Uhh...I'll add more information here tomorrow. I have no idea what I want to say in the beginning.

Welcome to my Pinkerlocke, "Together..."!

This is just filler stuff for right now as I want to actually get to the story.

Hello

Rules:

A death in the coliseum = that dragon must be exalted. This is the most essential rule of a nuzlocke.
All loot obtained in the coliseum is irrelevant, as is the loot obtained from gathering.
There are no restrictions about applying apparel to your dragons. Do whatever makes sense to you. Same goes for familiars.
Ping or message me if you take the challenge ;p (you don't actually /have/ to but I'd love to see how it goes!)
And, most crucially, all nuzlocke activity corresponds with the loot you obtain daily from Pinkerton's plundered pile!

Optional sentimental rule:
If a dragon reaches level 25 it "retires". It can join the ranks of your main lair.

Drops of Fate:

Food: Coliseum time!
Plants: 10-20 matches
Insects: 20-30 matches
Seafood: 30-40 matches
Meat: 40-50 matches

Choose from one of these two rules:

Hardmode: You must select coliseum challengers in your lair using a random number generator. Then, select the coliseum arena that corresponds to the highest level dragon of that group (For a 'medium' mode, select the venue that is one tier down from that of highest level dragon). If your dragons level up while in an area, you can still stay there for the whole day. You can quit your battle streak at any time to regen health, and flee from battles if it is appropriate. Don't try do 50 matches in a row unless you want a wiped-out dragon!

OR

Easymode: Choose whichever team and venue you want and go for it. Running from battles, using health pots, and ending the battle streak is fine, as I explained above.

(These ranges can also be altered to suit your level of activity/personal preference.)

Materials and trinkets: Flex your creative muscles!

Note that there is currently a glitch in which Pinkerton mislabels materials as trinkets. If you obtain a "trinket" from Pinkerton, double check to make sure its not actually a material!

Materials: Do some writing for your nuzlocke. How does your new nuzlocke clan change and develop? What are your dragons like personality-wise? How do they get along? How do they die? Is there an antagonist in this nuzlocke, or are they merely struggling against the forces of nature? Write dragon bios! Make a blog, or a thread for your challenge in the creative forums! Write short stories or paragraphs, or add to one big one adventure!

Trinkets: Do some art for your nuzlocke! Digital or traditional, use whatever medium feels best for you. Draw deaths. Draw dragons. Draw humanized versions of your dragons (if that's your sort of thing). Draw familiars and dragons together. It doesn't have to be that good or elaborate. If you make a nuzlocke thread, post your art there.

Obviously, you might not have time in your day to do something creative. If that's the case, don't worry about it. This challenge is meant to be fun and heartwrenching, not a chore.

Rare drops: Wildcards

Familiars: Buy the cheapest dragon in the auction house of a specific breed. Use a random number generator (between 1-13) to determine which breed you will get! (Optionally: attach the familiar to the new dragon.)

1. Fae
2. Guardian
3. Mirror
4. Pearlcatcher
5. Ridgeback
6. Tundra
7. Spiral
8. Imperial
9. Snapper
10. Wildclaw
11. Nocturne
12. Coatl
13. Skydancer

Apparel: Breed two of your dragons. The dragons you pick are up to you. You can also change one of the genes on a dragon, or use a scatterscroll if you are rich and crazy.

Note: You must flip a coin for each hatchling once they hatch. If tails, the dragon is dead and you must exalt it. This is in keeping with the origional Nuzlocke thread's rule, because I really like it.

Battle items: Uh-oh!!!

Flip a coin.
Heads = DEATH STREAK
Tails = Nothing happens

DEATH STREAK rules: Randomly select three dragons using a random number generator. Fight in the coliseum using the "food" rules 10 rounds consecutively (ie. you cannot leave that arena), quitting midway if a dragon dies. If you are using the easymode rules, switch to the hardmode rules for battlestones.

ADDED RULE: If a dragon faints in the Coli, I will flip a coin. If heads, they live but will be unable to coli for a few days. This rule won't take effect until I have a healer in the clan, so you can all ignore it for now.

