Cruel and cold like winds on the sea
Will you ever return to me?
Hear my voice, sing with the tide
My love will never die
Over waves and deep in the blue
I will give up my heart for you
Ten long years, I’ll wait to go by
My love will never die

Come, my love be one with the sea
Rule with me for eternity
Drown all dreams so mercilessly
And leave their souls to me
Play the song you sang long ago
And wherever the storm may blow
You will find the key to my heart
We’ll never be apart
Wild and strong you can’t be contained
Never bound nor ever chained
Wounds you caused will never mend
And you will never end

Cruel and cold like winds on the sea
Will you ever return to me
Hear my voice sing with the tide
Our love will never die

Doomed from the Start

Lorelei loved the sea, as if they were lovers. Some would say that she was the embodiment of the seas herself. So it seemed only natural for her to fall in love with a Sea Captain. She fell in love immediately with him and his stories of adventures across the seas and he loved her immensely.

They were a dynamic pair. He was a handsome captain with his enchanting lover, but Lorelei was starting to get uneasy. After becoming engaged, she started to ask to board his ship to travel with him. He refused countless times, only when she threaten to break off his engagement he allowed her to join a small trade run.

The crew was not pleased but Lorelei paid them no mind. She quickly ran to the bow to feel the wind whip her skirts and her hair like eager hands wanting to embrace her. The smell of the salt, the sound of the waves, the feeling of the wood under her hands, and her lover by her side; she was in bliss. Nothing could make her happier but dark clouds lingered on the horizon.

Thunder was her future’s calling. The wind now clawing. The men demanded her to be thrown overboard, shouting that it’s cursed to have a female on board, that she doomed them the moment she stepped on board. Her feet were bound as they held her down, her pleads echoed to her lover. Teary eyed, she found him in the back of the crowd. She cried out to him and he turned his back. Furious, she tried to fight back, clawing at any male that touched her as they tied her legs together. She ignored their talk of sacrifice to the sea and that she was doomed from the start. Her tears matched the rain as she cursed her love and his ship, they’ll burn in hell and then she was falling.

Cold. Her first sensation was cold. The salt burned her eyes as the waves pushed her down. The pressure within her chest burned but nothing burned worse than when the icy salt water entered her lungs. She was scared as she felt the darkness closing in on her, the thunder muffled by the waves, lightning faint. Before long it was as if the pressure went from painful to comforting. The sea once again becoming a protective lover. No longer did she feel like she was dying, but becoming empowering. Her soul was always with the sea.

The waves had long ago removed her clothing, soothing her skin, the burns from the ropes healing as she felt her legs fusing. The ropes slide off her newly formed tail, her fingers brushing over the dark scales. The terrified girl had turned to the heart of the ocean. Her heart burned with fire once again, her anger now to the one who betrayed her. The men were right; a ship was no place for a woman, the Sea is. And when she drags him screaming down, he and his men will realize that the sea may be cruel, but her sisters are far worse.

Lorelei smiled darkly, as she began to swim after the ship that was fading into the horizon with the storm on her back. When she caught up to them, they had anchored beside an island to ride out the storm. Following the waves, she found a smooth stone that stuck out above the waves slightly. It was then she realized that she was able to alter her form, her legs once again separated as she sat sensual on the stone watching the ship struggle to stay topside.

The song of the sea is sweet to hear. A silky temptress yearning for a loving embrace. Lorelei smiles as she sang, her lover now facing the storm, standing against the edge. Almost every male was against the edge. Before they could begin to jump towards her, a lightning strikes the ship. Flames flared, her curse had begun!

Men scrambled to save their precious ship, some already jumped to save their puny lives. Lorelei watched as some of her sisters already grabbed their prey but she stayed firm at her spot, for the one she wants will be the last to flee. The ship crumbled as if no match to Lorelei’s heavy gaze. Her heart fluttered as she watched her love finally jump into the waves embrace and now is her time.

Her song is like silk, a web that entrap you and he was no match. His eyes resembled a milky gaze as her enchantment enveloped him. Only when her hands rested on his face did she lift her guise. The terror that filled his gaze was heavenly as she brought him down. She smiled at him, pulling him deeper, her tail returned as she sang softly, enough to keep him from struggling but to keep him clear headed. As death stalked claim on him she gave him her fairwell kiss and left him floating. Her curse finally realized and the remaining crew were aware of her now powerful presence.

"My fair sailor, you are weary,
Come and take my hand
Rest your head and sit beside me
Here on golden sand.

My fair sailor, I ask you to
Quell my aching need.
Close your eyes and do not fight when
On your heart I feed.

My fair sailor, I will free you
From your burdens old.
Hear my song, it leads you into
The sea dark and cold.

<<interlude>>

My fair sailor, the mast's breaking
And the sail, it rips
Your mind sinks into a maelstrom
When I kiss your lips.

My fair sailor, hear my calling
From the waters deep
Golden voices lure you softly
To eternal sleep."

"You’re coming from a place where you feel like you have to be emotionally guarded to survive, which is making it hard for you to believe that he loves you. Be patient, and work on rebuilding your own ability to trust. He loves you and will honor any promises he makes."

-Show me a dragon, I'll give you a poem-
Sing to me a siren song!
Once I had a lover,
But now I am the tide,
His memory thus I bind
In ropes that creak
Of salt and brine,
He turned his back
I spat his name
The sea took me
In its embrace
So here I sing:
What need of fools and kings?
To him I need not sing.
