Biography

Kronk's egg was found in the savanna in the lightning domain during the battle between ice and lightning dragons and the raiders were sure it had been stolen as part of that. The egg was brought to the clan and stored into the vault. The clan tried to find egg's original parents but no one said they had lost an egg. After waiting for a long time the clan decided to give the little one a home and hatched the egg.

Kronk was not the only orphan in the hatchery but he felt a bit outsider when it came to his "siblings". Though nothing was sure evidences pointed out that while other three's eggs were saved from the beastclans Kronk's egg was probably stolen by another dragon and left under the hot Sun. That made him a bit scared of other dragons, fearing they could kidnap him or any of the other orphans or even clan's own eggs. Their foster father Kaamos assured Kronk that he'd protect them if something like that was to happen and though Kronk believed his elemental father figure he wasn't sure if he could battle bigger dragons.

After Kronk was old enough to leave the hatchery he checked first and foremost how well the eggs would be protected against threats. The hatchery was about in the middle of the clan but under an open sky and Kaamos with his weak ice breath could not do much if a fast flier scooped in. Knowing that Kronk decided to train his ice breath now that there were no eggs to be guarded to be ready when there would be eggs.

A week later Kronk heard that ice was battling water and knowing he had been stolen during such a battle he traveled to the south to support his origin home. There were not many dragons to greet him as a weird spell had trapped most of the ice dragons into a snow globes and Kronk took the job to protect the region while others tried to help others out. While there he took the opportunity to learn more abilities and noticed how the coldness strengthened him. Water won and Kronk returned home taking few rocks with him as souvenirs and used them to power up his ice abilities. He though came to conclusion that carrying them was tiring and started to look for alternative ways to keep them with him.

He heard that one of his orphan friends, Ayla, had started to make magical items and wondered if she could do something from his stones. He approached the bogsneak while she was taking some snacks trying to keep his voice clear when speaking with her. He explained that he had the stones he had brought from the icefield and needed a nicer way of carrying them for reasons he also explained. Ayla studied the rocks for a moment and said she might be able to make some kind of battle attire out of them. Kronk was grateful and joined her while she worked with the stones.

The stones were large and Ayla struggled to decide what exactly make out of them. While she was sketching Kronk had a crazy idea of having an alternative, more agile and faster form he could take in need. Ayla clearly heard that and made a model of potential armor that would use the stone as helmet and base and could act as Kronk's alternative skin. Kronk liked the idea and went to gather Ayla some metals she could use in her work.

They worked together and eventually the armor was ready with spells and all. Ayla helped Kronk to wear it and when he was ready placed the helmet on his face. While carving it they had both noticed that wearing it around his face would make Kronk's ice breath very powerful but would make speaking near impossible but Kronk, as a silent dragon by default, did not see that as a problem. To help him communicate Ayla gave him two talking frog companions and Kronk left to learn to use his new skills.

Breathing ice did not change even though Kronk's mouth was now fully covered. He could open it easily fully open but it opened and closed fast not allowing him to speak. That though was not the thing he was interested in doing. He wanted to try to change his form and after failing few dozen times and listening his frogs contradictory advises he managed to take his faster form only to notice he could not maintain it while staying still. That though did not upset Kronk and he spent a lot of time to learn to use the ability at its best and even taught himself a new skill to use in his alternative form.

After considering himself decent enough Kronk started to guard the main entrance to the lair checking the borders daily using his alternative form. The clan had no eggs to be guarded and Kronk asked Kaamos to inform him when that would change so he could help him. In the meantime he stayed at the main gate guarding it like a statue.

Small pile of pale blue petals.

Time went on and excluding Ayla becoming clan's shadow ambassador nothing interesting happened. Kronk felt it was too peaceful and he noticed staring at the Icefields when sitting at the gate. His frogs pointed that out always giving a wrong reason for why he was doing that but Kronk didn't know the right answer and let the frogs argue over the thing. He wanted to check if things were alright at the south but he had his mission and he could not leave it.

One evening Ayla came to visit Kronk and not having anything important to do he let her join them. After having been quiet for some time she asked if he missed home. Kronk got a feeling he should not have let her join and remained silent hoping she would not continue. That didn't work and Ayla continued how he should not be so overly protective and relax a little bit but Kronk didn't like the idea.