Dragons

28521216_350.png

Wisteria - The Wise Leader
The other dragons have gathered around Wisteria as their leader. Her outgoing nature has made it easy for the others to accept her as the decision maker. Wisteria is very motherly, graciously taking dragons under her wings and doing all she can to make sure they're happy despite the circumstances. This outgoing nature masks her fear that the other dragons secretly despise her, that what she's doing isn't good enough.

Only time can tell if she will let the wrong dragon in and cause her own demise...

28637468_350.png

Vice - Sensitive Older Brother
It takes a lot for Vice to accept his own faults and weaknesses. All the Spiral wants is to make sure everyone is alright; his own health and goals come after. He's especially sensitive to pain, and fears both the injuries of himself and others. Vice pretends to be independent, and hates being reminded of the fact he rarely can be. His emotions can easily get the best of him and he (not-so) secretly can't stand the sight of gore and blood.

Will he be able to defend what he loves, or will his need for independence bring about his end?

28642796_350.png

Buttercup - Troubled Guardian
Grateful to the dragons who saved her life from that trap in the middle of the Plaguelands, Buttercup desires to protect her friends at all costs. It's no use lying to the Guardian; her "six sense" is knowing the true emotions of others. The other dragons find a great comfort in Be, as confidant and guardian. Buttercup loathes herself and her "ugly" appearance, this self hatred manifesting in an extreme dermatillomania; often causing her to scratch at her scales long after they've started bleeding. She yearns for Vice's attention, and is very protective of him. Her attachment to the other dragons may sometimes be smothering, but Be just wants to make sure that her friends are safe.

Can Buttercup keep her friends alive and safe? Or will this attachment cause an abrupt end to the Guardian's life?

28995693_350.png

Cecelia - Little Sister
Found by Wisteria as a hatchling, The dragons in the Den are all she's ever known. Her youthful and energetic personality brings smiles to many faces, and she is known as the little sister of the group. Like Vice, her emotions may overcome her from time to time, but she is determined to fight against it. Learning from Wisteria, she is very friendly to whoever suddenly enters their lives. Secretly, she yearns for an adventure full of treasure and magic.

Will her want for more than a humble life, and her trusting nature team up against her chances for survival in a cruel world she isn't expecting?

Hemlock - Wannabe Emo Arrogant Know-It-All
Found as a child lost from his clan, Hemlock has become a friend to Wisteria's adoptive sister, Cecelia. Hard to know, hard to read, and never out of smart remarks, Hemlock knows more than he lets on, and yearns evermore for material to learn from. He prides himself in his knowledge and emotionless disposition, which often puts him at odds with Cecelia's big brother, Vice.

With his pride leading him, will his search for knowledge lead to his untimely demise?

29021594_350.png

Chrysanthemum - Amnesiac Warrior

Unable to remember her past, with the only key to her memory being a note and an animated suit of armor, Chrysanthemum follows the group that saved her life while trying to remember who she was. With an incline to fighting, she has joined Buttercup in being a protector of the small clan.

A Warrior above all else, is her destiny to be forgotten, just like her lost memories?

29484529_350.png

Mimic - Expert in Mimicry
A hatchling found in Vice's snack bag, the clan couldn't just abandon the small nocturne. Mimic came to join them by accident, but in her heart, she knows they are her family. Named for her love of mimicry, Mimic will repeat everything she hears just to amuse herself. A good friend of Freddy and Chrys.

Mimicry can only get you so far...What happens when the art of imitation fails?

Frederica - Lone Wanderer
Second daughter of Hemlock and Cecelia, Frederica has always been second to her older sister. While her mother tried to be there, her father ignored her existence. Growing up like this, Frederica has grown to be very resourceful, always trying new things to gain her parent's attention. After the death of Erika, Frederica has withdrawn angrily into herself, feeling guilt over her sister's untimely death. Brash and blunt, Frederica has stopped trying to gain anyone's approval, being the very epitome of "Being true to yourself".

It's only a matter of time before the wrong thing is said to someone. Under threat, can Frederica be crafty enough to save herself?"

