Flight Rising Discussion

I like the arrangement of scales on the body but often hate the facial scales on most breeds.

I've got a handful of dragons with it. Like a number of tert genes, it looks better on some dragons and in some combinations or colors than others; it's not a One Size Fits All gene like Underbelly. It also has a slash of scales going across the edge of the belly for no reason, which can contribute to its being unpopular because it looks sort of awkward. If it were just feet, wingtips, and snout tips, it'd probably get used more.

I like scales for birds. But otherwise don't use it often.

It's tricky to get it to work well, I think. I only have one dragon with it.

It's not super bad, but 99% of the time the dragon will look better with a different tert. In the 1% of times scales is best it's good. Or if you want to make a bird dragon.

I saw a post in the Ruin the Prettiest Dragon Above You thread that described a scry with scales looking like a "weird chicken" and I can't get that image out of my head

I like them on "Swan" dragons as I call them, white/white/obsidian [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/dgen/preview/dragon?age=1&body=2&bodygene=1&breed=13&element=6&eyetype=0&gender=1&tert=10&tertgene=15&winggene=1&wings=2&auth=b96654829e0effd3df36d1072187cc693e76eb2b&dummyext=prev.png[/img] but otherwise i've yet to find a scry i like with scales that i don't like better with other genes
