Biography

Borgite hatched just before the plague holiday being the middle child having Tadaborgite for older brother and Lokakuu for younger. They were the only hatchlings in the hatchery and because of that they grew to be very close. After leaving their caretaker Kaamos behind the brothers stayed together trying to figure out what each of them wanted to do in their lives.

Borgite had always felt stronger connection to his big brother due to their visual similarities and Lokakuu had always been a bit of an odd ball. The youngest one of them soon started to hand out in the library while the two older ones hanged out among older residents trying to see if they could find interesting work in there. One night the two brothers were checking out a small event celebrating the plague holiday while Lokakuu had escaped to the library. Siren was singing for the small group present and Borgite asked Tadaborgite if one should come a singer. It sounded like a pointless job and at least Borgite had no singing skills but Tadaborgite seemed like a type of dragon who would try that. Tadaborgite didn’t answer and seemed to have frozen in place he blinking a lot. That seemed unnatural and Borgite took his brother and started to carry him towards healing offices.

When they had gotten far enough to not hear Siren’s singing anymore Tadaborgite seemed to gain control again and asked to be put back down. Borgite was not going to look past what just happened and said he would drag the other obelisk to the healer wanted he or not Tadaborgite saying he had seen something. Borgite kept walking towards the offices asking what he had seen Tadaborgite listing events he had seen, Siren’s encounter with talonoks, Malvadust, the healer, meeting with Fen, the ecologist, the architects designing the temple and their dad Pascal waking up in the underground cavern.

Borgite was tired from carrying his brother on his back all the way to the temple but he managed to say how all of those sounded like past events and asked if Tadaborgite thought seeing them related to his eyes. Tadaborgite was the most special out of the three bothers he having hatched with multiple eyes. They had not moved or seen anything and they didn’t feel anything, touching them was like touching glass. No one though had believed them to do nothing but they had not been able to figure out what they did. If the fast hypothesis was correct, they could be able to see at least to the past.

Malvadust checked Tadaborgite who seemed to be just fine. The brothers mentioned what they had talked about while making their way to him and the old tundra suggested they looked more into that. He especially suggested to figure out if it was music or singing that triggered the possibly vision. Borgite saw no difference between the two but Tadaborgite seemed to do so. He asked if Siren would help them with their “research” Malvadust being sure she would. If they didn’t want to bother her now they could also seek his brother and his boyfriend, who, as far as he knew, were not performing at the moment. They were both decent singers and one of them played lute. Tadaborgite was excited to try figure out how his special gift worked and went to look for the performing duo Borgite running after him.

The brother found Purukumi and Vaapukka with a help from Azul and the couple was willing to help the two young ones despite being a bit tired of having just arrived from the plague domain. Borgite was a bit of an outsider in the situation and just guarded the door, just in case. He listened as the others tried things out hearing that it was music that triggered the visions. After that was made clear the brothers left the couple be and the two stepped back out Tadaborgite feeling excited while Borgite was feeling more nervous and left behind.

The brothers made their way to their nest in where Lokakuu was already waiting. Tadaborgite told what they had figured out. Lokakuu was excited about the find as well and he told what he had learned about seer gifts after having read too many books. Borgite went to sleep but kept his ears open as his brothers talked. Lokakuu was fast to come up with ideas of how to use the gift to see what someone had experienced in the past. Lokakuu saw that as an opportunity to help someone unwilling to open about trauma or something while Borgite saw it as threat. It could be used to spy on someone and gain personal information about them. The other two were too excited to take Borgite’s warning seriously and he put it behind his ear in order to mention it at the evening.

