Biography
Tarantula and his younger brother Astor hatched as soon as the ice holiday ended the hatchery having four other hatchlings. They were not that close, at least when Tarantula compared their relationships to the relationship the doll triplets had, but they got along the fact that their parents rarely visited them connecting all six of them. The triplets Huey, Louie and Dewey eventually left the hatchery when their parents Halloween and Breeze came to show them the lair while the remaining two left without even seeing their own parents. The sixth hatchling, Oberon, had left night before. With having no one to show the lair to him Tarantula had to do that himself Astor not caring to do so he expecting to start his Search soon enough. He decided to try find his parents for no particular reason he having no luck with that. It was not Hattara, most certainly not Saana or Morgana and Obsidius's partner looked nothing like Tarantula. Eventually Azul was able to direct Tarantula to Elena who apparently was his mother she telling that the brothers were created by accident when she and Trooper, their father, had had a small argument over lair safety. Kaamos, their hatchling-sitter, had told that eggs were born when two dragons loved each other and Tarantula was confused to hear that he had not born out of that. Elena explained that it was not only love but also other strong emotions but the way she said that left Tarantula wonder if it was just one possibility or did she just say that to say something she being busy with her brew. She was making love potion but not to make her and Trooper a full couple which Tarantula assumed at first. Instead that was ordered by Ayla who planned to sell it during the lovebird holiday approaching. The love holiday sounded fun and Tarantula wondered if he was going to find his special one during that, or if Astor was going to find his charge. Having nothing to do as he waited the holiday to start Tarantula decided to try fortune telling he borrowing some books from library and tools from Ayla before she left to visit the Tangled Wood. Astrology gave Tarantula headache with how hard it was, he could not trigger visions, bones were gross and tarot cards cut Tarantula's finger, or he was just bad with handling them, and runes were always upside down. He though refused to admit he had made a mistake when deciding to try fortune telling and focused on tarots and runes they giving him least problems. He decided to predict the outcomes of the eggs expected to hatch during the day of the lovers and got very different results with the two methods. He wrote them down to check which was more correct and when the eggs hatched the runes ended up being very precise while tarots got barely anything right. Excited about that Tarantula decided to focus in honing his rune reading and decided to try to predict if his brother found his charge and if that ended up being same or different gender, and if the two ended up as couple like he assumed charge-guardian relationships to work. Apparently he was to find a charge, and by the looks of it it had already happened, but they didn't end up as couple. Instead the runes showed something dark no matter how many times Tarantula retried to read them. During the shadow holiday Tarantula joined others as they searched for the festival goods he usually staying there a bit longer to participate in the holiday games. During one early morning when returning home about in the middle of the holiday Tarantula found the lair a bit tense he soon starting to investigate the reason. It wasn't that hard Azul telling him that during the previous gathering Oberon had tried to steal an elemental stone in shadow domain and the fairies had taken him and Astor. The clan had managed to figure out the details and threat level the past afternoon. The clan was safe but the two dragons stayed with the fairies having taken them and the residents were forbid to try their own solutions. Tarantula was terrified about what had happened it having probably been what he had read from the runes. He wanted to see what exactly had happened to his brother but at the same time he rather didn't know than faced whatever the leaders would do to him if he didn't obey. After giving it some thought he came to conclusion that he had some skills with runic divining and decided to hone that to become better with that. At the same time however he was sure that he wanted to stay away from greater fates and decided to only focus in relationships and maybe egg outcome predictions. To make himself look like a love predictor he wanted to be Tarantula decided to get a small makeover he travelling to get an appearance spell from a retailer. While visiting the spot he took the opportunity to visit a local spa and while washing his new long mane he realized the clan had nothing like that. Vengel did offer fur cleaning but casual bathing was not possible and after thinking about how a bathhouse could be used both lovers and friends alike to hang out he decided to talk about that with the architects. He could cooperate that with his relationship focused divining he knowing he was not getting that many customers. Back in the clan Tarantula was able to locate Rosalin to who he told about his plan. She was fine with that and delivered Tarantula's wishes to her partner they fitting the bathhouse to their lair blueprint it being left as one of the last buildings to be build. It was eventually ready and Tarantula made it his reception offering all kinds of bath sessions to all kinds of users along with his divination deciding to offer special lovebird offer during that time of the year. 
