His vibrant features stand out amongst the pure white snow, and the only sign of life that he possesses is the rise and fall of his chest as he stares off into the distance. He sighs deeply, and his wing twitches and he turns his head upon sensing the presence of an [color=#6fc0da][u][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/69696969][color=#c9629c]imperial[/color][/url][/u][/color]. Like his, this imperial's colors are futile camouflage against the snow, but beyond that is the strange sensation that this imperial exudes.
There is a moment of silence between the two in which no words are exchanged. It almost seems as though the imperial is busy collecting his thoughts, and as he opens his maw to speak, the ridgeback stands from his spot and turns to face the imperial.
"I see you seek the sound of my voice?" he says with a grin, tilting his head tauntingly. "You never fail to find me, even when I neglect to mention where it is I'm going."
The imperial scoffs a short laugh, before he sits before the ridgeback, and smiles softly.
"The winds howl the loudest where you go," the imperial says. "They know of the stories you carry, and seek to carry them for you," he smiled. "Your presence is one I find comforting, and [color=#6fc0da][u][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/79219][color=#c9629c]Ahrengii[/color][/url][/u][/color] is... Well, he can be a bit high-strung. Out of all the otherworldly presences in Istaeoria, yours is the most soothing."
The ridgeback exhales deeply at the mention of the plethora of strange and unSorniethian beings found in the clan, one of which this imperial before him happens to be, as well.
"So, is it the winds you seek to hear?" the ridgeback named Moyolehuani inquires.
"Can you tell me about the circumstances of my birth... Once more?" the imperial asks. "I-I know I have asked you many-a-time, but no matter how many times I hear it I..." the dragon looks down at his open claw. Within it, glowing lights begin to gather and shine brighter and brighter, until he closes his claws and the lights dissipate into the air. "All around us there are normal dragons, and although they treat us with such kindness, sometimes I cannot get over the idea that I am not... Normal..." He pauses, and laughs uneasily. "Irony that I say that when there are so many oddities among us, anyways... And yet still..."
"Is it because of those with whom you share your heart?" Moyo asks. Polvorón looks up at the ridgeback, with an unspoken and desperate plea in his eyes. "You fear disappointing them, do you not?" The lack of change in his expression answers the question perfectly enough. At the silence, Moyolehuani turns to look back up towards the moon, and spreads his wings their full length.
"Sit then, my friend. Sit so that you may hear the tale describing your miraculous birth..."

These beings hold a magic within them that cannot be compared to that of the Eleven, but one that does not interfere with the world as the kin of the Eleven do.
Every so often, magic spills from this Other into our world, giving birth to dragons that hold unimaginable abilities that none born through normal means could ever hope to acquire. It's a magic some hope to obtain, whether it be through means benevolent, or by disregarding all laws of ethics and morality. Other times, it simply happens, as in the case of you and me, my friend.
In my case, I was given a body that can never perish, and in yours—a body that can hold every magic imaginable to this world.
After millennia of seeking a way to harness this power from the Other, many dragons across Sornieth learned to read the stars and know just when this magic may leak into ours, and thusly, when to capture it. At first, it was far less humane. These scholars would purposely hatch eggs during the peak of the magic transference, forcing the newborn to absorb all of it, and discarding them if it failed... But as time passed and word spread and twisted as it so does when carried from ear to ear and mouth to mouth, many discovered that it was also a time in which most could have healthy nests.
It went from a demented project to harness magics unknown to Sornieth, to a celebration of life all across the world. And a side-effect of this new celebration, was that at least one dragon would be born with a magic or quality yet unknown to this world. Those scholars who hoped to harness this power no longer had it under their own control, and so they simply gave up in their search to keep the powers for themselves. By now, all of Sornieth had learned of these bountiful times, and it became a custom celebrated across the world.
This custom is one the world knows as The Boon, though the exact origins are actually unknown to many who participate in it. I only know of the origins thanks to the scientists that once hailed from Istaeoria itself, many, many years ago. Despite being unawares of the origin, this custom grows more and more popular as the years pass.
The nest your parents laid were one among many in preparation of this coming, in hopes to have a healthy nest. So when the time came, and your nest hatched, it seemed that the magics of the Other chose [i]you.[/i]
While others inherited magics more powerful than those most are used to, yours... Yours is one that this world has not seen in eons. It was a magics that called upon many from all over the world, hoping to recruit your siblings who shared even the tiniest bit of magic, or even you, to their clan. Yours is a charismatic magic... He, who has the ability to create something from nothing, Polvorón, born from two completely normal dragons knows the power within him can rival the power of the first eleven who created Sornieth itself.
But he is a kind, gentle soul, who looks upon the earth on which he was born with a soft look, though whether it be nostalgia or melancholy, only he himself knows. He claims his magic is what attracts others to his side, but those who've found themselves standing beside him have said it is he, himself who claimed their hearts. He never uses his magic for anything other than to help others who need it, and rarely ever uses it for himself. No matter whom it is he speaks with, Polvorón will always have a soft, gentle smile upon his maw, and he will always greet one with a delicate, "How are you today?" He loves each and every one of his kin equally, and will always greet them with a smile full of so much love that it's practically tangible, and always sees them off to their new clan, bidding them a long life of luck and love.[/center]