The frogs started answering to Ayla but Kronk didn't like their answers and he shook them off himself to make that clear to them. Meanwhile Ayla asked Kronk to take off his helmet and answer her. Kronk turned his head to the bogsneak hoping she could understand "no" behind his helmet. He turned his head back towards the ice domain ignoring Ayla's questions until she all of sudden took his helmet off. He tried to get it back but didn't want to meet bogsneak's eyes and turned away instead. Ayla kept demanding answer and eventually Kronk decided to open up.

After hearing his reasons, that he missed cold and worried about the ice dragons after the globe incident, Ayla suggested she could come with him if he wanted to visit the south. Kronk said he couldn't but Ayla didn't seem to understand that and said she was going to visit the ice domain anyway, with or without him. She left after that and Kronk heard his frogs arguing why she would have said that so sudden one saying she just wanted Kronk to visit the south and had just said to visit that to get him there. Kronk was worried if Ayla was actually going and maybe freezing and told the frogs to stay in the lair while he left to pack some snacks just in case.

Kronk waited at the gate when Ayla came wearing warm clothes really ready to go to the south. Kronk didn't like that and joined her as they walked to take a raft to the ice domain. After arriving he asked to walk first to make path for her and make sure there were no cracks trying to ambush them. He tried to ask what she was looking for but she was very vague about the details and just said it was found inland. Kronk didn't like that and the deeper they went the more he started to worry if Ayla could stand the cold. He was an ice dragon and could not warm her up if she froze but she was able to find them shelter when wind picked up.

They had still not found what Ayla was looking for, even when she picked up stuff here and there, and they eventually reached the Fortress of Ends. Kronk was nervous about that and was sure they would have been trapped in ice if it wasn't for Ayla's ambassador emblem. They were let in as guests and they met with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Fortress and Kronk's heart skipped a beat when Ayla told Them that he wanted to serve the Icewarden. It was a huge honor and Kronk didn't feel worthy being just a mere guard. He though couldn't say anything to get out of the situation when Ayla explained that their clan lacked an ice ambassador and Kronk could take that role and hear what was going on at the Icefields thanks to his status.

Kronk realized that Ayla had not been looking for anything but had wanted him there just to give him this status. He wasn't sure what to feel but feeling bad to deny the Ministry's offer he took the job. He got his symbols, emblem, tome and a halo for what he had done back during the globe incident and started a journey back to the Starfall Isles.

While wandering towards the north Ayla apologized having tricked him. Kronk was not angry but made clear he could not work as guard with all these symbols he now had. Ayla understood and allowed him to store them in her shop until he needed them for representation mission. Kronk was grateful and locked them in a closet once they arrived to Ayla's shop. She gave him the key and Kronk left to check his frogs and the borders and continued his job as guard.

Small pile of pale blue petals.

Life in the clan was mostly peaceful Kronk checking the borders daily always at the different time always returning to his spot once done with the routine. If there had been hatchlings he would have looked after them but there being very few of them he really didn't need to. When there finally was something worth worrying about the clan seemed more worried about an old dragon Nemo who saved four dragons instead of the thing from what she had saved them. Despite her seemingly having a criminal record Kronk thought they should let her return to the lair Ayla knowing her and was pleased when his frog companions seemed to, for once, have similar ideas.

While guarding Kronk heard rumors that things would probably get problematic with Nemo again in the lair. He thought them to be simple superstition and for a long time nothing worth noting happened in the lair despite of "wicked" dragon's presence. If something happened it was positive the clan discovering a new constellation Kronk watching everyone get very excited over it. For Kronk it was more annoying clan's architects Pernis and Rosalin coming to ask his opinion about what kind of embassy he wanted and what kind of entrance he could use to access it it being in same place as Ayla's having hidden entrance in a haunted house for commoners. Kronk didn't really care and gave just very vague answers but he was happy about how they were going to improve defense of the hatchery.

The clan was about to start building the temple in where both hatchery and ice embassy were to locate when things in the lair started to get worrying. At first some space creatures arrived to the lair and few nights later every non-dragon in the lair started to act hostile among those Kronk's frog companions and both of his ambassador familiars Kronk having not been able to warn the another one to stay away. With his mouths in some kind of unnatural rage Kronk visited Ayla to have the helmet be taken off she just removing the jaw part. He asked if she knew what had gotten to the familiars but she had no idea and Kronk returned to guard the lair the spirits in the wood starting to act hostile too.

