i don't think scales is bad but it's really hard to get it to work (like gembond)

TOPIC | How do you feel about scales?
I like scales! I don't think I have many that have it though, I can only gene up dragons ever so often.
Augustin has scales! I like it on him, but he came with the genes he has, and I haven't bothered to scry him a different gene plan cuz he looks good imo

I’ve never seen a dragon I like with it or one where it fits well. I can pretty much always find a better tert imo. Very situational, like crackle but tbh I actually like crackle better.

To be honest, I really enjoy scales. However, it has to be used tastefully - it doesn't work on every dragon.
Was thinking about giving the female of one of my breeding pairs scales a few days ago, actually! But I decided against it

Gotta agree it's very situational. I [i]can't stand it[/i] on Coatls because it gives them a pig snout. But I do like it sometimes on Skydancers where it gives them a bird look.