Intersex Genderfluid Imperial
He who was borne of a time when many many others were, and he, whom chance chose. He, who has the ability to create something from nothing, Polvorón, born from two completely normal dragons knows the power within him can rival the power of the first eleven who created Sornieth itself.
But he is a kind, gentle soul, who looks upon the earth on which he was born with a soft look, though whether it be nostalgia or melancholy, only he himself knows. He claims his magic is what attracts others to his side, but those who've found themselves standing beside him have said it is he, himself who claimed their hearts. He never uses his magic for anything other than to help others who need it, and rarely ever uses it for himself. No matter whom it is he speaks with, Polvorón will always have a soft, gentle smile upon his maw, and he will always greet one with a delicate, "How are you today?" He loves each and every one of his kin equally, and will always greet them with a smile full of so much love that it's practically tangible, and always sees them off to their new clan, bidding them a long life of luck and love.

All I can really suggest is try to avoid memeing your dragon too much; his ID is very easy to tip toe around ToS & rule-breaking behavior, so please be careful.
Otherwise, have fun with your descendant! You are more than free to disregard any of the lore I've built here and run with your own thing, but please avoid angst-i-fying your descendant :'3 These children are all raised with love and care... But who knows what happens outside of my lair! The world can be a cruel place!

Inbreeding is [i]okay.[/i] To figure out the generation, always refer to them by the [i]latest[/i] generation! So if you breed a G2 and a G5, they will be a G6, not a G3.

Generations ::
• Polvorón is Generation 1.
• Children born directly from him are Generation 2.
• Patchwork Scion, Purple Prose, and Pale Umbra children are Generation 3. This also goes for the children of any G2s one may own.
• Children from RE: Nox are Generation 4. This goes for the children of any G3s one may own.
Inbreeding is okay. To figure out the generation, always refer to them by the latest generation! So if you breed a G2 and a G5, they will be a G6, not a G3.

All descendants of Polvorón, regardless of generation, have a great affinity to magic. They can use a wide array of magic, but depending on their line, their affinity and specialties may vary.

And those born with a [b]Faceted[/b] gaze can use their sight to see as far as they desire, including to lands several thousands of miles away.

Due to the traceable lineages of both Polvo and Pan, they have the most "Dragon" in them out of all Descendants of Polvorón. However, this doesn't make them any less magical than their half-siblings.
Children of Pan and Polvorón have an affinity to empathetic magic, allowing them to be more in-tune with their own emotions and of those around them, and create powerful magics according to the current prevalent emotion. Negative emotions create destructive, turbulent magics such as fire or lightning magics, whilst positive emotions call for healing magics and soothing, serene magics such as water or light magics. This magic differs from the typical Polvo Descendant magic due to its strength—it is significantly more powerful than typical Polvo Descendant magic, but only when said emotion is the most prevalent, otherwise the magic is significantly weaker.
For some reason, Ridgebacks born of this pair do not have the typical aversion to water their breed typically has. In fact, they (and their imperial siblings) are fond of rain and the sound of running water.

