and trinkets rather than the large-scale machines she makes now.

She was busy and not paying attention when a loose stalactite from the roof of her den fell down and bashed through her chest. Luckily, its momentum was slowed by the thick leather vest she wore. However, it significantly damaged her heart and lungs. She should have died that day, but she didn't; a miracle occurred.

Suddenly, her machines, not designed to move independently, whirred to life and crawled toward the dying body of their creator. Kimika was quickly swarmed by them as they removed the stalactite from her body and replaced what she had lost. They made work of her heart and lungs, allowing her to breathe and get blood properly again. She woke up a little while later.

Since then, she's retired the kind creations that kept her alive in favor of a high-tech system of circuits and wire. The trinkets now sit on her shelf where she can admire them every day.
