Biography
Elena hatched in a clan called Fallen Stars with no siblings of her own. She was curious and bored easily if having nothing new to do so she often sneaked out of the nursery to spend time with her parents in Alchemists Guild. Having both her parents be alchemists with good magic skills it was not a surprise when Elena got very into alchemy and magic too. If her parents had time they taught her thing or two about their specialty or let her help but being still rather young and small she occasionally wandered through the lair area waiting to become old enough to start studying for real. One day, when walking through the lair, Elena happened to witness as a group carried a wounded dragon into the lair Elena deciding to follow them the dragon catching her attention. She stood out in the mage clan like a sore thumb if not because of her metallic arms then because she didn't look like Elena had used to have arcane dragons look. Curious of where the dragon was from Elena came to meet the dragon once she had been patched the spiral introducing herself as Storm. After she explained having had her stunt fly cut short by midwinter's cold winds the two talked a little bit about the spiral's weird clothing to her arms to eventually to the spiral's home clan. Storm told her that in her clan all the residents looked so different that for her Fallen Stars' residents looked more or less like clones of each other though she made sure she didn't meant to offend anyone in there. Elena in turn had hard time believing that Storm's clan had any mages, alchemists or other magic users despite apparently being an arcane clan Storm looking like being from a poor nomad clan with no mages to help make life easier. Apparently they had elemental ambassadors and an alchemist who, according to Storm, worked from within a mimic mirror for having done some nasty things. Elena got a bit curious but it was getting late and she decided to return to the nursery before their caretaker would come to look for her. Elena didn't bother visiting Storm after the first visit the spiral leaving as soon as getting her bruises healed anyway. Instead she focused in studying she getting old enough to start her alchemy studies. She though kept thinking about what Storm had told about her clan, dragons so varied it was almost impossible to mix up the residents and the alchemist trapped within a mirror. With age her own clan started to seem too familiar for her liking and she considered moving elsewhere for change of pace. Her studies were still unfinished, barely having started properly, but she felt strong need to get somewhere else she considering the clan Storm had talked about simply because of the apparent contrast it had with her home clan. She did some research and after noticing the clan actually had experience with having exchange students she talked about it with her parents and started her journey towards a new clan. The journey wasn't that bad the clan locating somewhere on the other side of the Focal Point the biggest challenge being to find the clan in the first place. The clan was impossible to find by flying over the wood in which it was supposed to locate and the angry thunder spirit didn't make it any easier. On ground level she was able to find a small path it having decorated sticks like signposts but no information to tell what direction she was supposed to go. She was sure she had walked past the exact same part at least five times until she decided to try bigger path leading to a creepy part of the wood it standing out of the rest of the wood, it also had a statue with warning message just at the entrance. In there, after almost being scared half-dead by a manticore, she met with a forest witch looking Louhi who gave Elena the directions she needed after she explained her situation. When having met Storm Elena had not expected the clan to have any kind of notable buildings but after stepping into the lair her eyes immediately noticed a big, clearly very new temple partly floating partly resting above the lair. How she had not noticed it when flying above the wood was mystery to Elena but then she remembered her home clan having a palace that only appeared to certain ones and assumed this one had similar function than that. Elena was feeling tired after the long journey it being very late at the evening already and she made her way to clan's inn the inn-keeper making sure she knew the clan was nocturnal as she explained her reasoning to arrive. Elena was sure that wouldn't be too big of a problem. The following days Elena spent making herself familiar with her new home. She had half accidentally met with Storm when visiting healing offices she telling Elena to ask her cousin Azul for tour if she needed that. Elena found Azul easily the blue spiral having totally different feel to her look than her close relative. Azul showed Elena the lair explaining they were in the middle of total revamp of their lair because their architects' crazy ideas and alchemy labs were a bit of a mess because of that. Talking about alchemy reminded Elena about the alchemist Storm had mentioned and she asked if she could meet that dragon. Azul brought Elena to a lab that seemed to be ran by familiars Azul looking like rather not meeting the alchemist. There was no dragon in the lab but after Azul called someone named Megabrain a deadly reflection flew to them the familiar within vanishing as it pushed a fae to forefront. Elena soon realized why Azul had not been wanting to meet the alchemist the fae being cocky, arrogant and dismissive he not taking Elena seriously when she said she studied alchemy. He was like the two dragons were as smart as random snail found within a garden and the two decided to leave when the mimic keeping Megabrain imprisoned started to have enough of the fea. After leaving the lab Azul told Elena to not be offended by Megabrain he treating literally everyone like that. Elena asked why the alchemist had been trapped within the mirror. Azul explained that he had once turned two dragons into familiars, clan's arcane ambassador and one who could blew his cover to be exact, after which he had gotten the familiars to look after him. However, during the previous summer he had joined a very small group, four dragons in total he included, that tried to summon the Shade causing a lot of damage to the clan he being imprisoned after the event was prevented while the rest three were driven away. After getting used to the clan Elena continued her studies focusing on theory until she got lab to do practical experiments in. Megabrain didn't like Elena's experiments calling them stupid occasionally visiting her to tell that. Elena though was not bothered by that and learned to reply to older dragon's comments with sarcasm he hating that. She had gotten her own nest to sleep in and during her studies she occasionally paid her parents a visit to see them and tell how well her studies were going, usually after she made an accidental bomb with her experiments and the lab needed to be fixed to be used again. 
