re: the scavenger hunt, i posted the

Cobalt's bio as well as linking to it in the scavenger hunt rules post! i think it'll be easier to maintain scores that way and keep this thread a little less cluttered ^__^ also, the familiars on the list are just to show pics of the enemy! for example,
you don't need to collect 20 coral carpenter familiars, just defeat the coral carpenter in the training fields 20x! so sorry for any confusion on that...
anyway, on to responses!! <3 i'll continue to post in batches as i work to catch up!! around 12:00FR, i'll post the next event, a tour under the sea...but anyone who doesn't wish to attend can continue to socialize above sea level!

Mirelyn Sunset eagerly awaits the dragons approaching, one of whom bore her spitting image. Once they draw nearer, she embraces Tiesa warmly. The younger Imperial introduces Sunset to Valyriane and Meiqiu, who each get a hug from Sunset as well.
"I hope you're all ready to join in on the festivities! We're so happy to have you here. Tiesa, your father is in the gardens to the west - he'll be glad you came to greet him!" Sunset says with a smile, joyous that her wish has come true.
Just as Tiesa is about to give a gift to her grandmother, a flash of gray and blue zips by, stealing an aqua ribbon right out of her hands. The culprit quickly dashes into the waves with her new accessory.
"It looks like little Minnow likes you!" Sunset chuckles. "Why don't you go hand the net of eel over to the chefs, before she comes back..."

BirdWings Sunset gently touches the flowers in her mane, as if she believes they might vanish as quickly as they appeared. Her smile is bright and her eyes sparkle with joy as she glances over the group standing before her.
"I'm so happy you could find a way here," she says quietly. There seems to be a silent understanding between Sunset and the group of interdimensional travelers, and everyone else on the beach gazes on in various levels of confusion.
(that picture is so amazing!! i'm glad to see all the cousins depicted together, they're so full of personality ^__^)

WolfyKnutz Simera is beyond excited to reunite with her nestmate! As Avrio and Seaside sink into the deep hot spring, Simera uncorks a citrusy smelling oil to add to the bath. A flourish of flower petals flutter down around the trio to float on the surface of the steaming water. Simera joins them in the bath and begins to tell the story of how she discovered the hot spring, high on the mountain as the cool sea winds swirl around them.

Jaguarthecat Sunset is ecstatic to see Aashni as she descends gracefully from the sky above the Sea of a Thousand Currents. "Welcome, my dear!" Sunset calls, and grasps her hands in her own as the two converse quietly.
"I haven't yet seen your father nor siblings," Sunset muses, "but have you met
Aurora? She's Mudpuppy's mother - that would make her your, er, great-great-great-great-great-grandmother! Still, I think you may find you have a lot in common...why don't you fly up to meet her? She should be on the clifftop there, overlooking the sea...she likes to be near the stars, you know."

Cobalt has a stand set up outside the entrance to his cave den, where he's passing out scorecard scrolls for the scavenger hunt event. A sign hangs above him, still empty...perhaps a scoreboard for once the event progresses?
He's maintained a confident facade, but Cobalt is awfully nervous for his family to see his new look - Ashma especially. They'd last seen each other at the start of the Dustcarve Dig, hauling supplies down to the caverns, but in the flurry of activity that came with the revelation of the Obelisks, they'd lost track of one another - and hadn't had a chance to meet since. He swishes his tail anxiously, peering out into the crowd for his sister.

coolrat After the trio present their belated gift, Sunset politely tucks the pouch of currency somewhere within the sweeping silks that adorn her body and wings.
"Thank you, August, and Coniugis," she says kindly. "And...?" she glances to Quentin.
"Quentin!" the Coatl proudly replies, sticking out his chest.
"Welcome, Quentin," Sunset smiles, "welcome to all of you! I'm so happy to have you here...please make yourselves comfortable. This is your family's home, and yours as well. Now, I've just said hello to
Aashni, and
Quist is somewhere nearby as well...why don't you two start introducing Quentin to the rest of the family?"

Anacorn Solana was easy to spot from a distance, the fiery magic glowing between her feathers contrasting her sea-blue eyes and oceanbound familiar. In kind, Sunset was easy to identify as well - the elder was sitting on the beach surrounded by her descendants, her large body coiled around what looked like an egg. She graciously greeted Solana when she approached, taking her hand in both of her own. It had been so long since Solana had returned home, Sunset mused, but what a reward it was to see her here, hale and hearty.

Begonia walking with some of his grandchildren toward the garden - he rarely ever strays from his flowers, so head toward the forest if you're ready to say hello!
Pitaya has been busy helping the chefs - she's zipped past here at least thrice already, so you'll be lucky to catch her..."
"Now that I think of it,
Venka has arrived as well," Sunset said thoughtfully, "but I haven't seen her for quite some time. She's not used to crowds such as this...keep an eye out for her, will you? It might be beneficial for you two to meet up!"