Hello
Day 1 - Wild Mustard [item=Wild Mustard] Sentence: 10-10 battles in Coli Sentence Void ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caked with mud, her feet trotted against the worn path before her. The soft pitter-patter of her soles hitting the ground was the only thing that accompanied her as she scurried as fast as she could from this desolate boneyard. How had she gotten here? To this place where nothing natural could live. This was Plague territory, wasn't it? She recalled flying...to her new home. Then falling, with fire and shrapnel. Her wings weren't adapted to flying yet at her young age, and she awaited her end. Death himself picked her up in his claws, and laid her to the ground, as fear took her into the realm of unconsciousness. The Snapper child had woken underneath some fallen creature's stark ribs, and only collected her mind enough to begin running "home", back to the Tangled Woods, where she had been born. Perhaps her birth clan could help her. Finally, her stamina had caught up to her. Her body began to slow down as her lungs screamed at her. Blindly walking now, her foot stepped on a strange red branch, causing it to jump up and shriek at her. The two hatchlings screamed at each other, neither moving until the new dragon began to whack her on her leg. "G-get off! Off off off off off!" Tears began to prickle at the corners of the Spiral's large eyes. The Snapper quickly jumped off the poor dragon's tail. "O-oh my! I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were....well, I didn't mean to!" The Snapper slowly stepped over to him, her sentence ending in hacking. The air was being slow when returning to her lungs. "Owww...." The Spiral gingerly touched his tail, looking at the way it bent now. "That's not natural," He scowled, shaking his head. His hands quickly moved to wipe away his tears, before he glared at the newcomer. "And who are you, huh?! Why'd you have to do that?" "I certainly didn't mean to. You were the one laying there!" "Yeah, I was playing dead. That way nothing would eat me." The Snapper cocked her head at him. "I'm not too sure that's how it works....They're more likely to eat you if you are dead, cause they don't have to chase you." "Oh." The Spiral glanced back at his tail, hears flattening against his head. "What's your name?" The Snapper smiled at him, trying to dispel some of the hatchling's distrust. "...Who are you?" He retorted. So he was one of those dragons... "I'm Wisteria," The Snapper moved closer, sitting next to him. She hadn't taken the time to notice their surroundings before. Old tracks from giant dragons made permanent indents in the ground where muddy water gathered. She seemed to be out of the boneyard now, although bones still were abundant. They were resting in the middle of what seemed to be the very edge of an old battleground perhaps. "And now, you?" "I'm Vice." The Spiral began to relax, ignoring the stinging in his tail. "If my tail is permanently bent now, I'm gonna bite you". The threat caused Wisteria to release a bubbly laugh, startling(and angering) her new companion. "Hey Wissi, Where are we going anyways?" The two of them had been walking for a fair amount of time now. In truth, Vice was very bored of just "walking" and had brought it up to Wisteria several times now. She had tried singing to make the time go faster, but Vice had shut her up fairly quickly. She wasn't bad at it or anything, it was just that the songs she picked would drive him madder than a hatter in a short amount of time. He recalled his mother using that term a lot. "Home." Her feet were very tired at this point, and yet, she still tried to have a positive air in her step. "The Tangled Woods, we can go to my old clan and ask them to take us to our new home." "Our? Whoever said I was staying with you?" He attempted to sound harsh, but their journey was a lot for the young Spiral. It didn't help that they had no food or water. "Then, why are you walking with me?" She asked curiously, her eyes moving to look at him best they could while her head remained straight. "I-I....." He stopped in his tracks, eyes widening. "Th-there's a body!" "Don't change the subject with something so ridicule-" Her head turned to him, only for him to grab her by the chin and force her to look straight. There, in the middle of a crude trap made of