Elena had not expected to enjoy her stay in the clan as much as she did and having her place in there she decided to stay there even after her transfer period ended. She did improve with her alchemy one accident at the time Megabrain using those to prove that she was inferior but that didn't bother Elena who found accidents fun. Cleaning was not but she tolerated that it giving her thoughts some time to brew and her creation to cool down. Elena had decided to try the classic alchemy trick and tried to turn lead into cold. It was notorious for not being possible and Elena decided to try something out of the box to see if that changed anything. It did something which was to make the brew react strongly with lead that causing the brew to blew on her. It made her skin itchy and after drying herself with a towel it turning partly golden, false gold, sadly, she made her way to the healing offices to have Malvadust check her. The herbalist could not do anything and redirected her to Ayla the shadow ambassador being likewise unable to do anything. That though didn't bother Elena she befriending the magic merchant who was able to add some alchemy products to her menu thanks to Elena Megabrain having not wanted to do anything that "low". Aftermath of the exploded brew wasn't that bad though Elena did end up developing golden parts around her body she being sad it was not real gold. Around that time a young wildclaw Noonan approached Elena saying she wanted to become an alchemist. Luckily she was not asking for a teacher but tools Elena deciding to give her some of Megabrain's tools he having no need for them without hands. Elena thought that if Noonan became clan's alchemist she could leave the clan, not that she wanted to leave or anything she having made some good friends, but she thought change of scenery would be nice and she didn't really think she could compete with another alchemist with the clan having barely need for those. However Noonan, after doing what Elena did best and having her experiment blow on her, decided she wanted to become healer instead and Elena decided to bury her vacation plans. After the clan finished building its new lightning embassy one of its residents, Alma, came to meet Elena. The nature fae worked with bioengineering and had worked with Megabrain before he was trapped in the mirror Elena playfully thinking she was his ex. After their "divorce" Alma had taken some of Megabrain's early ideas and decided to finish them just to annoy her ex. She though needed some translation help Megabrain having used some alchemy terms as argot and the fae needed help to translate them. Elena, too wanting to annoy the other alchemist, promised to help and the two formed a work-partnership. Megabrain had turned some dragons into familiar before being trapped and was interested to reverse case: turning familiars into dragons. He had not gotten far he having started to consider the topic just before being trapped and Elena and Alma expanded his ideas before they decided to get to work. Their best bets were to use rats, due to their good survival rates, and bogsneak DNA as they had somewhat easy access to that thanks to alchemy, and it was not created by a deity. Elena mainly did the serum which was meant to give rats dragon properties while Alma looked after the rats which sadly did not stand the elixir Elena created. After wondering why their experiments kept failing they came to conclusion that rat bodies could not stand fast transformation to a dragon. They decided to keep physical transformation as secondary effect and moved to focus on enhancing their mental properties. It was common knowledge that some familiars did develop nearly dragon level intelligence even when their siblings did not and Elena got to work. Few first experiments focusing on mental enhancing did fail like every other before them but the first elemental one following them, though not the first elemental in the whole, a silky fanrat known as EX 26 managed to survive through the most critical phase Elena helping Alma move the growing rat to a larger cage. Because the experiment seemed to be somewhat successful Alma decided to name the experiment "Doug" which was a habit of hers. Since their primary goal was to grant the little guy higher level of intelligence the two started to talk with Doug and even tried to teach him some of their symbols. They seemed to have succeeded Doug starting to speak Dragonian in a week and he seemed to be able to read too. Not that well, but it was step to right direction. After that they tried to teach Doug some spells. He was a light dragon. Silky fanrats were light aligned and trying to turn them into dragons of other element would have ended in failure, something which was a huge problem when it came to neutral rats. Doug though seemed to be unable to use dragon spells, even the easy ones Elena gathered for him to try out. She eventually came to conclusion that learning magic might take way longer than what speaking would and they decided to try again later Elena returning to her lab while Alma stayed in her own. Elena visited Alma's lab every night checking how Doug's development went talking with him to improve his intelligence which Alma too did. One day, right after midday, Elena was sleeping in her lab having long ago gotten used to clan's nocturnal lifestyle when Virgil arrived to wake her up. He was Alma's coworker, sort of, and asked Elena to get to the lab Elena being worried something had happened to their "son". That turned out to be the case Alma telling Elena that Doug had escaped to the tunnel network around the underground lab with all the remaining rats in the experiment room 3, the room where Doug was kept. Excluding Tempest everyone in the lab could have been able to fit in the tunnels in which Doug had escaped but Parcha thought trying to catch a large rat like dragon, who could have other rats following him, was dangerous in dark tunnels and they decided to try something else to get Doug back. Elena suggested they'd try to lure Doug, and other rats, with food they being rats and they liked food. They tried that, and even offered Doug to roam free if he came back but either Doug did not hear them or he was smart enough to see through their bluff. Elena and Alma could not figure out how they got their experiment back and Alma promised to inform Elena if she caught him while Elena returned to work in her lab. She kept her mouth shut about the experiment she not wanting Megabrain to hear about it, or rather about how it had escaped.