Lokakuu had already left when Tadaborgite woke Borgite up. The youngest had suggested him to pick up an instrument so he could control his gift better Borgite taking the opportunity to warn him about what he had figured out early in the morning. Tadaborgite seemed sad to see his brother didn’t share his excitement and said he would not use his gift for bad. Borgite knew Tadaborgite would not but he was a bit gullible and definitely too trusting. He had told everything they had done in the hatchery to everyone they encountered after leaving and though that was not that bad, just a bit embarrassing, Borgite was worried he would be too open with his visions, or even worse, help someone get information they didn’t need. Tadaborgite asked Borgite to not be so paranoid and knowing Tadaborgite would not listen he ended the conversation. Maybe Lokakuu understood his concerns and they could bring them up again in the morning.

Brothers rushed to the Hoard before its diurnal manager Megan would go to sleep. There were few instruments in the Hoard, found relics of fallen minstrels, and Tadaborgite spent a lot of time trying them out. Eventually he decided to pick a harp and the brothers left before the fae kicked them out for forcing her to stay up longer than usual. Siren was performing with Purukumi and Vaapukka that night and the brothers went to the wood to practice playing the instrument. Borgite kept an eye on the wood while Tadaborgite tried to figure out how to use his new toy. His struggles attracted the rangers starting their work Tahna asking them to be careful as the wood was full of all kinds of dangerous creatures while also telling Tadaborgite to keep practicing. Borgite promised to keep them both safe and watched as the rangers vanished into the wood.

During the following weeks Tadaborgite practiced tirelessly Borgite keeping him safe as he did. He had mentioned about his worries to Lokakuu and they had talked about them with the oldest of them but that had gone nowhere. As weeks flew by and Tadaborgite started to improve a bit he started to wonder if he should start working as seer while Lokakuu had become interested in trying healing. Borgite was the only one of the three who had no idea of what to do with his life. He spent a lot of time looking after his big brother but that wasn’t what he wanted to do for living. Borgite was feeling a bit outsider among his brothers but their young siblings told to not worry about not having any idea yet. None of them had either.

During Night of the Nocturne Borgite decided to try something and joined the rangers as they were making sure the mimics posed no threat to the clan. Hunting down the little troubles was decent fun, Tahna asking if he had built up anger he was letting out, and Borgite decided to keep ranger job as possible route for his life. Soon after the mimics vanished for a year Borgite slept poorly seeing weird dream about being a wolf that was him and after waking up he saw the wolf in their nest, actually, there were two of them. Tadaborgite had also woken up and he woke Lokakuu up while Borgite decided to follow the two escaping wolves. Their nest was deep underground, wolves didn’t just walk in.

Borgite followed the wolves to the wood where he eventually lost them due to his big size. After finding the way past the closely growing trees Borgite tried to find where the two wolves had run when he heard a scream somewhat far. It sounded like Lenny, his little brother, and Borgite decided to forget the wolves and go check what was wrong with Lenny. He found the wildclaw about the same time as Julius. The mirror asked what had happened Lenny lying on the ground after something had clearly attacked him. The mirror gave his cape to cover the wounds and Borgite took Lenny to get him to the healer while the wildclaw explained he had been following a peacock talonok when something had attacked him. He was not sure what it had been.

Borgite got Lenny to healing offices where Lokakuu, having started healer training, and Malvadust started to treat him. Borgite didn’t want to bother them and left Tadaborgite asking if he had managed to catch the wolves. Apparently he had had similar dream to what Borgite had had. Borgite had not and after the two brothers tried to figure out what had been the deal with the wolves Tadaborgite decided to try his gift to see if it revealed anything. The two made their way to the wood where Tadaborgite used his gift to glance to the past. He saw small spirit use a too big sword and it caused it to turn into a spiral for a moment. It sounded similar to what the brothers had experienced late morning, they had turned to wolves, but they had that ability naturally, when in statue form at least, and they had just assumed it was their gift acting out.

The brothers tried to figure out where the wolves had come from the wood having no natural wolves, and even if there were those it didn’t make sense why they would have come to their nest so deep underground. As they talked the rangers brought something from the wood, something neither brother wanted to see. The rangers dragged Dio, their older brother, with them his body having been burnt. Dio had not been close with any of his siblings, actually, he was a bit of a jerk, but he was still their brother and Borgite was worried of what had attacked two of his brothers in such a short time period.