Holding similar magics to their other half-siblings, what makes Novus and Polvo offspring stand out is their affinity with magic attributed to "creation." They are able to hasten the growth of seeds or saplings, and they can also return damaged objects to their original form without much issue. On top of this, they are also able to take something and change its form, completely, but it must have the same mass (so a pebble cannot be turned into a feather, but it can be changed into an acorn).
Children of this pair are quite extroverted and are fond of large gatherings. They will find any excuse to celebrate anything and are great party planners and hosters.

These offspring have the ability to purify anything they touch, be it cleansing a plague from a dragon, to removing any and all pollution from the surrounding water. Another facet of this magic is the ability to reverse time on something that has been changed by unnatural technology, returning it to its original form.
One would think this makes them averted to mechanical creations, but they are only critical of those that purposely bring danger to nature. While they are most comfortable in natural environments, they will not oppose to living with those who are interested in the technological side of life. In fact, they aren't against the idea of teaming up with them to make sure it's earth-friendly.

Similar to their half-siblings from Pan and Polvo, Amica and Polvo kids have an empathetic magic. However, the exact nature of this magic differs slightly: their empathetic magic influences others into feeling the way they feel, instead. This ability can be turned off and on, but when they feel like it, these children can inspire others into experiencing the same emotions. Its potency isn't enough to completely change the target's current mood, but it can be compared to that pesky friend who keeps trying to make you laugh and eventually succeeds.
No Polvorón child goes out of their way to influence negative emotions into others*.
These children are also very extroverted, and often go out of their way to make sure everybody feels included in gatherings, or in the case of being around more introverted friends, to at least make sure they're comfortable. They make phenomenal friends, and their positivity is, quite literally, contagious.

They are born on a day where dragonkind is encouraged to accept themselves for who they are, which has blessed them with a peculiar magics.
Empathetic magic is a very popular type of magic shared among Polvo descendants, and children of Psyki are no exception. Children of Psyki and Polvo have the ability to soothe others naturally. They constantly exude an aura that can only be described as a very warm hug that reaches the very core of the dragon that is around the descendant. They have the ability to change the magnitude of this "aura," all the way from a "tight, warm hug" to a "warm, fuzzy feeling," to absolutely nothing. It seems most of the time it's in a low "setting," to simply make dragons feel welcome and comfortable.
These descendants are usually very soft-spoken and calm, and find that they work best in places such as hatcheries or medical fields. They make wonderful friends, as most Polvo descendants do.

Their children are not born normally, and instead are beings that have been woven together by a very powerful combination of magic and science that can only be done once a month. Nein creates the body and Prota infuses it with life.
Due to this, they initially take on a slimy or patchwork-like appearance, but can sometimes change with the passage of time. Due to the nature of their birth, they do require a four-day incubation period on which the magic properly infuses itself into the body, and on the fifth day, the dragon has gained full sentience. By the the time the dragon reaches adulthood, about two months later ((5 days for us, when they "grow up")), it is almost impossible to tell them apart from other normal dragons. The lingering magic completely converts them into a normal living, breathing dragon.
Dragons born of Prota and Nein have an affinity to dolls and other non-organic sentient beings. It wouldn't be so strange to find them with an occupation as a puppeteer! In fact, their magic is primarily attuned to puppeteering. They can move any organic or non-organic object to their heart's desire for about a day after coming in contact with it once. They must touch said object again if they wish to puppeteer it again.
They are able to use this ability on other dragons, but refrain from doing so, due to the immoral nature of it*.
They aren't as extroverted as other Polvorón descendants, but they have more than enough love and acceptance in their heart to reach out to others in the times of need.

Different from their brother and his mate, however, Defteros and Sativus use a special kind of magic to make their children.
By shedding a single scale each, they put them together and infuse them with a transformative magic that results in an offspring that's just like any other dragon with traits similar to both parents. It seems, however, that this method of procreation results in more ridgebacks than imperials.
As is the nature of all Polvorón descendants, the children of Defteros and Sativus have inherited a very peculiar magics that is unlike that of their relatives. These children are both with the affinity to the absence of light. They are able to create areas void of all light, or simply lower the light levels in order to create a nicer place to rest for dragons who prefer the darkness. They can also easily travel through shadows with ease, taking both organic and non-organic objects with them if they so well please. They are able to keep any organic being, be it another dragon, a familiar, or somebody else, with them safe during this travel, as the shadows are not typically a safe place for those who do not have control over this magic.
These children are nocturnal, but they have no issue walking about in the day should the need come up, but they certainly have a preference to the night. It seems they have a deep fascination to flora that blooms at night, as well. They will gladly offer their traveling services to any who need it.

