Biography
Blacksnake was the middle child of his litter having an older brother and younger sister. Tikkurila having some neat skills was sent to the Observatory early on, Blacksnake himself having born with scales glimmering like nightsky with rare pale eyes and Hanako having almost mysterious faceted eyes Blacksnake believed they were destined for greatness and started to dream about being the leader of the clan. The clan’s current leader was an elderly mirror with nothing special going on and Blacksnake was sure he could take the crown by simply beating the battle veteran in battle. After leaving the hatchery he started to prepare for the duel of fates ignoring his sister’s notes that beating the elder wouldn’t make him the leader. Upon feeling ready Blacksnake went straight to Alfa demanding battle from him. The mirror and his guardian, Obsidius, just lied on the ground watching him as if they didn’t understand what he was asking. The dragons around them asked Blacksnake to rethink about his challenge, said he was not ready, said he shouldn't challenge the mirror. He though was born special and was certain he could beat the old dragon and ignoring their pleads kept demanding the battle. After quite some time the mirror finally got up and having accepted the challenge Blacksnake got ready. The mirror looked fragile and he was sure the battle would be over in no time. The mirror seemed ready and Blacksnake attacked missing his hits one after another. The mirror didn’t try to hit him back, he just dodged and Blacksnake felt he was mocking him. Not allowing that he tried harder missing yet again this time feeling sharp claws cutting his arms. The mirror didn’t stop landing hits one after another Blacksnake not being able strike back. Eventually he thought he got the older mirror and attempted to hit him with his weight but the mirror dodged vanishing from Blacksnake’s sight him being knocked out almost immediately. He woke after some time the mirror towering before him and Blacksnake realized he had lost, badly. He got up and left before too many dragons saw him in that embarrassing state and mad whipped a healer away with his tail as he walked past them they having arrived while he was out. He went to his nest to heal his wounds the biggest one being on his forehead. Hanako arrived with some healing items Blacksnake pushing her away as she tried to help. She told she had warned him about that and Blacksnake, still mad, remained silent. As he sulked Hanako started healing his wound ignoring his pleads to stop seemingly sensing he was grateful. Defeat’s bitter taste lingered in Blacksnake’s mouth and he was reminded by his scars. Being sure he was meant to defeat the mirror he decided to train harder and eat a lot to grow bigger. Hanako was still against the idea of battle but Blacksnake wanted to clear his name after that embarrassing defeat and didn’t back down from the idea of the rematch. Upon feeling like being ready to challenge the mirror again he marched to meet him who was just with his guardian. The mirror seemed to be more ready to battle than last time getting up almost as soon as he came to demand rematch. He though was stopped by the guardian who asked to battle in his stead pointing out the size difference. He didn’t look like much of a challenge and Blacksnake was expecting easy win over Alfa’s surrogate fighter. Obsidius was way bigger and slower than Alfa was and Blacksnake was able to hit him without problems. The issue was that the guardian had very thick skin Blacksnake feeling like he was hitting a rock. He was also strong stunning Blacksnake with lazy slaps and throwing him quite a distance when managing to grab him or just pressing him against the ground with his weight. He was heavy and Blacksnake had no chances with pushing him against the ground. The guardian though looked rather stupid and Blacksnake decided to try blind the older dragon and tried to hit his eyes with his nose. Obsidius though predicted that and grabbed Blacksnake’s nose between his teeth. Blacksnake tried to free himself and as he tried to make the guardian let go his nose it snapped. Shocked by that he left himself open for attacks and Obsidius grabbed him and soon Blacksnake found his head deep within ground. Being half-nosed was a huge embarrassment for Blacksnake and he hid few night pretending he was hurt even though he was not nearly as badly hurt as against Alfa, physically. His muscles were in pain but it was nothing compared to the pain his pride had. The nose was ugly looking like snapped tree branch and not wanting to look like that he found someone who could fix it. Vengel did beauty fixes in the clan and Blacksnake, upon seeing the fae, forced him to do something for his nose. Vengel was mad, apparently having bones broken, but Blacksnake was madder so he ignored his objections. Having already had two embarrassing defeats Blacksnake had to think hard how to beat the mirror and get the position that was rightfully his. As he was wondering that a mysterious cloaked fae introducing herself as Nemo came to meet him. She pointed out how he had gotten his tail kicked which Blacksnake wasn’t too happy about. The fae though didn’t seem to be mocking him and instead offered to teach him some moves. Smelling chance for actually beating the mirror Blacksnake didn’t think about his answer for long and accepted Nemo’s offer she telling him to meet outside the lair right after midnight the following night. The following nights Nemo taught Blacksnake all kind of tricks like using arcane magic to dive in and out of the ground, which