Things got worse from there someone in the clan being likewise made hostile they attacking a plague clan to get the clans almost at the war with each other. Kronk kept his eyes open as some plague dragons arrived clearly to attack from the inside if the war was to ignite Kronk preparing to act if needed. He also heard a lot of rumors about the events being Nemo's doing but Kronk disagreed not seeing how any of that would benefit her. Tension was high in the lair and Kronk kept his real status hidden from their visitors he seeing how they guessed what kind of threat he would be is the fight was to break. That luckily didn't happen and with the war avoided the clan returned to trying to figure out what was going on with the familiars.

Things remained as chaotic until after arcane's House Cup they got worse with leaders vanishing without a trace. As the clan looked for them Kronk also noticed that all of the ambassadors seemed to be gone too excluding Ayla and Glade and he started to get worried if she or he were safe. About Glade he didn't care and would have loved to see him in icicle. Not long after that Kronk was doing his usual tour around the border of the lair when an earthquake caught him off guard. He had been in his another form it being imperfect without the jaw part and had to take his normal form to not be crushed between rising earth pillars he was on. As the tops started to grow trees at rapid rate he jumped down only to notice having jumped on the wrong side of the formed wall.

The lair was on the other side of the wall and it not looking natural no matter how it was looked Kronk had strong sense that things were very wrong in lair. He tried to get to the other side using his ice diving ability but at the top the trees were so tense he could not get past them and freezing them was like fighting a hydra. As he tried to get past the trees he was all of a sudden teleported into the lair, to the old smithy were Ayla kept her shop until the new one was finished to be exact. There he was greeted by Shadow and Sapny who asked him to pay mind to the tree in the smithy. Using magic portals they then showed Ayla being trapped by the trees roots the mages saying that if he didn't cooperate they would take her magic and let the tree kill her.

The mages had already taken magic from almost every other ambassador, excluding Glade who worked with them, and Kronk feeling they didn't need any more power submitted to them. With Blacksnake he was tasked to stop everyone from outside from reaching the lair Kronk trying to find ways to stop what they were doing. He wasn't sure if he should be happy or afraid of lack of traffic but upon seeing Itameri with a group of wind dragons approaching he wished they had not come.

Blacksnake failed to stop them and Kronk entered the stage he managing to battle better with his ice breath. He was scared about Itameri being there and upon managing to press the water ambassador against the ground he asked why he had come he being a prophet and most likely aware of what was going on in the lair. Kronk didn't get an answer nor did he care about that. He demanded the pearlcatcher to leave as soon as possible the mages most likely wanting his seer gift. He managed to convince the ambassador to turn around but when he later saw Sapny with Itameri's wind dragon companions, now in stone, he had feeling he had not gotten away.

Kronk hated the situation and after seeing leaders fly above them with reinforcements he decided to join them when they were to act keeping his act up Blacksnake being sure the mages were spying them. He and Blacksnake sneaked to the group as they saw them move towards the lair few days later Kronk noticing some of the reinforcements to be from the ice domain. They were the key to getting through the tree wall Kronk helping them they managing to get past the wall just as the Sun was eclipsed. As that happened a wyvern like entity appeared from the ground its power forcing everyone to bow the entity asking everyone to submit to Them. Kronk was not going to do that as long as he lived and the entity forced him to attack nearby dragons before its control was hindered by convenient turn of events.

With being again free Kronk joined rest of the dragons as they started their attack against the mages Kronk targeting Sapny. He took his alternative form to increase his speed using that to catch up with the nocturne and hinder her movement but he was unable to hit her. She either shielded herself with earth pillars or dived into earth to avoid attacks Kronk using ice to return the favor. The battle had been going on for some time the form causing Kronk to run out breath and he took a rest the others bombing the earth mage with their spells. As everyone tried to avoid spells from hitting them the spells flied without a target when they were reflected Kronk being mindful of that. Young ice dragons also was but they clearly had no battle stamina and their movement was getting slower while their head still believed they could battle. They both saw an earth spell coming towards them and Kronk seeing the younger dragon would not be able to dodge jumped to shield them turning into stone himself the spell hitting his exposed side.

Once he was unstoned Kronk was greeted by Ayla, few earth dragons and the dragon he had shielded they apologizing what had happened. Kronk just nodded before remembering there were a lot of ice dragons and he needing to check them asked Ayla to get his status symbols she returning to the closet in her stagwing form as fast as she could. As he waited Ayla to return Kronk found the one leading the ice dragons there asking them about the status the two having met in the Fortress once before. They chatted updating each others about the statuses they sharing their work as Ayla got the symbols for Kronk.