Borgite wanted to know who had attacked Lenny and who had killed Dio. He wanted to go to the wood and track what had done the acts when even worse news reached his ears. Lokakuu and their younger sister Zera had gone to look for herbs when they had been attacked by Akakabuto, well-known beast living in the wood. Zera had been severely wounded, Lokakuu had died. That was last straw for Borgite. He went to pick up some weapons and went to hunt for the corrupt gaoler. He was sure it had attacked Lenny and killed Dio too.

Borgite tracked the beast the best he could but all he could find was Tahna also tracking down the beast. The older wildclaw sensed Borgite’s rage and asked him to return to the lair. He was threat to himself with rage as motivator but Borgite was not going to do that, not after what the beast had done. Tahna swore he understood but pointed out that Akakabuto might not have been the one behind Dio’s death. Akakabuto seemed to be fire element but Tahna had never seen it burn anything, and the damage was very different to what it had done to Zera and Lokakuu. Borgite was going to oppose the more experienced dragon but he pointed out that with the experience he had, or rather had not, he would just get himself killed. The remaining siblings wouldn't want that after what they had already lost, and same came to their father as well. Borgite understood and returned to the lair.

After the incident Borgite and Tadaborgite started to grow distant. Borgite had promised himself he would one night kill the one who had taken his siblings, or both of them. Tadaborgite could not understand his younger sibling who in turn could not understand how he was able to be so careless. The two did talk when Borgite happened to be in the lair but that often ended up as them arguing over how Tadaborgite was too trusting and careless for Borgite’s liking. They still shared the nest but Borgite didn’t sleep there much he having started to do some monster hunting outside the lair in known monster lairs. He hoped he one night had enough experience to take down the beast that had hurt him personally.

Borgite’s hunt for Akakabuto wasn’t going particularly well. Every time he had managed to fell a significant beast he had tried to kill the one eyed one but every time he either didn’t find it or it managed to ambush him and he had to retreat. It was frustrating, especially when no one was supporting him with his goals, but he kept on going. He had promised himself he was going to kill the wicked gaoler and he was going to fill that promise.

Later during autumn Borgite participated the Warrior’s Way event with Marjatta, his older sister, and Rubikin in order to get some more experience. He did not spend that much time with his companions outside the trips there and back but if he happened to be free he went to see their battles and practices. While watching Marjatta prepare for her next battle Borgite happened to see her using a summon, something he had not expected her to have. He also had no idea when she had gotten one and asking yielded no answers, if anything Marjatta was annoyed by that. Where Borgite was a monster hunter Marjatta was a mercenary and it was possible she had bought the summon for herself with the money she had gotten. She just didn’t feel like a dragon who would get herself a summon.

Borgite didn’t particularly like Marjatta and he wanted to know where she had gotten the summon. At first he assumed she had stolen it from one of her victims but the more he thought about the summon the more it felt like being related to Dio, Marjatta’s littermate. The summon looked nothing like Dio being more of a boar than a dragon but the sickening look it had reminded Borgite of Dio’s a bit toxic attitude and the colors matched to some extent. Also, Borgite was sure Marjatta had gotten the summon after Dio’s mysterious death, at least he assumed she had. He had a feeling Marjatta was using her brother’s soul as her summon, it felt like something she would do. Tadaborgite could use his gift to check how right Borgite was with his assumptions but knowing the seer he would just say Borgite was just being paranoid. He though was sure he was on the right tracks and promised himself to keep his eyes on the mercenary.

Borgite had spent the earth holiday hunting monster and after having managed to hunt down and kill a tunnel hydra he had returned home to rest a little bit. He was planning to go hunt for Akakabuto again but then the leaders decided to close off the clan due to an outside threat and Borgite decided to stay in lair to protect it. He did not know what threatened the lair but whatever it was he was ready to face it. While Borgite was in his nest cleaning his weapons Tadaborgite came to have a chat with him. He had seen vision of Dio’s death, he and Marjatta had driven away a foreign wyvern which had killed Dio before being eliminated. There had also been other dragons present but they didn’t matter that much.