various spikes, lay a tiny Guardian. The two hatchlings ran over, staring in shock at the poor creature. Its wings were torn into a bloody shred, laying in ribbon like strips. Wisteria stared at the Guardian, noticing their chest rise softly rise, but barely. "He's breathing!" "...She..." A feminine voice spoke from the barely moving Guardian. Their eyelids slowly opened to reveal pink eyes staring back at them. Vice's ears flew up, hitting his horns. "D-Don't worry! We'll get you out!" He glanced at the spikes. How did you open this?! "Wait, Vice! We can't just remove her so quickly! She'll bleed out! We need....something to stop the bleeding..." Wisteria furrowed her brows in a panic, trying not to let her fear overwhelm her. "...My Bag....It should have....Some kind of strips in it. Would those work?" The Guardian slowly moved her head, revealing a blue satchel underneath her head. Quickly, Wisteria opened the bag as Vice grabbed on to one of the spikes. There was a linen sheet in the bag that looked like it was used to dress tables, or stone slabs. It was quickly torn into strips. "When Vice opens the trap, can you pull yourself out?" The Snapper asked with a hint of urgency. "I think...so." The Guardian nodded. "Then Vice, on my mark! Ready?" The Spiral nodded, gripping the spike tightly. "One...Two...Three!" The trap was opened and the Guardian did her best to scramble out. Wisteria quickly begun wrapping the sheets around her like a spider spinning a web, or an imprisonment for its prey. Instead of sucking the blood out though, Wisteria was trying to keep it in. It took a while before Wisteria was sure the linen would hold and their new friend wouldn't immediately die. Already, the Guardian looked better. The duo had helped her into a rotting log near by that would shelter them as the sun began to fade away. She pulled out a book, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespearl, and set it to the side as she dug in her bag, pulling out a bunch of dried bugs. Vice licked his lips as his stomach rumbled. "Here....Thank you...Both so much. Are you hungry? Here..." Wisteria grimaced as Vice greedily took a grasshopper and began snacking. The Snapper shook her head. "I'm sorry...I don't eat bugs. But I had a big meal before coming here...so don't worry". The Guardian looked deep into Wisteria's eyes, seeing through her. Her eyes widened as she searched through her bag again, pulling out a few buttercups and some wild mustard. "Does this look more appealing?" Wisteria smiled widely at this, taking the buttercups. "Yes, much better, Thank you! Save the Mustard though.....What's your name, by the way? I'm Wisteria, and this is Vice" The Snapper smiled at her much like she did when meeting the Spiral. "My...Name? Oh.....I don't have one" The Guardian shifted uncomfortably. Wisteria frowned. "That's no good...." She stared at the Buttercup in hand, raising it and looking at the two side by side. "You....Can I name you?" The Guardian glanced up, tilting her head to the side. She nodded. "You'll be...Buttercup! You look like one! Haha!" Wissi grinned gleefully, Vice rolling his eyes. The Guardian, however, grinned and wagged her tail slightly. "Buttercup...I like it!" "Well Be, We're headin' to the Tangled Woods! You don't seem to have anyone around either, so why don't you come with me and Wissi here" Vice grinned, half a grasshopper hanging from his mouth. "Oh Gross..." Wisteria murmured, looking away from the Spiral. "...I would like that....If you'll take me" Buttercup looked at Wisteria, the Snapper energetically nodding. She grinned, laying down on her satchel. "This morning...Started out scary...But now, with you and Vice....I think it ended up okay. The three of us will do great things" Wisteria smiled and yawned, as she curled up near the two, blinking slowly as Vice stretched out with them. "Yeah yeah...sure..." Vice murmured, licking the bug remnants off his lips as he settled in for the night. A soft hmm from Buttercup, and the two fell asleep, leaving Wisteria to her thoughts... ____________________________________________________________________________________ @Leopardmask @AnnaStar353 @Aliceclockwork @Belviere @AmmieKatt @KyloRen @SkylineCity @ccdefoe2000 @lackingsanity Welcome to my new Pinkerlocke! Day 1 - Wild Mustard
Wild Mustard
Sentence: 10-10 battles in Coli