Walking in the lair with the symbols felt weird and it felt even weirder to have his frogs back doing talking to him even when he could do that himself. Kronk was the only ambassador in the lair who had dragons to guide Ayla having no one she helping with healing, Glade had been made a criminal and everybody else was unable to work and Kronk felt anxious not having others show him example. He though did the best he could the frogs encouraging him as did Ayla she helping a little.

The ice dragons were the first group to leave the clan fully after the incident and Kronk felt good to be able to take off his symbols. Once the clan started to get to its feet the true impact of the Shade mages' attempt came to light the clan having lost one of its healers as well as their jailer Luna. Though already having two jobs Kronk volunteered to act as jailer it being natural for him as ice dragon and his other jobs, and the jailer job, being easy he could manage all three of them. It wouldn't even be that hard Halti sharing the job in memory of his sister. Funnily enough their first prisoner was the fire ambassador Tina Kronk guarding him all alone. The coatls hated each other more than words could describe.

Small pile of pale blue petals.

Life was peaceful after the Summoning incident and the Crystal Cave, clan’s prison, remained empty like usual. Kronk didn’t even need to visit the cave while he was in the lair, and after every visit to the Fortress he searched for Halti to check if that status had changed. It never had. Finding the coatl was always more work than maintaining the prison was; he had helped the summoners a little bit and the clan now ostracized him for that which was why he spent his time hiding underground. Kronk did not accept what he had done either but he didn’t see point in being so hostile to the older dragon. Losing his sister and social contacts he had had was enough for a punishment and Kronk didn’t need to add to that.

Halti ended up leaving the clan after Pahatar and her gang tried to take over the clan by using dream manipulation and Kronk became clan’s only jailer. At first Kronk assumed Halti had turned against the clan that treated him poorly. He was disappointed but not particularly surprised, but then his assumption was proven wrong when he travelled to the Fortress sometime later. Mosaic had taken him to a port at the border of the regions where Kronk waited for a ship to take him further when he had seen two familiar dragons posting advertisements. Both Halti and Glenn had noticed Kronk though only the coatl reacted to that. He came closer and asked for a favor and Kronk, being stuck waiting, listened. Halti told he had not betrayed the clan; he was spying on Pahatar and he asked if Kronk could be his receiver. Pahatar now lived in a manor at the border and Kronk’s ambassador familiars flied past it. The coatl asked if they could deliver his reports to the clan. Kronk couldn’t promise anything and just said he’d ask the birds. Halti told where his messages could be found after which he returned to work.

Kronk’s two birds had been alright with getting Halti’s messages to the clan and Kronk had let the leaders know of that. For long time there was nothing worth mentioning, Pahatar and her gang just getting their lives together after leaving the clan. It took well over a year until the young maniac wildclaw acted, and immediately she seemed to go overboard. Kronk had spent the earth holiday in the Fortress and was sailing back home with the spirit of ice. As they had sailed somewhat near the manor, at least near enough to see the lighthouse, the spirit had flied to the manor to see if Halti had any messages. There was a letter and Kronk read it as they sailed to the north, and he read it ten times more just to be sure he had read it right.

Marjatta, clan’s mercenary, had been paid to steal something from the self-proclaimed chatelaine and they had done that with Richard and Finlande. It had not gone as planned, apparently. The trio had managed to steal a mirror, the wanted item, but they had been noticed, Lydia had gotten badly injured when she had tried to capture the thieves and she had then been turned into a weredog of sorts by Noonan’s treatment. Pahatar had not reacted well to that and she had placed a bounty on all three dragons, and the one having hired Marjatta, the bounties being so high Kronk was sure the wildclaw had accidentally written three extra digits to the end of the prizes.

Once Kronk reached the lair he went straight to the leaders who already knew of the bounties; Yannis, clan’s bounty hunter, had told them about them. Kronk gave more details to the older dragons after which he went to see Trooper. The bounties were so high there was no chance bounty hunters wouldn’t try to get one or all of the three. The old guardian had already asked the border guards to be ready for the hunters, Kronk had noticed the increase in defense as he had gotten home, and he had told the warriors to be ready in case someone got through. Kronk, as a guard, started to patrol the entrances and check anyone who got through, just in case.

