"Everyone lives a lie. Pick a lie you like."
Einsley took his sweet time sauntering up the ranks of his warrior training to become eligible for the hallowed halls of his forefathers. He's the first of Raymond's line to be considered relaxed-- everyone in Clan AXQU fairly well expects its purple ridgebacks to be pathologically driven. Einsley isn't. He couldn't give one tin-plated rat's butt for work for its own sake. Einsley was born burnt out, and he's content to stay there, using precisely none of his warrior training. He's an excavator by trade. It's essential, but low-stress. Einsley just refused to take on more stressful work.
Among the upper echelons of the clan, Einsley is credited with at least part of the decision to move to Ice. His burnout was the epitome of Clan AXQU's zeitgeist-- a mirror of the drained and hollowed-out husk of their former selves the entire Clan had become. He's a lot of what led the Clan to move away from a hatchling caretaker model and allow dragons to raise their own families, just because he refused to allow anyone else to raise his kids.
Things are good here in the Southern Icefield. Einsley would break his own neck long before he followed the Clan back to the Shifting Expanse.