Marjatta having been present when Dio had died was the proof Borgite had wanted to hear and he decided to confront his sister about his suspicions. He rushed out of the nest and to the training area where Marjatta was spending her time. Borgite demanded to know from where she had gotten her summon and when the older obelisk played dumb he repeated his question. He had heard she had been there when Dio had died, and he was sure her summon was actually her brother’s soul. Marjatta admitted the boar was in fact Dio and asked why Borgite cared about that; he didn’t like the dead obelisk either. That was true but Borgite could not allow his relative to be used as a tool, especially to hurt others like the mercenary did. Marjatta asked what Borgite was thinking to do for her summon as there was not much he could do. Borgite was about to hit the bigger obelisk but then Alfa came to stop them with Obsidius. Borgite turned around and decided to go to the wood to calm down.

The trip to the wood had not gone well for Borgite. He had been unarmed and heated up and he had happened to encounter Demoni. The encounter had ended up with Borgite getting hurt and he had to spend few nights in the healing offices. He recovered in time for a trial against a bounty hunter that had managed to sneak in, and the following afternoon one residents went missing. Tadaborgite might have mentioned them when he told about Dio’s death but Borgite had not listened well enough to remember, nor did he care that much. There was something else that interested him more; the rumors that Marjatta had bounty on her head and that was why the bounty hunters had been trying to enter the lair since the leaders had increased defense.

Borgite did not know what exactly Marjatta had done but it did not matter to him. Whatever it had been she was responsible for leading the bounty hunters to the lair and causing stress to the resident, and first and foremost, exhaustion to the border guards. He did not like that and he planned to make it clear for his older siblings. He found her at the training area, like expected, and asked if she was proud of what she had done. Marjatta had, again, played dumb and Borgite had to point out to her that she had caused the current situation in the clan. Marjatta defended herself by saying she was no prophet but Borgite thought she should have enough foresight to not do stupid mistakes like this. He hoped the bounty hunters got her, for what she had caused for the clan and for what she had done to Dio. The residents were stressed out, the border guards were growing tired and his brother was not resting in peace, and it was all Marjatta’s fault. Marjatta hit Borgite as she couldn't defend herself with words and Borgite was about to hit back when Tinker arrived and she demanded the obelisks to leave. Borgite turned around and went to check the lair borders.

Almost two weeks after that one resident went missing the guilty was found that being one of clan’s residents. Naru had captured Finlande because her sword could break walls between realities and she wanted to use that power. During that conference Tadaborgite whispered Borgite that the sword he had seen being used by the spirit after that weird wolf incident was Finlande’s and the thing that had killed Dio had come from another dimension. Borgite had a thought of asking the sword bearer to let him go to the another world to avenge his brother but that idea died out fast. Not only was it a stupid idea it wasn’t even possible; Naru ran away and she took Finlande with her and the residents could not track them down.

Following the conference during which clan’s guardians had demanded Naru’s exile, Finlande’s kidnapper and power had been revealed and the kidnapper had escaped the situation in the clan started to calm down. That was thanks to Marjatta who realized she should no longer be in the lair and she moved to live with Sisi who was a criminal like her. Borgite was happy when his older sister left the lair taking her problems with her, and soon after that the bounty hunters turned their attention elsewhere as their target no longer was in the lair. With the situation calming down Borgite decided to go hunt some more monsters. The encounter with Demoni proved he needed to improve more before he could bring down his big target.

Traits

Borgite is an arcane obelisk with tan, light brown and navy blue striped body, red and navy blue hairs and red and navy blue striped wings. Around his body he has light brown and light grey patches that glimmer when light hits them from right angle. His right leg and hand are light brown and grey while his left leg and hand are dark bluish grey in color. Borgite has large mane and horns and he is overall quite burly while still looking able to move fast and agile. His eyes are light in color.

