Dragon Share

All dragons were good dragons this past arcane theme (and beyond if anyone posts late comers over the week). All received stars. The following people also earned some return compliments/responses. Trust me, I’d compliment everyone individually if I had the time, you all deserve it!

My favourite from you this theme was Gala - talk about unconventional beauty. More than that, this character looks super interesting. I love how she just annihilates her rude attackers and goes back to her berries lol.

Arth was my second favourite and I absolute love her lore <3 big fan of nightmare vanquishing themes and I love the use of that trickster’s hat skin to go with it. She amuses me :D

My favourite form you this past theme was Arcana wine starmap is simply gorgeous I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, and I am always a sucker for arcane aura and the bewitching bangles. That’s a pretty neat accent too. She was on the extended HM list (as were your other two, actually - I loved them as well)

@Deladria Thank you so much for so many wonderful compliments and stars! Probably more than half of my JBFs are f pose and alloy because I do believe they’re the only dragon and pose that sometimes yields obvious two-toned alloy results. I recently added two more lol.

As for your 3, I’m hard-pressed to pick a favourite this theme among these 3 beauties, but I think it’s probably BlackBerth. The combo of colours between dragon and apparel are super appealing. I’m such a sucker for the new arcane aura and the starwood embrace and the rest of your apparel you chose to go with them just creates a beautiful, harmonious blend across the whole image. Really love how the starwood embrace perfectly matches the lighter hints of the dark blue starmap in particular.

No kidding on those lack of ethics for Majixilath, wow! I love the use of the heartswirl and lovebirds for this, not only does all her gear go so well together, but the two romance elements look like a love spell effect paired with that story.

Onyxarpelioth is very dark sky mysterious arcane, for sure, and I love those nightsky arcane vibes, the emblem is really a great bridge between the purples and blues and his arcane eyes too! The accent in particular gives him an extra enchanting look. He might be my fave…I think I’m headed back toward a tie because I’m finding new things to appreciate about this one as I stare at him. Lovely dragon!

All of yours have been booped as well! Of your 3 Tyresia was my favourite and was somewhere at the top of the extended HM list. That nice craggy black from his genes/colours makes all the purple/blue/white/pink around the top coils stick out all th emore and that constellation and firefly is perfection to go with it! Gorgeous spiral with amusing lore (Tyrian has a star too).

As you can probably tell by the HMs picking between your two dragons for my favourite this week is pretty much impossible for me.

I adore Yuren’s bright blues and purples with splashes of black and pink just soo soo good - and very close to winning a spotlight. Love the neon moon perfectly matching the neon arcane halo, such a nice touch and I’m always a sucker for those cards. Super love the rest of the accent too, that gorgeous blend of cerulean and orchid plants goes so perfectly with all the apparel and dragon that it’s pretty much impossible to tell the difference between accent, genes, and apparel without knowledge of each element in play. I am also intrigued by the start of his lore!

Then we have Seraphina that beautiful Star-Ocean gem of a dragon. Really those colours/genes/and skin in particular are just so sooo gorgeous. Also I’m 100% in support of literal Starry Ocean themes count lol. She’s so gorgeous. I really love that vibrant blue and glittery elements and the wispfire is perfect. All of it really.

And though you did not share Dreamer outright, you did only share 2 so I will compliment this gorgeous thorny veilspun as well. First of all I’m a sucker for bee and veilspun so…yeah. Sold. I love all the colours in play here and the gold thorns. I also enjoyed the lore <3

Small Announcement: Don't mind the heavy banging and hammering going on behind the curtain. I'm working on a tiny bit something special today for the next theme and as such it may not be up until tomorrow, but I will try and make it today.