As for their magics, children borne of Tritos and Miki seemingly inherited the most prominent magic from the land where their grandparents originate: ice. Whilst all Polvorón descendants have access to this magics, these children are the strongest wielders of this particular magic. They can create deadly blizzards and turn lakes that are hundreds of feet deep into solid ice at worst, but tend to stick to simpler magics such as making small snow flurries to entertain hatchlings to freezing a few ice cubes to cool oneself during the summer after creating a nice, cool breeze.
Personality-wise, their children are all about self-love. They are gentle and kind to any and all dragons, and seem to be quite in-tune with the emotions of others and know when a clanmate may be feeling under the weather. They have a habit of finding ways to help clanmates feel better about themselves, though their methods may vary.
On top of this, they're fans of [i]beauty.[/i] However, what exactly they find "beautiful" varies from descendant to descendant, but they respect each and every siblings's preference, even if it's completely different from their own. Caution is advised when speaking to a Purple Prose descendant about what they find "beautiful," for they may talk about it for hours after showing you their intricate collection of said thing.

They are incapable of catching diseases, have a greater natural stamina than their kin, and are capable of surviving attacks that could fatally wound a fellow clanmate without ending up with so much as a scratch.
They value the ability to survive without depending on their magic, but also without depending too greatly on their heightened hardiness, and are therefore great at survival tactics, keeping calm in tense situations, and surviving through emergencies. Even if they do not become injured so easily, they still take care to avoid recklessness. They can often be seen scolding others for being reckless. They will gladly aid any dragon who desires to learn survival tactics.

All descendants of Polvorón, regardless of generation, have a great affinity to magic. They can use a wide array of magic, but depending on their line, their affinity and specialties may vary.
All Descendants have access to:
• • Healing Magic - The ability to speed up the recovery of injuries.
• • Water Elemental Magic - The ability to manipulate water and all related to it, such as ice. They can gather moisture from the air to "create" water.
• • Fire Elemental Magic - The ability to manipulate fire and all related to it, such as lightning. They can ignite oxygen into flame by creating sparks, seemingly making it appear out of nowhere.
• • Earth Elemental Magic - The ability to manipulate the earth and all related to it, such as steel and flora. They are able to terraform quite easily, as well as manipulate forged weaponry easily.
• • Wind Elemental Magic - The ability to manipulate wind and all related to it, such as the weather. They are able to create simple breezes or even storms (that are non-destructive).
• • Light & Dark Magic - The ability to manipulate light waves and shadows, allowing them to create light in darkness, or create dancing shadows. This magic is mostly aesthetic.
And finally, you are free to disregard this ability:
• • Shapeshifting - All descendants of Polvorón have the ability to change their shape into anything they can imagine wherever and whenever they please, be it organic or inorganic, including that of a human. They may take a completely human shape, or keep some of their dragonoid features such as wings and horns.
It is said that descendants born with Primal eyes are blessed with the most powerful of magics held by any descendant. It is several times more powerful than any of their kin. They also share the same abilities as those born with Multi-gaze and Faceted eyes.
Those born with Multi-gaze are able to use their many eyes to gaze across the multitude of timelines and worlds in the universe whenever they desire.
And those born with a Faceted gaze can use their sight to see as far as they desire, including to lands several thousands of miles away.
This includes descendants who use a vial to convert the nature of their eyes. You can choose whether or not to include if they are either naturally or vialed with multi-gaze, primal, faceted!
Polvorón & Pan
One could say that children of Polvorón and Pan are perhaps the most typical of dragons. Due to the traceable lineages of both Polvo and Pan, they have the most "Dragon" in them out of all Descendants of Polvorón. However, this doesn't make them any less magical than their half-siblings.
Children of Pan and Polvorón have an affinity to empathetic magic, allowing them to be more in-tune with their own emotions and of those around them, and create powerful magics according to the current prevalent emotion. Negative emotions create destructive, turbulent magics such as fire or lightning magics, whilst positive emotions call for healing magics and soothing, serene magics such as water or light magics. This magic differs from the typical Polvo Descendant magic due to its strength—it is significantly more powerful than typical Polvo Descendant magic, but only when said emotion is the most prevalent, otherwise the magic is significantly weaker.
For some reason, Ridgebacks born of this pair do not have the typical aversion to water their breed typically has. In fact, they (and their imperial siblings) are fond of rain and the sound of running water.