Tarantula's bathhouse was not as busy as the bathhouse he had visited, unsurprisingly, but it had more traffic than what he had expected. Most of his visitors were those with demanding jobs, leaders, ambassadors and so on, they visiting the bathhouse in order to relax a bit. Those were not the lover or friend baths Tarantula had hoped but considering the love culture was not that strong in the clan, there had never been anything close to weddings for example, Tarantula wasn't that surprised. His diviner services were rarely asked Tarantula not being that mad about that either. What he offered was not that big deal in the clan and there were other, better, fortune tellers in the clan with wider range. Still, Tarantula kept honing his rune reading in case clan's visitors happened to need them. In the clan there was one who asked about Tarantula's rune readings quite often, not as often as she visited to bathhouse but still almost once a week her questions being about what she should do with her life. That dragon was Malla, an airheaded spiral turned guardian whose charge did not want to interact with her. No matter how Tarantula read his runes they always told the guardian was never going to get back her charge and she was not going to find another one. That was a big shame Tarantula thinking everyone should have someone close. He was able to tell the situation bothered the guardian and he suggested her to look for something else to do in order to fill the charge shaped hole. Tarantula's bathhouse had been open for a month when two famous bathhouses decided to have a friendly competition. Tarantula had heard about the event from the water dragons who had arrived to the clan to study during the weeks leading to the event. They had compared Tarantula's bathhouse to the one in water region saying it was better but still being understanding as that one was, first of all, older, had better location and more customers. Tarantula was not offended by the comments he being able to tell they were not meant to offend him. Still, he was curious of the better bathhouse and when the marketing competition started and the clan started to empty with the visitors leaving Tarantula decided to make a studious visit to the two famous bathhouses with his companions. Tarantula started from the bathhouse in water region following the leaving visitors. He paid attention to how the place was built, decorated and what kind of services it had. After spending a good time in there Tarantula decided to visit the bathhouse in the earth region as well to see what it had to offer. He paid attention to same things as in water region and after being sure he had gotten decent idea of the bathhouses, despite the massive amount of dragons in there, he decided to return home to see how he could improve his little bathhouse. He was the only one running that, and he most certainly could not do most of the cosmetic services like massage, but he was sure there was something he could do to improve. Tarantula had not bothered to lock the bathhouse when leaving his runes having told nothing bad was going to happen while he was gone. Still, upon returning he noticed the lights were on while he was sure he had turned them off when leaving. Upon entering the house he heard voices coming from the pool section he recognizing Malla's voice among the voices which he was sure belonged to their visitors from water. They sounded like coming towards the lobby and Tarantula went behind the counter wishing the visitors had nice stay as they walked out they thanking for the refreshing bath. Malla had stayed in the lobby Tarantula being unable to not see the nervousness on her face. They stood silently in the lobby for a long time Tarantula having enough time to figure out solution to one of Malla's problems. The guardian was about to leave Tarantula asking her to stay for a moment. The guarding clearly thought he was angry despite being completely calm and rushed to apologize about breaking in. Apparently their visitors had thought she worked in the bathhouse and she had not known what to do. Tarantula tried to calm the older dragon down he being quite happy about she keeping the business going while he had been elsewhere. The compliments seemed to confuse Malla, Tarantula assumed she didn't get them often. The lobby was awkwardly silent for some time before Tarantula offered Malla a job in the bathhouse. That confused Malla even more she asking if he was sure with the offer. Tarantula was aware of Malla's reputation as not the best when it came to work but by the looks of it she had done fine without any kind of supervising and trusted she could do fine job. She seemed relieved to hear that and soon enough she started to work in the bathhouse starting with helping to make some improvements. After that she helped Tarantula and his companions maintain the building working at the counter when Tarantula had something else to do.