Caked with mud, her feet trotted against the worn path before her.

Why'd you have to do that?"

"I certainly didn't mean to. You were the one laying there!"
"Yeah, I was playing dead. That way nothing would eat me."

The Snapper cocked her head at him.
"I'm not too sure that's how it works....They're more likely to eat you if you are dead, cause they don't have to chase you."

"Oh." The Spiral glanced back at his tail, hears flattening against his head.

"And now, you?"

"I'm Vice." The Spiral began to relax, ignoring the stinging in his tail.

"The Tangled Woods, we can go to my old clan and ask them to take us to our new home."

"Our? Whoever said I was staying with you?" He attempted to sound harsh, but their journey was a lot for the young Spiral. It didn't help that they had no food or water.

"Then, why are you walking with me?" She asked curiously, her eyes moving to look at him best they could while her head remained straight.

"I-I....." He stopped in his tracks, eyes widening. "Th-there's a body!"

"Don't change the subject with something so ridicule-" Her head turned to him, only for him to grab her by the chin and force her to look straight. There, in the middle of a crude trap made of various spikes, lay a tiny Guardian.

28642796_350.png

The two hatchlings ran over, staring in shock at the poor creature. Its wings were torn into a bloody shred, laying in ribbon like strips. Wisteria stared at the Guardian, noticing their chest rise softly rise, but barely.
"He's breathing!"

"...She..." A feminine voice spoke from the barely moving Guardian.

"One...Two...Three!"

The trap was opened and the Guardian did her best to scramble out.

"Buttercup...I like it!"