Borgite hunts monsters and he carries some of his catches as trophy clothes and as imitation method. He has a black pelt wrapped around his neck and similar pelt wrapped around his waist it being decorated with some teeth. Under the waist pelt he has wrapped the ragged rags of one of his targets they being black in color and on his head he wears an impressive black maned face fur of a long fanged beast he having painted the face white with red and black markings. He has bluish grey guards protecting his legs and arms they both having metallic claw protectors as well. He has pierced his right ear with two golden rings and he wears a black cavalier hat with red feather because it looks cool. As his tools Borgite has a spear, axe and a mace he carrying them under his right wing. On his side he has a dark and wooden shield and on his tail he has a bag full of poisons, potions and antidotes as well as an emergency spike in case he is back against a wall but no weapons available.

Borgite has sure and somewhat cold voice. He is generally polite but isn't afraid to speak his mind or raise his voice if need to be, and if he gets mad his politeness is nowhere to be seen. He has an old, hard to specify accent.

Small pile of pink petals.

Borgite is confident and unyielding dragon without massive goals. He has strong will to protect others, especially his family, and he is rather proactive than reactive. He fears very few things, mainly just losing his brother, and fearlessly engages in battle no matter what is against him. He won't back down until his opponent is eliminated or he himself is eliminated. However, he is not careless and attempts to analyze the situation before acting not wanting to engage in sure-to-lose battle. He is self-aware enough to know his limitations and he not really liking challenges he rather avoids situations where the enemy would have clear upper hand. Someone needing protection though is exception to that.

Borgite isn't really a social dragon and actually he doesn't really trust others no matter what they are. To him everyone is capable to stab him back at any moment be that literally or metaphorically and because of that he avoids interacting with others. He doesn't like to talk about what he has been doing, how he has been doing or what he will be doing and he doesn't like to spend more than necessary time in groups. His brother is the closest dragon to him and though Borgite cares deeply for him he is increasingly frustrated with his naivety. They tend to argue often and knowing how common that is Borgite always approaches his brother when outside of the lair so they don't get spectators. Every other dragon Borgite avoids he finding their familiarity annoying and kind of threatening.

Borgite has a partner pronghorn stomper he calls Gigerto. The two aren't really close they being together simply because of work partnership. Gigerto has badly sprained leg making getting food hard for it. It helps Borgite with tracking down and killing his targets after which Borgite lets it eat the pray. Beyond that the two don't interact. Gigerto follows its dragon partner because it doesn't understand or speak Dragonian making planning meetings near impossible to the two.

Small pile of pink petals.

Borgite isn't much of a mage. He can levitate items and pull his tools to him if needed but not much beyond that. He is more of physical dragon and what he lacks in magic he makes up with strength. He isn't much of a brawler though he is able to do that if needed. Instead he rather uses his weapons which he may strengthen with poison if needed. He isn't an elegant weapon user he just hitting stuff with the weapon very hard but he is skilled with using both weapon and shield which is something very few in the clan can do. Where most fighters in the clan are pure attack Borgite is mix of a defender and attacker and he is generally good with fighting durable foes partly because of that.

As an obelisk Borgite can turn to stone and his statue form is made out of grayish brown sandstone. When just being a statue his state doesn't differ from sleep beyond that he doesn't dream or use energy. However, thanks to a magical mutation he and his brothers experienced before hatching he can separate his soul from his body while in statue form. The soul takes a form of a black wolf and while the soul is out Borgite can't wake up from his statue state. While being out as spirit wolf Borgite looks like a regular wolf having a faux body that can be hurt. He can think like as a dragon but he can't speak, only bark, though he can communicate with his brothers with no problem if they too are in their spirit wolf form. There is no limit in how long Borgite's spirit can be in wolf form but being out for too long may prevent him from returning to his dragon body.