Polvorón & Novus
Children of Polvorón and Novus bring with them the coming of a new year. They bring with them new stories, new beginnings...
Holding similar magics to their other half-siblings, what makes Novus and Polvo offspring stand out is their affinity with magic attributed to "creation." They are able to hasten the growth of seeds or saplings, and they can also return damaged objects to their original form without much issue. On top of this, they are also able to take something and change its form, completely, but it must have the same mass (so a pebble cannot be turned into a feather, but it can be changed into an acorn).
Children of this pair are quite extroverted and are fond of large gatherings. They will find any excuse to celebrate anything and are great party planners and hosters.

Polvorón & Vita
Dragons born from Polvorón and Vita are always born when the magics of the world are the purest, untainted by any and all progress dragonkind has done throughout the years: on the day of Sornieth (Earth Day).
Whilst their general magics is the same as their half-siblings's, their earth magic is the strongest, but they also have another power that is exclusive to them. These offspring have the ability to purify anything they touch, be it cleansing a plague from a dragon, to removing any and all pollution from the surrounding water. Another facet of this magic is the ability to reverse time on something that has been changed by unnatural technology, returning it to its original form.
One would think this makes them averted to mechanical creations, but they are only critical of those that purposely bring danger to nature. While they are most comfortable in natural environments, they will not oppose to living with those who are interested in the technological side of life. In fact, they aren't against the idea of teaming up with them to make sure it's earth-friendly.

Polvorón & Amica
Amica and Polvorón's children are always born on the day celebrating friendship and platonic love.
Similar to their half-siblings from Pan and Polvo, Amica and Polvo kids have an empathetic magic. However, the exact nature of this magic differs slightly: their empathetic magic influences others into feeling the way they feel, instead. This ability can be turned off and on, but when they feel like it, these children can inspire others into experiencing the same emotions. Its potency isn't enough to completely change the target's current mood, but it can be compared to that pesky friend who keeps trying to make you laugh and eventually succeeds.
No Polvorón child goes out of their way to influence negative emotions into others*.
These children are also very extroverted, and often go out of their way to make sure everybody feels included in gatherings, or in the case of being around more introverted friends, to at least make sure they're comfortable. They make phenomenal friends, and their positivity is, quite literally, contagious.

Polvorón & Psyki
And last but not least, we arrive at the children born from Polvorón and Psyki. They are born on a day where dragonkind is encouraged to accept themselves for who they are, which has blessed them with a peculiar magics.
Empathetic magic is a very popular type of magic shared among Polvo descendants, and children of Psyki are no exception. Children of Psyki and Polvo have the ability to soothe others naturally. They constantly exude an aura that can only be described as a very warm hug that reaches the very core of the dragon that is around the descendant. They have the ability to change the magnitude of this "aura," all the way from a "tight, warm hug" to a "warm, fuzzy feeling," to absolutely nothing. It seems most of the time it's in a low "setting," to simply make dragons feel welcome and comfortable.
These descendants are usually very soft-spoken and calm, and find that they work best in places such as hatcheries or medical fields. They make wonderful friends, as most Polvo descendants do.

They will only have Ice eyes, though their first nest has Plague Eyes.
Prota & Nein
Prota and Nein are two dragons born from dragons who are very interested in both magic and science. Their children are not born normally, and instead are beings that have been woven together by a very powerful combination of magic and science that can only be done once a month. Nein creates the body and Prota infuses it with life.
Due to this, they initially take on a slimy or patchwork-like appearance, but can sometimes change with the passage of time. Due to the nature of their birth, they do require a four-day incubation period on which the magic properly infuses itself into the body, and on the fifth day, the dragon has gained full sentience. By the the time the dragon reaches adulthood, about two months later ((5 days for us, when they "grow up")), it is almost impossible to tell them apart from other normal dragons. The lingering magic completely converts them into a normal living, breathing dragon.
Dragons born of Prota and Nein have an affinity to dolls and other non-organic sentient beings. It wouldn't be so strange to find them with an occupation as a puppeteer! In fact, their magic is primarily attuned to puppeteering. They can move any organic or non-organic object to their heart's desire for about a day after coming in contact with it once. They must touch said object again if they wish to puppeteer it again.
They are able to use this ability on other dragons, but refrain from doing so, due to the immoral nature of it*.
They aren't as extroverted as other Polvorón descendants, but they have more than enough love and acceptance in their heart to reach out to others in the times of need.

