i rlly like the concept.
but the result, what we currently have is an extremely weak gene.
Its visually weak.
i feel like the scales are, too ???? idk??? unnatural? They are too smooth They dont look textured. They have NO structure.
This gene is basically Contour+ with some extra lines added on
it looks a bit more like soemone drew blocks of color, THEN added in the "scales" on top, so instead of something structured like this:

i think it looks really good when the color matches the primary; otherwise it's clashy.

I have the hardest time finding uses for it because of the face being colored? And the coverage on the face is shaped strangely, if that makes sense. I don't dislike it though.

I personally like scales, but I think it's extremely situational. And that's why I only have one dragon with it. I think it looks neat when you have a XYX dragon tho
