The wooden floor creaks as you step further inside. The shop is a bit musty, but it’s almost unnoticeable under the wonderful smells of parchment and paper, old books and fresh ink. Books and scrolls, stacks of papers and rolls of parchment, tapestries and tablets seem to line every surface inside, spilling out of bookshelves or off of tables into crooked piles on the floor. Wafting above it all is the scents of lemon and ginger, which seem to be coming from an old chipped teapot set on the counter nearby. A pair of mismatched teacups sit next to it, as well as a white porcelain bowl filled with sugar cubes, and two wooden spoons that have been carved with vines and flower buds along their handles. “Just a minute!” a voice calls out from the back of the shop. “Help yourself to some tea, I’ll be just a moment more!” [columns]You hadn’t come in looking for tea, but it smells so good you figure you might as well try a cup. As you reach for the one covered in yellow and pink polka-dots, a fluffy Goldenplains Poodle Mith appears from behind the counter, causing you to jump. The Mith wordlessly takes the tea and pours it into your chosen teacup. Somehow it seems to know exactly how much sugar you take. Once your cup is ready, it nods to you, and then vanishes back between the shelves of books and scrolls and papers, leaving you standing there awkwardly holding your beverage. You decide to take a sip, for politeness sake. Your eyes go wide. It tastes [i]amazing[/i], filling you up with warmth and coziness.