Defteros & Sativus
Children of Defteros and Sativus are actually quite similar to their cousins from Prota and Nein, in that they're not actually born normally. Different from their brother and his mate, however, Defteros and Sativus use a special kind of magic to make their children.
By shedding a single scale each, they put them together and infuse them with a transformative magic that results in an offspring that's just like any other dragon with traits similar to both parents. It seems, however, that this method of procreation results in more ridgebacks than imperials.
As is the nature of all Polvorón descendants, the children of Defteros and Sativus have inherited a very peculiar magics that is unlike that of their relatives. These children are both with the affinity to the absence of light. They are able to create areas void of all light, or simply lower the light levels in order to create a nicer place to rest for dragons who prefer the darkness. They can also easily travel through shadows with ease, taking both organic and non-organic objects with them if they so well please. They are able to keep any organic being, be it another dragon, a familiar, or somebody else, with them safe during this travel, as the shadows are not typically a safe place for those who do not have control over this magic.
These children are nocturnal, but they have no issue walking about in the day should the need come up, but they certainly have a preference to the night. It seems they have a deep fascination to flora that blooms at night, as well. They will gladly offer their traveling services to any who need it.

Polvorón Studding Requests ::
Polvorón is pansexual and polyamorous, so I'm more than open to the idea of hosting one-off nests with anybody who wants G2s with one of your own dragons! However, I do have a few rules for said requests:
• If you have a dragon you wish to breed with Polvo, they MUST be have been born with the female-pose, and their cooldown must be over.
• • - Lore-wise, your dragon can be any gender/sexuality!
• • - Any breed and color is also ok!
• I won't breed just to breed, please come to me with lore ideas on how the two would have met and why they'd have offspring!
• No breed requests for international holidays, such as Halloween or Christmas.
• • - Additionally, please avoid requesting a day close to one of his other breeding days (January 1st, April 22nd, First Sunday of August, and October 11th).
• • - Birthdays or personal anniversaries are a-ok!
• Payment for studding is just, let me keep one of their kids lol. In the case of a wegg, we can discuss what works here! (I'm pretty adept at the magic of nesting until they're RTB again and hatching again to feign a single nest, but that does require me to hold onto your dragon for 30 days. Let's talk if that happens!)
• Polvorón will not leave my lair for any reason, so please don't request lair-locked dragons, such as progens.
• • - Polvo's value is around that of a normal 3-digit, so if your dragon is worth less than 200kg, Polvo will not leave my lair for the nesting.
• • - If you have an extremely valuable dragon (like a g1 imperial or 3-digit imperial), this may be discussed to see what we're both comfortable with.
• I'm willing to both boon the nest or host the five nesting-day period. Food is not required, but it is HIGHLY appreciated! If you want to boon the nest, you must provide the boon!
• If you have a G1 imperial you want to breed with Polvo, hit me up /shot

Welcome to the land of buttons and affiliates, seen down below! You are welcome to use these for your Polvorón descendant, but please be sure you use the correct button!
Meaning:
- - The "Child of Polvorón & X" buttons are not available to the public. I will only be providing them for the actual G2s myself.'
- - Feel free to use the "Descendant of Polvorón" button for any and all Polvo descendants!
- - And you are welcome to keep both the Descendant of Polvorón AND the "Prota/Defteros/Tritos/RE: Nox's Line" buttons in the offspring's bio (ie, G3+)!
Personalized buttons will be made for Novus, Amica, and Vita once I come around to fully geneing and dressing them up (and breeding them).
I'm still trying to decide what to do with G2s from One-Off breedings (such as Polvo and Pyrite), so I'll give folks who own those kiddos a heads up when I figure something out! You're also more than welcome to suggest something if you have an idea :D !
