Zhaitan produced a low grumble in his throat. "So you'll be leaving again?"

Iskra folded his frills. He fidgeted by clacking his foreclaws together. "I should. Maybe I'll catch word of something. Someone has to know..."

The larger Mirror shook his dark cranium, golden ears slapping his neck in a floppy manner akin to a canine. "I still think you're wasting your time. It's been years since you came to live with us. I doubt whoever your birth parents were would remember you."

Iskra nodded, knowing the sense in his adopted brother's words. He also knew that his adopted parents would say the same thing. And yet, the yearning to know was all consuming. He was broken out of his musings by a snort from Zhaitan.

Zhaitan declared, "Why don't you just stay and perform your act at the Diamond Inn? It would be nice to get a break from Pezizo's antics."

Iskra rattled his frills and vigorously shook his head to the negative. "Oh no. No, no, no. I have no desire to compete with that windbag. He may act like some airhead pretty dragon, but I've seen how dangerous he is with those concealed daggers."

Zhaitan rolled his shoulders. "Fair enough, that one has enough ego to fuel the Great Furnace. Is there really no way that I can make you stay? At least for a couple more weeks? What about Statue?"

Iskra shook his head more gently to the negative this time. "Statue will be fine. It takes good care of my den and the badge collection while I'm away."

Zhaitan grumbled, "Well at least say good bye to Mum and Pop."

Iskra nodded to the positive. "I will. Thank you Zhaitan."

Zhaitan answered, "Safe travels."

Background

Iskra was too young to remember where he came from. Although, he has noted that he is hit by a bout of nostalgia whenever he hears carnival music. He found the Clan of Burning Fantasies early on in his life and grew up surrounded by the warm ashen sands and gale force winds. Despite all that he had, shelter, food, water, and all of the creature comforts he could desire; there was something always pulling at him. He felt incomplete, often whenever he witnessed families doing something together. Iskra found himself trying to find comfort in his sizeable badge collection but not even the cutest of feline badges could soothe him. Which wasn't exactly a healthy method of coping.

He decided to take to the road again. Perhaps as he sailed through the skies he would find some whisper of his origins, his birth family. Thankfully, he learned to be able to juggle and dance as he grew up in Clan Burning Fantasies. This impromptu act he developed, then turned into his main method of financing his travels as he went from clan to clan; his performances usually earning him a bed for the night and food.

To this day Iskra travels on, still searching. He occasionally stops over at Clan Burning Fantasies to show his friends and adopted family his act. He also usually needs to stop over so that he can add his newest badges to his collection.

The Larimar Statue of the Tidelord
The Larimar Statue of the Tidelord is a strange companion to Iskra. Simply referred to as Statue, this enchanted object can collapse into a fluid form to move around Iskra's den. However this method of travel is slow and not very efficient. So more often than not, Statue is left to its own devices. Easy going in apparent demeanor, this Statue seems content to be of assistance to Iskra. However not even Iskra can explain its affinity toward him.
