Saint

In the icesheet tundra on the southern tip of the world, two cursed creatures meet. They circle each other nervously, believing the other to be a mere dragon; something mortal and naive. It's the Shade-Touched that strikes first, his claws raking down the demonspawn's flank, and he reels back in surprise when ichor, not blood, stains his fur. The demonspawn lashes out, furious, but pauses when the Shade-Touched simply... Refuses to die. There is something holy about him, beneath the corruption that clings to his soul.

It's hard to say that love drew them together; perhaps morbid curiosity is more apt. Nonetheless, they shared a nest together, eager to experiment with their cursed bloodlines together.

Their children... Borne of an unholy union; their DNA tainted by demons, Gods, and etched with the Shade. They were raised with love, but how far can the love of two monstrosities go, when the world at large rejects them? When they are both feared and coveted for their power?

Only time will tell...