Traits
Tarantula is an arcane pearlcatcher with lilac grey body it having glowing stars and dimmer lines forming constellation like patterns on his both sides. His hairs are naturally shining pale lilac while his wings are similar color but are transparent with insect like pattern. However, due to his specialization in relationship, especially love predicting he has altered his look with a spell that turns his hairs sparkly pink and noticeable longer which is why he often keeps them partly plait. The same spell also turned his horns pale pink, gave them curves and gave him overall pink hue. His wings now have shooting stars on their underside they appearing as pair the animation looping every minute. Tarantula has purple spines running down his spine they not being long enough to stand out from his mane, his eyes are slightly darker than normal arcane eyes. His pearl has pink hue but he rarely carries it himself he letting his companion do that for him. As love specialized diviner Tarantula feels obligated to wear pinks and purples. He has pinkish purple shawl with golden edges, red and purple silk sash decorated with two rows of pearls, purple and orange silks decorated with stars covering his head and tail, gilded bracelets and anklets decorated with small purple wings and very dark red, almost black skirt. He has large necklace with golden beads, golden earrings, neck and wing decorations with pink gems and pendants hanging from his tail representing sun, moon and stars. He also tends to carry a white rose with him. Tarantula is known to be a bit noisy by default even though he is rarely heard yelling or screaming. He has optimistic tone but he is prone to having a bit flirtatious way of speaking that making him a bit annoying to listen for extended period of time. He has smooth Italian accent.
Tarantula is laid-back dragon who rarely gets stressed over things though he may worry about others. He sees relationships be they family relations, lovers or friends very important and is often supporting if others have problems with those. He though isn't that good with seeing things from other perspectives and can be a bit pushy when he tries to solve problems with his solutions even when the others ask not to his solution often being getting more or better relationships. Tarantula sees love very important and for him there is no wrong kind of love and he supports all kinds of relationships though he won't deny finding objects as other party a bit weird. Tarantula is a social dragon even though he isn't seen with others that often. He spends his time mostly in the bathhouse where he gets enough social interactions in form of his customers. There is not that much traffic in there and he isn't the most visited service provider but that is all fine with Tarantula he being happy to have time to keep the bathhouse clean and pleasant to visit. If not in need to do so he can also hone his rune reading and if not feeling like doing so he not being that passionate about his skill he has no issues with joining others during parties. He tends to show up during big events and often joins gatherings during those he knowing there most likely is not much traffic in the bathhouse the events having greater pull. Tarantula has total of four companions they having all joined him during his first lovebird festival. Adam and Eve are two titmice that often carry a red ribbon between them and though they can't talk they clearly have their tender moments and their arguments they being pretty much only between them. Xhaz the strawberry noggle has been enchanted to be able to swim and breath outside the water he being often the one to carry Tarantula's pearl when not in the bathhouse. He and Rakas the sweetheart swan get along very well and often help keep the pools in bathhouse clean. Xhaz is optimistic and always happy while Rakas is often more flirtatious and teasing those being clear traits even though they can't speak. All four of the Tarantula's companions can understand Dragonian without issues and are smart to carry out task even when Tarantula leaves them to maintain the bathhouse on their own though they often follow him. The four represent different kinds of love the Eve being hetero while Adam is poly, Rakas is gay, Xhaz is bi and Tarantula himself is pan finishing the love group.
Tarantula though not outstanding is decent with magic. He can levitate items and change their size temporarily to make them easier to handle. He has tried to learn spells that make handling water easier but has not been able to master them beyond lifting a glassful. He can write without holding a pen or looking the paper but on the flip side he is relatively slow reader without having a disorder to hinder that. With his divining skills Tarantula is decent his predictions often being correct the mistakes often being caused by his carelessness or reluctance to accept what he predicted. He is specialized to predict relationship stuff like how they develop and if someone is going to find the one they are looking for. He can also predict his own future but is too bias to take full advantage of that. |