The border guards were able to stop the bounty hunters that tried to get into the clan, at least thus far they had been able to. However, the ones that knew why the hunters tried to get in had no idea how to solve the situation and Kronk hoped the solution was found sooner rather than later. Night of the Nocturne had yet to start but the Fortress had already sent a message relating to the Crystalline Gala and Kronk knew he had to travel to the south to help with preparations, eventually. However, with more bounty hunters learning of the bounty of the three more and more of them tried through and Kronk was not sure if he was able to leave the clan.

Night of the Nocturne was just few nights away when a bounty hunter managed to sneak into the lair through the gate connecting the main lair and the Starwood lair. Kalani and Yannis had managed to keep them from getting much farther and Max had managed to petrify the hunter. Being the only jailer in the clan wouldn’t be a problem in normal situation but Kronk was currently busy with guarding the clan entrances and he had no time to keep an eye on a prisoner. They were crystallized but it didn’t mean they should not be under surveillance. Luckily Max, who had spent his nights brooding since his mate was killed, had time to spare and he took the job of a jailer, at least temporarily.

The bounty hunter was sentenced the following night, at least that was what Kronk heard as he had kept his post during the trial. Things though didn’t turn better as Finlande went missing during the following day and the clan was on high alert because of that. Kronk had not seen the skydancer in few nights and he had not seen anyone suspicious enter or leave the lair recently, and neither had his frogs. To make sure the other two stayed safe Kronk stayed on guard all the way till a conference meeting demanded everyone capable to take part. Kronk was part of the “everyone capable” and he made his way to the courtroom where he sat near the door keeping his eyes on it instead of the chairdragon in the front.

Kronk was not particularly interested in what the conference was about, he assumed it was about Finlande being missing, maybe the clan had figured out what had happened to her. That though ended up not being the main topic, though it did relate to it. The reason for the meeting was that clan’s five guardians demanded something, and that was to exile Naru. The young nocturne was the dragon who had captured and hidden the skydancer to seemingly break the walls of reality, and the guardians did not allow that. The nocturne tried to explain her actions as a way to keep the older dragon safe from the bounty hunters and someone asked why she had a bounty in the first place. The leaders had kept that knowledge hidden for safety of the three and Kronk, having turned to stand his side towards the chairdragon, decided to explain why Pahatar had placed the bounty now that it was public knowledge. As he explained that he, and his frogs, noticed that Naru planned escape and he prepared for that.

After the clan had done talking about the bounty they asked Undreg, Naru’s father, where Finlande was being held. As the wind dragon gave the answer Naru decided it was her time to go. Kronk attempted to stop her but the young mage had prepared for that and she petrified Kronk and Mani as she rushed out. Kronk had not been fast or agile enough to dodge the spell and all he could do was watch as Naru ran out with Silence and rangers close behind. Rest of the clan followed after the two petrified dragons were freed by mages Kronk being freed by Ayla. Outside the rangers returned empty-handed saying Naru had managed to slow them down enough to give herself time to leave with her prisoner.

After that clan’s situation started to calm down a little as the dragons with bounty decided to leave the lair. Marjatta moved to live with their pirate buddy while Richard decided to hide in clan’s first lair for some time. As the hunters heard the dragons they sought were no longer in lair they stopped coming, excluding the few that wanted to be sure. As the situation started to calm down, and Gala approached, Kronk had a chat with Max and Trooper about the jailer position. It had been quite an easy job but with what had happened recently Kronk was not sure he could take care of it with his ambassador job. Max was capable of doing the job and he didn’t have anything to do besides that, and the coatl ended up taking the jailer mantle from Kronk. After that tired Kronk rested for few nights before travelling to the south to help with the Gala. Hillo, clan’s travelling performer, accompanied him like he had done the year before.

Traits

Kronk is an ice snapper with green body that has vein like stripes from head to hip, yellow blue spotted wings and pale orange lines decorating his face, chest, legs and wings. He though has dark golden markings decorating his back and skin in whole being most noticeable on his wings where they emit heat out of his body. His spines and horns are more pressed against his body than with regular snappers but his tusks are bigger making him to look a bit like an saber tooth tiger with upside down jaw. His chest is massive and makes his head look very small in comparison. His claws grow a bit outwards and his skin is very thick protecting him from both cold and hot. He has common pale blue eyes.

