Early Life and First Job

Bbeing influenced by his father during his youth, RAM had learned the advantages of being kind when able, even if it wasn't required. While not all dragons he interacted with would become friends, he was certain he left a favorable impression on them, and could only hope it overshadows fear that was often felt towards those of his ancestry. Unlike some of his siblings, he didn't pursue the carrier of a fighter, nor a battle mage, but a healer, looking for certain employment. After all, there were many dragons that could beat some other dragon, but only a few dabbled in the art of restoration. Having witnessed what illnesses and corruption could do to a dragon, he decided to leave his mark on the world in a different way.

The first raid in Plague mercenary guild was eye-opening for then young Nocturne. The dragons fighting beastclans were not there to just fulfill the quest and earn a living. They were also there to enjoy the bloodshed. He felt no joy in seeing them rip apart an enemy, but it wasn't his job, either. He healed occasional scratch, poisonous bites, some torn wings, and was usually the one to collect whatever the item was needed as proof of finishing the deed. Still, if he can save some local hatchlings from being kidnapped and used as a sacrifice to Shade by beastclans, he will continue.

Family interactions

He may have been the first of Naomi's descendants to join the Forsaken Cave, but he certainly wasn't the last. Still, his kind nature and way with words did him good, and he has good relations with all of his cousins. His step-sister, however, was a different story. With her came the knowledge that his good, shy father had changed drastically by the Shade corruption, as well. Tech paid no mind to the change, as she was born after, and she enjoys the power to infect other beings, wielding it freely. RAM, however, was immune to Shade, thanks to his mother, and it annoyed Tech to no end. To spite him, she joined the mercenary guild, hoping to ruin his good reputation by installing back the fear of Naomi. She had only managed to ignite the ire towards herself, however. It turned out, she actually liked the job well enough to stop being a menace and was paired with RAM due to his Shade immunity. While she irked him to no end, and not unknowingly, RAM stayed in the party, if only to save other healers from being paired with her.

Ssome of the other cousins looked up to RAM, and he did his best to stay true to whatever ideal image they had of him. While tiring and not very true to oneself, it helped keep the fights outside, and none of the younger dragons were too proud to ask to be healed when needed as he feared some would be. At least it ensured his mate and he can work on their paintings in peace, not being disturbed by some Shade slash in the next room.
