And WOW THERE'S SO MUCH GOING ON AAAAAAA- With the 8th anniversary event nearly done(???), of course I gotta ask: show of hands, who's been considering ways to work Dustcarve Dig into their lore? o/ The whole event has been stuffed full of new mysteries and worldbuilding tidbits and it's quite possible we'll be seeing more yet to come! oh man, i was thinking of actually trying out an impromptu lore prompt thanks to dustcarve! ....but i'm waiting for it to be over so i can start once all the days of helping with the expedition are over OTL

i've been keeping track of which of my permas in my lair get items when bonding with fams (and which items those are); i've been considering those dragons "chosen to help with the expedition" and i thought it'd be interesting to see what the RNG does each day! unfortunately the first day i had already bonded with my fams before the event/after rollover (i mean heck, how would i know i'd need to bond fams during the anni event?? lol), but every day since i've kept track! i suppose the lore excuse is it took time for word to get sent over LOL

anyway, i'm gonna end up putting those into a spreadsheet, and the idea is to try and come up with a brief little lore blurb explaining what each RNG pull meant for that dragon in context! did a dragon get to go with their friends? what did that dragon provide? how long did they offer their efforts? who was dragged into this unwillingly? there's a lot of potential and i've had ideas brewing for days now, but i wanna wait until it's all over to come up with each individual blurb! :D

I'm gonna work Dustcarve into my lore as I'm keeping my phase four hatch Eemia but I wanna wait until it's over so I can finalize without worrying about any updates lol. But an egg in a chest? Too good to pass up on.

I have been writing a short story about the Dig, featuring my lovely acquisition from the 69x4 fiasco: Phyllo. It's slow going as real life has been throwing an abundance of SO MUCH at me, but I'm hoping to get it done in time to neatly wrap it up with whatever lore is dropped post-stage 5! Pretty excited to find out what that is, but personally hoping it's a new breed so I can crack all these eggs open. Phyllo becomes the mother of ten orphans?