Being a guard Kronk wears golden armor including gorget and belt as well as tail, leg and shoulder guards but that is not the most noticeable part of his look. That title belongs to his helmet, a heavy piece of apparel carved out of stone to be shaped like a dragon head to cover his real face fully. It has been painted to match the rest of his golden look and is decorated with red and greed feathers. It is made out of cold rock and makes Kronk's ice abilities stronger than what they would be without. The leftover stone from the rock is used in his wing guards that are similar in style to the helmet. Where the helmet strengthens Kronk's ice blasts the wings keep his lungs cold allowing him to liquefy gasses in air more easily to use them to attack his enemy. Kronk is also an ice ambassador and owns the regular symbols, emblem, tome and halo, but he either keeps them hidden, like with the emblem which is kept inside his helmet, or doesn't keep them with him at all unless needing to act as the ambassador publicly.

Kronk is very hard dragon to understand. His speech often sounds like he has a lot of bubbles in his mouth or has problems pronouncing words. To top that the helmet he wears and can't take off totally prevents him speaking making him near impossible dragon to understand. When being able to speak or when bothering to speak he not really caring about that he has strong North Sami accent.

Small pile of pale blue petals.

Kronk is caring towards his clan but is somewhat worried about outsiders and wants to make sure they are not threatening his home. He cares a lot about the safety of his home and even though not having lived there he also cares about the clans in the ice domain. He doesn't really care about dreams but instead prioritizes taking care of his home. He is dedicated to protect it, especially the ones not able to protect themselves yet, and worked hard to be able to do that. He doesn't really care what he has to pay for that because for him being able to protect home fully is the most important thing. He is also somewhat serious not usually understanding jokes.

Dedicated guard Kronk does not really care about social contacts. At the same time he however doesn't hate them and if he feels like needing a company he doesn't mind getting one. For him they though seem to be so very low priority that he is actually rarely seen interacting with anyone preferring to guard silently like a statue. Part of the reason, along with his ideals, is the fact he can't actually speak and chatting with his clan mates would be waste of time to all parties.

Because Kronk can't speak due to his helmet he has two talking frog companions given to him by Ayla. The horned frog Pahe and the desert rain frog Hyve travel behind his shoulder guards, left and right sides respectively though they hop off if they sense battle coming. The frogs are total opposites Hyve being kind, optimistic and humorous girl while Pahe is more rude, cynical and serious male. The two tend to argue a lot and have an unspoken rule to never come to another's side of Kronk. Though they speak for Kronk they can't read his mind and rarely share opinion with Kronk who ignores their words as long as they are not getting him into trouble in which case he shakes them off. What often follows is an argument where the two frogs try to figure out what the mute dragon wants. Kronk also has two birds supporting him with his ambassador job. Both Aanaar the spirit of ice and Ohcejohka the frostbite hummingbird are serious servants of the ice deity and they don't interact with Kronk unless delivering messages. They are never in the same place, if one comes to bring a message the other flies to the Fortress with or without Kronk's reply.

Small pile of pale blue petals.

Though not looking like that Kronk is very powerful ice dragon being able to pull elemental energies from the icefield to power his skills. He can't use spells but his powerful ice breath makes up for that. He has strong lungs and air pockets in where he is able to turn gasses in air into liquid and then shoot them with high pressure to his target. The temperature of the blast is so low it causes serious frostbites and has very high change of completely freezing its target in place. Along with cold liquid Kronk can also create cold wind which, thank to his strong lungs, can feel like real blizzard. He also has strong bite it being strengthened by his helmet and he is capable of delivering strong slams and butts.

The armor Kronk wears allows him to change his form to a long, more spiral like serpent with no wings or legs using the helmet and its leftover parts along with marks on the wings as base. Its mass is the same as in Kronk's normal form but it increases greatly his speed and agility. In the form Kronk keeps his normal ability to shoot liquid air but also gains a new ability that allows him to dive into ice similar fashion like shadow dragons can dive into shadows and he can expand the ice by moving in it. To use that ability Kronk has learned to both use his breath to freeze the ground and to expand his natural body temperature to freeze his direct surrounding. Not needing to change his mass allows Kronk to stay in the form as long as he wants but due to smaller lung capacity he changes form quite often to catch his breath.
A horizontal vine, bluish grey with small round leaves and muted light blue flowers in shape of an ice rune.
