Time for Raze's lore! Raze: [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/196295/19629433_350.png[/img] "What can I do? What am I good for? These are questions for me to find the answer to, now buzz off." Hailing from the Fishpine Reef in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, when Raze was born, she caused her parents quite a scare--for she'd been born with the palest of colors. One time too many playing with magic later, and here she is, coated in traits brought to her from Baldwin's brew--poison and toxin, and bright colors to match, as if to make up for the dull ivory/beige she'd been born with, causing her to be somewhat reviled and kept at a distance by the other coatls in her home Clan. Now, the first question not to ask sweet-as-acid Raze is 'why she left her perfectly good home in the Water Flight for the infectious landscape that makes up the Scarred Wasteland, the home to the one-and-only Plague flight, about as bearable as the Plaguebringer. Independent, high-strung Raze, who's only reliable person is herself, as she is a card carrying member of the 'trust no one at all' group, and...then why did she join this Clan? Ah, strike two. Don't ask her this question, she'll either give the offender a snippy answer, or, too bad, off with their head. See, this is how Raze's name came about...her utterly terrible tendency to take off the heads of others who wronged her, no matter how petty the slight, or big the grievance, or even if it was an accident. In her words, "It doesn't matter, still happened." The Unknown is, to put it simply, a huge gathering space for dragons of (almost) any kind to band together. Frost is the leader of the clan, and as the rest of the clan will tell you what Frost says goes. She is not the most friendly of beings and doesn't really enjoy socialising; as a result she spends very little time with the clan itself. She is, however, incredibly protective of the Unknowns, and will not hesitate to jump in and defend it. Those wrappings all over her body aren't just for show; they hide some pretty nasty scars sustained over the years.

Now, while she is indeed grateful for being taken in (though most still refer to her as 'he', something that makes Affliction shudder to the very base of her bones), there's something about this Clan having no clearly defined purpose that makes her scales crawl, and not in a good way. A fairly flirtatious dragon by nature, Affliction often spends the time away from her Clan, when not seeking her own Charge, she likes to relax by trying out various pick-up lines on other dragons. When not doing so, she's seeking out what Guardians refer to as a Charge, and after learning the disaster Banshee has, she's desperate to make sure that her eventual one does not die. As it should be said now, however, as of late, that search keeps bringing her back to the very Clan she so desperately desires to distance herself from. So, here she is, both at odds, and yet, tugged back, so it may be that she's already found her charge? Then, the question is--what happens to a Guardian that denies their Charge? Is there a punishment for that? And yet, whenever she seeks to ask the questions to the oldest of the Clan--Banshee, she never gets an answer. Surely, she can interpret those clicks and swishes--those are the answers of a dead-hearted dragon that has nothing to say, as far as Affliction is concerned, and Screech was never good at verbalizing their thoughts anyways. So, here she is, this cynical Guardian who doubts most of what she's heard, who thinks, honestly, that there's nothing to be done for the Clan she was raised in. Certainly, there's a level of fondness that she carries for Raze, one of the few members who defined a role for themselves--in this case, leading the Guards who patrol the borders of their Clan's territory and eagerly chase/fight off anyone who tries to cross in with ill-intent. There's Hex, too, who scouts and reports problems and other bits of information, and then Contagion, who's usually off constructing robots with whatever materials they find to create defense mechanisms for the Clan, or instruments that allow for easier times of scavenging and digging. But, aside from those few, it's less, in Affliction's eyes, a proper clan, than a ragtag group of dragons that just so happen to stick together. While she's fond of some, there's little enough within the group to hold her over for long. That being said, there's a softer side to Affliction, the one that allows her to care for the younger hatchlings whenever she's around, the little ones who don't mind that she's gone for a while, so long as she returns to play and care for them when Banshee simply leaves them be; too set in her troubled ways to try and parent her own hatchlings. Basically my clan is where rejects go. Because I pick up most of my dragons from the AH while they're still babies. However, only one dragon I have that has lore currently supports that idea. She's based off of the Helena in My Chemical Romance's "Helena" music video, which doesn't "tell" you much about her. So I keep her bio really short and sweet and mysterious. Very few can say they saw her only under the light of the moon, sitting at the entrance to the clan and silently watching for any invaders. I also really like this dragon because it's a mirror with nice, bright girly colours. The colours make it look innocent, while it's breed makes it look bloodthirsty or something. Which is perfect, because 2P!England is a murderer, even though (depending on who writes him) he looks innocent and/or acts innocent. I also did lore for my most favourite dragon, Halo, but... We don't speak of it.

I really like Helena's story. She's based off of the Helena in My Chemical Romance's "Helena" music video, which doesn't "tell" you much about her. So I keep her bio really short and sweet and mysterious. ~~It was better before I accidentally deleted it.~~

Platinum is another one of the few dragons I have with lore. Basically, he was a super popular and privileged child, until he got sent away to a clan with a bunch of "rebel/punk" dragons. Pretty much dragons who have gotten into a lot of fights and aren't the kindest to others. He then got "corrupted", and he went from this kind, loving child to this hardened, tough adult.

Cupcake is also one of my favourites, because he is based off of one of my favourite fan-made characters, who is based off of my favourite character....

Right now, I don't know a thing about how my clan would work except that they don't exactly serve a deity, but they do have ties with the Stormcatcher.

Spark was born without legs. She was ambitious, but rendered useless. A scaly failure. But then, she saw a fae named Brasse working in a small cave of his own. She asked if he could help her, so he fashioned mechanical legs for her. To this day, they have never needed to be repaired. And that was when Brasse realized, many years later, that she was a tyrant of a clan leader.

That's pretty much Spark's backstory.

My clan is a loose collection of schoolars, mages, and artists, a few warriors, and dragons of all professions and walks of life. Getting them together to do anything is together is like herding cats, and it does not help that the leadership was disputed for a long time. They live pretty close to plague so there's a lot of plague influence. Unfortunatly, the lair's original matriarch has rose from the dead by a necromancer that used to cause trouble before being exiled, and they both forced their way back into the lair. My clan is a loose collection of schoolars, mages, and artists, a few warriors, and dragons of all professions and walks of life. Getting them together to do anything is together is like herding cats, and it does not help that the leadership was disputed for a long time. They live pretty close to plague so there's a lot of plague influence. (Lots of dragons from lore heavy Plague lairs)

Awyn here is trying her best to be a good leader with her mate, and they all live in a citadel on the Starwood strand.
Unfortunatly, the lair's original matriarch has rose from the dead by a necromancer that used to cause trouble before being exiled, and they both forced their way back into the lair.

A Letter To My Parents

Hey Mum and Dad!

Its been a long time since I saw you guys! I hope your doing okay.
Ive settled into my new clan BlueFlame pretty well. our Clan Head Karos is so cool! at first you think he's all rough 'n tough like all gurdians are but then you get to know him and see how kind and wise he is.

Oh yeah! I have a Mate now too! Kristia is so pretty~! and she's so smart and funny! I guess her smartness comes from being an arcane Dragon tho. I have some pictures of my family too