But for those of you who have recognized a pattern since we went to monthly themes, I will give you a little preview to think about (just don't post until after the new theme goes live: Plautumnween

There's just too many things I want to see dragons about at the end of October lol and since I'm not a fan of the gory/gross plague elements (I'll provide more details on that in the theme generically mushrooms/plant rot and horror are welcome blisters/pustules and gore is not something I want to be seeing - including plague primal sight). Sorry plague. I just can't)...I'll be using this as an excuse to share Plague's theme with two concepts I adore alongside the elements of Plague I genuinely do like (I'm a fan of mushrooms and not-gross horror stuff): Autumn and Halloween/Samhain.

The # of shares this theme is going to be upped to 5 because you're also going to be given until November 13th (an extra 2 weeks) before I begin selecting winners. Which might be one in each category (Plague, Autumn, Halloween/Samhain). Or maybe I'll select 2 bonus winners for this special triple theme idk.

And we're live.

Astaroth is so stunning! I love their rich, dark colors and how they shift from purples to reds so elegantly. They’re absolutely charming as well, their voice in the post is fantastic! Reaper is a gorgeous take on the plague aesthetic - I love the sense of grim darkness they bring in their muted reds and greys coupled with a regal bearing from their jewelry. Autumn is a favorite for me as well; they show off such a dazzling array of colors but all of them perfectly fit the season. I especially like how the crimson wing silks fit; I wouldn’t have expected the purple tone in them to fit so well, but it draws out some really lovely shades in sunset butterfly. But oh my goodness, Vindemiatrix really stole my heart! I just had to marvel for a minute over how cohesive vins colors and skin are; the blend and swirl of colors between them is just stunning. Vie has such a unique look, I’ve truly never seen a dragon like vin before! This combination of themes works out really well for me - my shares tended to overlap a bit between the different categories, as funnily enough many of my autumnal/Halloweeny dragons are also plague flight. She professes to run a perfectly legitimate business in apples and cider, but discerning observers may note that her orchards can hardly account for the amount of wealth she flaunts… and some of those barrels are pretty oddly weighted. In actuality she’s quite the proficient smuggler, routing unsavory and ill-gotten goods to any buyer who can pay the price. Her life is an intricate web of masks and deceptions, but it’s a game she loves to play.[/columns] [columns]Duvhirat began life as a privileged noble, bored by most aspects of his courtly existence. His attempts to find a bit of excitement resulted in him being turned into a vampire, which was definitely not the sort of thrill he was looking for. He spent the following years distraught and wandering, trying desperately to avoid settlements lest his hunger kill those found there, but always succumbing to it eventually. At long last he learned to keep himself well-fed by indulging his needs before they became dire, which let him cautiously return to the parts of society he did enjoy—the arts, music and plays, dances and dalliances with intriguing strangers. She would have happily continued that life, but a trap left by a rival clan grievously injured her legs—and while her clan did save her life, they couldn’t save her limbs, and they lacked the skill in prosthetics that would allow her to run with them again. Elonat refused to despair, setting off instead to search for the crafters who would be able to help her. Along her exhausting journey she found crafters of a different sort—potters who insisted she rest with them for a time. From them she learned the art of shaping clay, utility of an entirely different sort than she knew, but the steady meditation of it has granted her some peace.[/columns] [columns]Ghost earned his name after a brush with death—perhaps more accurately, an only partial escape from it. While he still walks and talks, thinks and feels, he’s cold to the touch and his heart only rarely beats. As troubling as these developments are, he’s focused more on his search for his partner, who vanished in the same encounter that left Ghost in this state. He is a practical and straightforward ruler, glad of the bounty his Court boasts but wary of it being squandered or misused. His fey are a solid and hardworking group, with firm senses of honor and fairness. They have little patience for idleness or play until the work day is done. Once it is, though, they retire to Urozh’s throne, though an outsider would likely not recognize it as such. A thick log before a bonfire, it only differs from the others that ring the flames by being exceptionally large, its bark smooth from many long nights spent sitting by the fire. He holds his Court there once night has fallen, he and his fey preparing rich and hearty meals from the food they’ve harvested throughout the day. Holding hands, they dance around the fire, singing long-memorized songs to keep the time.[/columns]
