Sandbar

Sandbar loves to spread his wings and let the current carry him through the water. He works alongside his mother, Laguna, to map the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Initially, they struggled to get the project off the ground (or off the seafloor...) due to their struggle to find writing materials that could function properly at depth. Now that Sunbeam Grotto has begun to produce paper made from kelp pulp, the quest to map the Sea is in full swing!

In his spare time, Sandbar tends to his underwater garden...full of enchanted terrestrial blooms! It's something he's been working on for quite some time, but he's not yet ready to reveal it to the world. The garden rests comfortably in one of Sunbeam Grotto's many intertwined underwater caves, swaying in the gentle current. At first glance, the vivid garden blends in with the colorful sea life, but if one looks closer, they'll recognize soft petals and leaves unlike any found on underwater flora!


Sandbar's reaction to the news of the upcoming family reunion was to grill his mother on his exact ancestry! Next, he plotted a course that could save dragons coming from the north of the Sea hours on their journey, and presented his drawings proudly to Delphina. He didn't know she'd already sent out the invites...

At the reunion, Sandbar saw more dragons in a single place than he'd ever met in his lifetime - and he loved it! He especially enjoyed meeting his cousins of a similar age. Sandbar's own siblings had moved out long ago, but his position as apprentice cartographer kept him confined to the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The usually timid young Spiral dashed around with his cousins, listening intently to their stories, and a new side of him emerged! Suddenly, he was playing pranks on his aunts and uncles, and cackling loudly with the other young dragons. Since the reunion, he's become much more outgoing and friendly, even with complete strangers.