Traits
Elena is a bluish purple arcane pearlcatcher with purple body with darker swirls and hint of blue it having glowing stars and dimmer lines forming constellation like patterns on her body on both sides. She has pale blue mane, long cheek fur and slightly transparent wings being same color they being bee like. Her belly is likewise transparent it having pale blue liquid in it it glowing dimly. She also has glimmering round horns they being pale blue at the base turning purple soon after and being relatively dark at the tip. She claims that they came to be because her egg was experimented before she hatched. Elena's pearl is pale purple and it glimmers. Due to an accident that caused her brew to explode on her Elena also has golden markings all around her they being actual metal though not as pure as real gold would be. They hinder her a little. The chemicals fumes she deals with regularly have also caused her eyes to turn pale in color. Elena got a lot of influence to her look from her mother she wearing similar white and purple protective glasses and carries similar black pack filled with purple tools like her mother did when she was still little. Along with those she has a purple dress with fluffy purple collar and a cape like back part. Hidden under the dress she has harness that hold the crystals under, or on, her wings the magic they radiate making few shards flow. Edges of her wings have been decorated by silver filigrees and on her legs, arms and tail she has silver jewels decorated with purple gems the ones on her legs and arms releasing purplish pink smoke when Elena is using magic. Elena has bright and clear voice that would be easy to understand if Elena didn't speak as fast as she did. Because of her fast speech mispronunciations tend to be rather common for her but she rarely stops to correct them either because she has already past that point or because she didn't notice. She has warm Romanian accent.
Elena is curious and optimistic dragon enjoying testing things out. She doesn't mind little setbacks and keeps her eyes in the future where goals have been reached by overcoming obstacles. Though determined and aspiring careful is not word to use describe Elena she usually acting out of impulse spontaneously mixing things until something happens it necessarily not being that safe. She acts first, thinks second, at least when by herself. If she has gotten an order she is usually able to focus to make what she is asked being able to use the knowledge she has obtained from her studies. She is smart and purposive but prefers acting more wild it making successful experiments feel even better. Elena is social dragon she being always happy to have visitors and happy to visit dragons if nothing to do. She is encouraging and optimistic but also sassy and a bit dismissive when it comes to safety but she is ready to take responsibility if someone was to get hurt because of that though she is most likely to do the most dangerous stunts herself, unless the other wants to do them. She can also be a bit untrustworthy dragon she having a bit of a habit of making stuff up but that seems to be more of teasing than anything potentially harmful. Along with friendships Elena values family ties and since moving out she has visited her original home occasionally to keep those ties up and to check her relatives. Elena has a pet abyss striker Paracelsus who was given to her by her parents when she moved out. It has been enchanted to be able to swim in the air and breath on land though it had not been taught how to speak. Paracelsus also doesn't understand dragon speech that well but it able to understand its owner most of the time. It is more loner when compared to Elena herself and most of the time stays in the lab guarding it about everything though not revealing its teeth until feeling something is being threatened. Being a gift from her parents Elena cares about Paracelsus greatly who also cares about its owner but prefers acting more cold and distant to not get distracted from the mission it has taken.
Elena's parents were both mages and alchemists and she herself has worked with both since being young. She knows the most common recipes by heart and more uncommon ones she is able to get to work with very little problems. She is precise when actually focusing on the things she is doing though when acting spontaneous she mostly just throws things to containers. Because she isn't recording what she is using and how much she has learned a spell that lets her rewind time to see what she did but she can't interact with the past. Other spells she knows include common levitation and size spells which she uses to move and organize her items and those spells also affect items she is using. She is also studying other spells on her spare time. |