Day 2 - The Violet Towers [item=Stone Fertility Statue][item=molted scales][item=Olympia Oyster] Sentence : 30-40 Coli Battles, Art Sentence Void _______________________________________________________________________________________ Tearing off parts from the log they had slept in, they had bound the pieces with a sparing amount of linen, making a bed that Buttercup could lay on. Her injuries would prevent her from walking for a long time. This way, all three of them could efficiently head to their destination. Getting the hatchling onto the bed was a lot more complicated then making it. Most of the bed rest on Wisteria's back, the other part supported by a rock she had dragged over. Vice helped Buttercup hobble onto the structure, the wood crying out under her weight. His ears flattened as he winced, expecting the bed to break. Seeing it hold brought a bit of relief to him. The Spiral dragged the bag she carried over, gently sliding it underneath her(with her help). Buttercup curled slightly on the blue satchel, wincing at the dull pain that coursed through her body. Her eyes gander over to Vice's, and she couldn't help but smile. He narrowed his own, inspecting her. It finally occurred to him what was off about her. "Your eye....You're blind?" Vice widened his eyes, peering closer at her right eye, in particular. It was a lighter shade of pink than her other, and seemed out of focus. "What...does blind...mean?" She spoke softly to him. Wisteria raised her brow in concern, refusing to move in case the Guardian fell without two dragons carrying her. "It means...you can't see from an eye. Or both eyes..." He felt weighted down by his words, and by the poor Guardian they had found. "Oh...Yeah. I guess I am then~!" She smiled happily, before adding an after thought, "Well, only in this eye. Never could see out of it. I forget it's there most the times...." The fin on the right side of her head fanned out and relaxed once more. "Why are you happy about that?" Vice now furrowed his brows, confused by the dragon. What could she possibly be happy about? Being blind meant that she couldn't hunt good, or do other things that other dragons could. It was a sucky set, and yet she seemed happy with the cards she held. "Because I have you..." She allowed her eyes to close as she snuggled closer to the bag. "You're a weird one, Be. But I admire how you can stay so optimistic...Vice, shall we? We have to move quickly today," Wisteria spoke up, causing the Spiral to nod and quickly grip his designated side of the bed. "I'm not too sure about Plague territory, but maybe we can get to the Shadow Flight today. All I know are a few stories. But I don't want the Plaguebringer eating me whole, so lets get going." Wisteria smiled and begun to walk as she felt Vice slip his brace on. "Alright Wissi." Vice looked back at the log they had torn apart for Buttercup's, or Be's bed. It was a rotting log, and Vice was concerned about how long the wood would last until a very injured Guardian came crashing down on them. He shuttered and kept walking. "...I see towers...?" Buttercup lifted her head, movement slow as her gaze focused on a small purple tower in the near distance. Wisteria had been dragging her tired feet, looking more down instead of up. Her head slowly lifted up, squinting her eyes at what Buttercup was describing. Vice tried to peak around the dragons, but found that he could not with the supports on his shoulders, and Be's tail resting around his neck. "Those aren't towers...They're trees!" Wisteria felt her heart leap, her tiredness forgotten at this revelation. "We're here! We're finally here!". She allowed herself to laugh gleefully. Buttercup's tail thumped softly against Vice. Even his ears picked up. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get on with it, Wissi!" He almost regretted saying that as Wisteria began to canter towards the boarder of the Shadow Region, nearly dragging the Spiral along the ground. He muttered an apology to Be as she hissed from the sudden jolting on his end. "They're Violet towers...!" Buttercup grinned, looking up at the tall trees that surrounded them. They were the tallest the hatchlings had seen, and healthy, not at all shriveled like in the Plaguelands they had left behind. Slowly, the ground turned from a cracked, barren land to shrubs and dark grass and even flowers that Buttercup cooed at as they passed. Still, Wisteria led them on a ways. The boarders, while finally being there, were a dangerous place for three defenseless hatchlings as themselves. Vice glanced up, noticing how the sky seemed darker than this time yesterday. "Must just be the trees..." He thought uneasily. The smell of fresh water was a Godsend to Vice's nose as Wisteria stopped in front of him. They had happened upon a small pond surrounded by a few smaller boulders. To a full sized Imperial, they probably couldn't have fit their entire head in it. Or head and neck. However, it was certainly large enough for the parched children. Wisteria crossed them over to the rocks, Vice adjusting the bed to slide on it. Relief at last Vice could finally breath as the soreness truly set into his muscles. Wisteria had taken off to thrust her forearms into the water, the mud slowly starting to dissipate. Vice's job wasn't over though. He glanced at Buttercup, and allowed himself to be used as a footstool for the hatchling. "Here....Let's get you out of those bandages and bathe you, hm?" The words left an odd taste in his mouth. But Vice knew she couldn't possibly bathe herself, and those wounds needed to get cleaned...With Wisteria preoccupied, he was the only one who could. The water was cool to the touch as he slowly guided her into the shallow pond, cupping the water into his claws. The liquid helped slowly loosen the crusts that had formed from dried blood, and slowly but surely, he was able to unravel the bandages on her. He visibly winced at the gashes on his "friend", if he could call either one that. "H-hey, Be? This feel okay?" He begun to slowly allow water to drip through his claws over the wounds, watching her muscles squeeze underneath him. Vice clutched his hands tightly whenever they did, his stomach lurching each time as he continued to lightly wash the wounds. Be merely hummed in response, dealing with the treatment. Wisteria glanced around their humble surroundings. "We should make camp here...There are plenty of plants, all sorts of vegetation. With that, there'll be bugs, or something....You can also try digging up worms. We have water....We can probably pull together a small fort or something for tonight...What do you two think?" She turned to her two companions, just now noticing Vice's attempt to help Buttercup. "Yeah yeah, whatever...." Vice turned away to face Wisteria, the Snapper noting his distress. He didn't appear to enjoy gross or gorey things. For that, she could be thankful. "Here, let me help..." Wissi trotted over, sending ripples through the water that Be followed with her snout. Her eyes were wide with interest, the ripples amusing her. Vice inwardly gagged at the thought of turning around, allowing himself to be easily pushed out of the way by Wisteria. Buttercup's wounds were redressed using the other, semi cleaner side of the linen bandages they had made. Wisteria dejected the fact they were probably more harmful than good, unable to figure out which was the lesser of two evils. In the end, she had dug through some of the foliage around her, pulling up a few herbs she had recognized and rubbing them on the bandages. "This mushroom mixed with these leaves make a sort of healing...salve thing. And then this plant here kills germs; Do you see how the grass around it is very very healthy?" Buttercup tilted her head in curiosity as Wisteria pointed her foot at the items she had gathered. Vice had curled up on the tallest of the rocks surrounding the pond, allowing his stomach to calm as his gaze focused on the water. The Snapper turned her gaze to a mess of fallen branches and young trees, already a plan formulating into mind. She grinned, and without a word to her companions, found herself trotting over, dragging a branch out of the pile and setting her plan into motion. ____________________________________________________________________________________ @Leopardmask @AnnaStar353 @Aliceclockwork @Belviere @AmmieKatt @KyloRen @SkylineCity @ccdefoe2000 @lackingsanity Hello everyone!
