While I adore the inclusion of the new chicken apparel pieces, I find it odd that out of the 6 added only 2 actually resemble the breed they're supposed to be.

I understand if it was a choice to save time but I just found the choice to choose very visually distinct breeds and then use the same base chicken with all of them a little funny

yeah, I find this lil odd... wish then names were either made up or just used colour based name rather than actual breeds which.. uh aren't even show up - which is understandable but aw D:

Yeah, I was excited to see a sebright but then disappointed to see it looks absolutely nothing like a sebright. I have one, I've had her for 7 years now, she has at no point looked like that & the laced feathers, extra small size, and lean, more wild-bird build are very distinctive parts of the breed that make them sebrights.
I don't have any of the other breeds in question so I can't speak to accuracy there (though the cochin doesn't really look... orb shaped enough), but I would really like it if the sebright was renamed to... not be a sebright, because it isn't one. It's like calling the white one a silkie.

I agree they should be renamed. I get redoing the art probably isn't in the cards, but if they're named after real world breeds, they should resemble them. I think giving them fantasy names that are inspired by real life chicken breed names would be a good compromise.

I would prefer just color names since the very cute chicken apparel items don't match up with the breeds they are stating they are, or finding breeds that line up with the art better than the current names.
[item=Blue Orpington Chicken] looks more like a [b]black australorp[/b] (blue would be grey with black head/neck!)

I'm no chicken enthusiast so this thread has been very educational. I agree, if the art isn't going to accurately match the breed the apparel is named after, then the names should be changed! Imagine if the dog apparel were misnamed, there'd be outrage!

As an (ex-)chicken owner, yes please do something about this because it's just... odd/sad otherwise :(
would love if the off brand chickens got renames, so we could potentially get real ones in the future! i also love the art in the icon tooltip of the chickens with spread wings, was a little sad to see it wasnt used for the actaul apparel piece...was also odd to see that you cant really wear more than three at once, unlike the collections of dogs/cats/frogs etc :( no huge flock of chickens.
overall tho im super impressed with all the art they launched today, totally understand having to reduce workload! but it stands out as odd that these chickens arent up to regular standard.
*edit cause i just noticed theres a different set of 3 base chicken poses for the flying breeds and thats where the spead wing art is....personally id love it if all 6 poses could be used, 3 up in the air and 3 on the ground...for maximum chicken coverage....i wonder why they decided not to?

support for giving them more accurate names. I love chickens so much, so I was hyped about it, but now I notice they don't really look like their names. as @/Evlon
