Aumakua is one of two generals within this clan and is a fully leveled Night Warrior. He is one of the most trusted dragons within this clan due to his long standing position and loyal nature. He is a very quiet and calm dragon with a personality that is often considered icy by those who don't know him. His family and clan mates know that while he comes across as cold and unfeeling, he is very warm and affectionate with his family. There are few dragons that he trusts fully, but his daughter Hiialo has his full trust and confidence in her abilities. While he has other descendants in the clan, Hiialo is known to be favored by him because of her dedication to her clan as well as her loyalty to her family. He is very set in the mindset that all of his family members should embody this type of loyalty and dedication which is why only certain hatchlings are allowed to stay in the clan. He is very fond of all of his offspring and he is very proud of all of them and what they accomplish, but the hatchlings that have that extra edge to them are kept close so that he can personally train with them and know that they are living up to their family name. Currently, he has two sister, two daughters, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter in the clan with him. He is extremely proud to have such a strong line of female warriors tied to him, but he is secretly hopeful that he will someday have a male descendant in the clan with him. Because of his success in raising strong, dedicated warriors, his lineage has become the Warrior House of the Isle. This designation means that all of the warriors on the Isle must either be directly related to him or they must be selected by him to join his family. He takes this honor very seriously and he splits the workload of selecting and training warriors with his daughter Hiialo. Another of his responsibilities to the clan was his role as King's Guard. As the strongest and most trusted male warrior of the Isle, he was chosen to be the patriarch's guard when he needs to leave the clan's territory. This time spent with the patriarch has lead to Aumakua becoming one of his most trusted advisors and a close friend. When he became busy with other responsibilities, he began to search for another male warrior to take over as the King's Guard. He found Hoku who he began to train to take over the responsibility of being the King's Guard. With a steadily increasing number of fully leveled dragons in the clan, he is starting to lessen the amount of time he spends training new warriors and is beginning to spend more time with the seasoned warriors of the clan to train and prepare for attacks. He has passed the majority of recruit training to Hiialo while he focuses on ensuring the safety of his clan mates. |

“Mother, where are we? Where are we going?” The tiny nocturne looked up at his mother as they stopped at the edge of the Tangled Woods. She sighed and looked down at him with a mixture of pride and sadness in her lightning blue eyes. “I’ve found you a clan who is willing to oversee your training to become a Night Warrior. They live here in the Tangled Woods. You will be safe and well taken care of during your training. In return, you are to provide this clan the strength and protection of a true Night Warrior once you have completed your training.” He blinked his icy eyes in confusion as he began to look around. “Will you be here with me Mother?” She shook her head and leaned down to gently bump her head against him. “No, little one. This will be the last time you see me, but I’ll always be a part of you.” He nodded his understanding and nuzzled against his mother’s face. “Train hard, become the strongest you can and promise me that I will see your name and face on the family tree someday.” He stepped back and smiled at her. “I promise. I’ll make you proud Mother.” She smiled at him and lifted her head back up. “I know you will.”

Meeting the Clan
After several hours of walking through the Tangled Woods, he came across a clearing where he saw several dragons milling about. He stepped into the clearing, immediately drawing the attention of all of the dragons there. “Hello little one, who are you?” He turned towards the voice where he saw a nocturne whose hide seemed to shine with the beauty of the stars. “I am a Night Warrior hatchling who was sent to a new clan. Am I in the right lair?” The nocturne nodded towards him and motioned towards an imperial whose hide matched hers. “You are, I am Stella and this is my mate Void. We are the leaders of this clan. Were you given a name before you were sent here?” He shook his head and stepped closer to the monarchs. “No, I was just sent here to train to become a Night Warrior and to be the guardian and defender of this lair once I’ve finished my training.” Void grinned at the little nocturne. “You shall be called Aumakua. It is a strong name befitting a strong guardian such as yourself.” The tiny nocturne nodded solemnly and mouthed the name silently. "I will do my best to live up to such a name."

Training
Aumakua roared in frustration and dropped his head against a nearby tree. "I'm already several months into my training and I'm stuck. I need to finish my training but I don't know how." He felt the light brush of a wing on his back and knew that his newest friend and hopefully his future mate had found him in his frustration. She leaned against him and he smiled as her form flickered a little. "Hey Auma. I think Void and Stella wanted to see you, they were asking about you earlier."
He was a bundle of nerves under his cool exterior as he walked towards the cave that the leaders of the clan resided in. "Void, Stella. Lovelace said that you were looking for me?" Stella smiled at the young warrior and beckoned him closer. "We did. We've been watching you as you've been training and we've noticed that you've been running into some trouble recently." He dropped his head in embarrassment and nodded slowly. Void chuckled softly and leaned down so he could look the smaller dragon in the eye. "It's nothing to be ashamed of young one. You have no one to teach you yet you have done very well in your training by yourself. You've just reached the point where you need a little outside help to keep going." Void lifted a small satchel off of a nearby ledge and handed it to Aumakua. "That should be enough treasure to pay for the rest of your training. Go out and find a trainer who can help you with your dilemma. We will be here when you return to us."

She works with Aumakua to hone the skills of recently registered Night Warriors and to train with them until they are as strong and skilled as they can be at level 25.
