Sunday Dragon Name & Link or Widget: Kapst [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/82629055][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/826291/82629055_350.png[/img][/url] Current Flight: lightning-born but water-aligned What are you calling your flight representatives & what role do they provide in your clan?: While not a flight rep the way most would think of them, Kapst is a water spirit, so is going to be strongly water-aligned in a way that I think could fit the rep challenge the best of any of my characters. Kapst will serve as a link between several of my characters, as he is pirate and does a lot of travelling and exploring.

I hope she will be able to represent the themes of whirlpools and sparkling deep blues.

As she crossed the Frigid Floes she heard a distressed creature. She rescued the baby dragon from the frigid water, but he was already crystallized. [/center]

She became lost in the Cloudscrape Crags, trying to find authentic pieces of Iceflight trinkets and tokens for those living away from the Icewarden's reach. It was Bragi who found her, nearly frozen on the mountain face; Their bond over a small fire with songs and poems led to the Ambassador returning home with Svanhildr, helping drakes in his own unique way away from the mountains.

Oooh, for favourite year it would be between 2013 and 2016, sprites and goblins. But a favourite overall? Perhaps my colour biases will give it to the Sundial Gem Guardian. They're adoptive siblings, with Quercus being raised from the egg by dryads. Perhaps I'm jumping ahead a little, but I've started thinking a little bit about relationships. You can tell I haven't put much time into Quercus before now, I hadn't considered him through the lens of beastclan relations. So he'd at the very least respect [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/15029946]Illuminata[/url]. Perhaps he was initially hostile towards [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/25769706]Pako[/url] based on preconceptions about farming, but came to like the tundra. The three have beastclan familiars in common. It's probably for the best that Quercus and [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/33137512]Lor[/url] rarely encounter one another. I doubt the Skydancer would be a fan if they were aware of the Wildclaw's work. Bonus! Ryndlite was on the shortlist, perhaps #3, when I was considering which underwritten dragon particularly visually tied to their element to write for in this event. Ryndlite was up late working on a present for his mother. The coatl used spicy snacks to help keep himself awake until the work was finished. He reached for the jar of fire flakes when he heard a little squeak. Ryndlite looked around and discovered that an ember mouse had been collecting bits of charcoal to make a nest against the wall by the forge. The coatl offered it a fire flake, and so began their companionship.

It’s not really known how they met, or at least, neither of them have been extremely forthcoming on the subject when asked. What is evident, however, is that both have a great deal of trust in each other. Verglas willingly protects Aerwyna from danger, and Aerwyna’s managed to get them both out of tricky situations on more than one occasion. One is rarely seen without the other in tow on any given day. Aerwyna sometimes jokes that she and Verglas are joined at the hip, but there might be an element of truth to that.

[center][b]Monday: Familiar[/b] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/79787116][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/797872/79787116_350.png[/img][/url] [item=Sundial Gem Guardian] [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/static/cms/familiar/art/30551.png[/img][/center] I don't have a favourite familiar [i]year[/i], although the skinks are quickly becoming the cutest set! While I liked the idea of the Ambassadors a lot for 'stricter' Flight Reps, the Gem Guardians also resonate with my lore, as well as some of the Zodiac ones (like the Disappearing Pisces, Shining Cancer, Roaming Aries). The Spirits and Statues (and Goblins in some respects) don't feel to me like they have the same ties with their partner dragons, lore-wise. Not all my dragons are necessarily paired with the familiar I mean to pair them with (trying to awaken all those I have, and you can't have duplicates) it's also about matching colours/outfits, but I tend to think of them as having accompanied the dragon from wherever they come from to the clan, or having found them there if they'd settled there prior. In this case the Sundial Gem Guardian would have found the dragon 'simply' because she is the daughter of two Light Flight Reps (possibly the Guardian had been with one of the parents, or manifested at birth to bond). (Also, gem/faceted eyes... I just like the symbolism!)

I imagine Sprites to be somewhat smaller than Faes, so I'm thinking that this little one would be a very helpful courier and PA to the Nature Rep, helping her prepare paperwork, organize spells, and deliver useful artifacts. Primarily, though, I think the Nature Sprite would help in maintaining the Grove of Memory, which is where the clan buries their dead and maintains shrines to those who have passed on. The Grove is a quiet, hallowed place, and I think an elemental creature, like this Sprite, would make its home among the trees, using its magic to bolster the plant life and keep the place safe from any malevolent forces.[/columns]

[LIST] [*]Like her familiar, Zoze preferred to rest on ground instead of hanging up high on cliffs of the Millmeadows. The two became quick friends and act quite similar. [*]They plan on taking a trip to the southern Starfall Isles and strive to find peace and co-existence between dragon and perytons. (The description for [gamedb item=16266] says "Though mythology indicates the dangerous nature of perytons, this species has learned to live harmoniously with dragonkind" which could mean most Petalwings can be aggressive towards dragons!) [*]Being Awakened, the Peryton is completely loyal to Zoze and looks after her, teaching her ways to forage and survive outside of her peaceful home. [/LIST]