AmberFae The energy on the beach present through the day has quieted as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. The crowd coating the beach is now much more sparse, and Sunset rests alone at the center.
June and Rhodri soar gently down to the sand, and approach the matriarch. Her eyes light up with recognition as June introduces herself and her mate. Their conversation is somewhat stilted, as June plays the part of interpreter between Rhodri and Sunset, until a brown and green Imperial walks over.
"Mind if I join in?" he asks, and seats himself beside his great-grandmother.
Coriander begins to sign with Rhodri, who is elated to speak directly with a cousin. After some time, Coriander stands.
"You both must be hungry after your long journey. Come along, we'll get something to eat."
Before he leads the pair away, Sunset asks to confer with him for a moment - then, she signs to Rhodri, "
nice to see you!"

chaai "It's a pleasure to meet you! Has your grandfather ever told you of the years he spent studying in the Viridian Labyrinth? I'm sure you could learn a lot from each other - somewhat of a cross-flight cultural exchange!" Sunset says eagerly as she greets her descendants. She gratefully accepts the bouquet of flowers gifted by the small family, and adds them to the small hoard of gifts she's collected - except for the duneberries, which she picks out to snack on right away. She absentmindedly plucks blooms from the bouquet to add to the flowers already braided into her hair.

Ducknuckle Sunset graciously accepts the gift - it's a sobering thought, to be reminded of all the dragons in Sornieth who have to fight to protect their homes. The great sacrifice of Sunbeam Grotto's dragons means that while many of the elders are now unable to use magic, their home protects its inhabitants from any threats, even something as miniscule as a rainstorm.
"Thank you," she says with gravity and grace. The younger dragons of the group nod grimly, and follow Xiaoping as he takes his leave. The troubles of their past and presents roll off them in waves, Sunset observes. Hopefully the tranquil aura of Sunbeam Grotto will lend to them an inner calm, at least as long as they stay here. For now, she needs to brainstorm how to repurpose the ingredients for a landmine...

Sunset gladly collects the gifts, turning her head back and forth as the young dragons dart about with the boundless energy of youth.
"Wondrous!" she exclaims, though it's not quite clear who she's speaking to. What is clear, however, is that the reunion has become a notch more exciting with the addition of the energetic family. Perhaps Iricya might find common ground with
Dominic, who uses her Nature magic to hasten the growth of produce and plants. Irem could benefit from an aquaintanceship with her distant cousins
Laguna and
Sandbar, who know the seafloor more intimately than any other. Nonetheless, there will certainly be some lifelong friendships formed this week...how exciting for the matriarch who started it all!

lounieticc "Twang! Quist! It's so good to see you all again!" Sunset is equally eager to meet new faces as she is to reunite with familiar ones, but it's such a delight to see the dragons she remembers as hatchlings now all grown up. "Let's see...you've brought Truesight, and Firedawn too!"
"Truesight, your children have already arrived this morning! Alcea in particular is quite eager to reunite with you...why don't you have a lap around the beach, to see if you can find her? Verdigris is roaming the shore as well, and Aster, and Cordelia, and your parents as well, Twang!" She's seated on the beach, balancing her towering hoard of gifts, but Sunset looks as if she's about ready to shoot up in the sky and start dancing with excitement. It's such a joy to have all the family together!

Znacczlipper Sunset eagerly greets Kovu, though it's only been a few moons since he left Sunbeam Grotto. "I'm so glad you could attend the reunion! Come, say hello to your ancestors..."

StormLobby Sunset quickly takes the parcel handed to her so she can wrap Aracea in a hug. The younger is out of breath, and Sunset holds her until she feels her racing heart slow.
"It's been too long!" Sunset exclaims as they part, but her voice holds no malice. "I've seen so many of your children pass through the Grotto since we last met, but it takes an official invitation for my own granddaughter to visit...ah, well, you're here now!" Her teasing finished, she winks at Aracea, who giggles.
"Your sister has arrived, as have many of your children...and theirs as well! Go on now, say hello...and don't forget to visit with your father!"

whamm Sunset graciously accepts the gift of books, reading each title aloud before handing them off to
Delphina so they don't touch the sand. "I look forward to perusing these," she says with genuine glee, "and afterwards they'll be donated to our
library! Speaking of which - they've added some titles from near and far since your last visit - why don't you go take a look?"

Storygeek "Welcome," Sunset yawns, but her eyes are bright despite her exhausted demeanor. "There will be time tomorrow for our introductions, and I'll hope for you to join in the festivities after a good night's rest!" At this, she pads away toward her cave den.

Clementiny Sunset only spared a second to greet the adult dragons before focusing her attention on the hatchlings. She cooed at them, marveled at the meager flying tricks they attempted, and offered them duneberries as a treat. It wasn't long before the clan's hatchlings were alerted to the newcomers, and
the little sea dragons poked their heads out of the water curiously.
"Why don't you go play with the others?" Sunset suggested, and Mimic quickly nodded his approval. The little Ridgebacks were already dashing into the sea, eager to swim and play (with supervision from the hatchery attendants, of course).