was easily the hardest skill to master Blacksnake being barely able to sense the arcane energies being too hot-headed. She also taught him to use his wolf form, a magic mutation all three of his litter had, and to change the direction of gravity which he could use to turn himself into living weapon using his spines as blades as he circled. She also taught some basic battle skills which he practiced with her older student Silence. Blacksnake enjoyed battling and had dreamed of having a serious battle against Alfa for the crown. Nemo though didn’t seem to understand why he wanted the ”crown” not buying Blacksnake’s reason of ”being destined”. She pointed out that there were no signs indicating that he was meant to lead and even if he got the position what would he do? She pointed out that he could not battle just for fun nor challenge other clans as he would be overthrown. He would also need to organize things, basically do the things why he hated Tinker. Blacksnake had to admit that the old fae had a point and promised to reconsider his thought of leadership if he found something more interesting. Not long after that Tinker, who was leader of the clan simply because she looked like one, caught Nemo because the two had a big argument or something. It was so big that the clan held a trial against Nemo she having apparently quite a record. Blacksnake wasn’t really interested about the topic but was watching the show in case it affected his training with Nemo even though she had said it was finished. The clan was clearly mad towards the fae wanting to get rid of her no matter how. As the clan was trying to figure what they’d do with what they saw as their enemy Trooper asked to have a word. He explained something about defense sectors that would locate outside the lair and act as outposts he having wondered if Nemo and Blacksnake would both move into those to act as wall. Blacksnake was not sure what to say about being asked to move outside the lair like he wasn’t even part of it. Nemo explained that was because he was still too hot-headed and battle driven to live in the lair while Trooper explained that his role would be very important being the one to stop any attacks coming through his area. Blacksnake thought about what Trooper had said Hanako giving him an approving nod in the crowd. As a sector guard he would have meaning in the clan and reason to battle and he decided to accept the position. He was given the sector through which the main route to the lair went and Blacksnake felt proud having been given one of the most important areas to guard. He took his new job with proud and swore to not let any threats through. 
Blacksnake enjoyed his time as border guard though he was occasionally bored with very little traffic in general. If it was not for Rubikin or the gaoler spirit who offered good battle practice he would have started to regret accepting the spot as border guard. He occasionally also raced her sister when she walked through the wood to fill clan's library they being always fun. As border guard Blacksnake didn't usually interact with rest of the clan though he occasionally checked what was going on in there. However, after nature holiday Blacksnake's wolf pack suddenly turned against him they not listening a single word he said and even attacked him. That frustrated him greatly and he asked familiar expert Pinkapi what was going she having no idea. Things in the lair were looking as chaotic if not more than what in Blacksnake's wood he deciding to return there and kill every space creature he found they having appeared just before the behavior change. The clan life was getting worse Silence, who Blacksnake would not see do such a thing, attacked a plague clan seemingly just to lead the two into war. That was very out of character for Silence and more so when she didn't even show up in the lair to wait the war to start. Blacksnake wanted to ask what was going on in the mirror's head but he could not find her. Regardless the clan could not fight with all the familiars being already against everyone but not being able to do anything Blacksnake just prepared to potential war keeping his eyes open having heard his neighbor Skeleton had also started to act hostile. During the following weeks plague dragons arrived as visitors to the clan Blacksnake having a lot of close calls with dragons he was sure only wanted to attack the clan from inside like it was actually a threat in the state it was. The war was avoided Blacksnake being more happy about that as it would have been very one sided battle if it had happened. He lowered his guard a little bit but not too much the wood having two aggressive spirits causing problems. Though being ready for everyone he was not ready for the earthquake that he felt hit the lair. It was very unusual and fearing something bad had happened to the lair, or Hanako to be more specific, he rushed to the lair to see what had happened. Blacksnake though was unable to access the lair a giant wall having appeared out of nowhere preventing him from getting in. He tried to fly over it but the top of the wall was blocked by lush trees. Blacksnake tried to find a way in for quite some time before he was all of sudden teleported into the library where he saw two stone statues the wolf one being clearly Hanako. Shadow and Sapny, the ones behind the stone statues, forced Blacksnake to make deal with them: prevent everyone from outside from reaching the lair or have Hanako become like mindless servant to them. Blacksnake didn't want his sister to experience that and bowed ending up in similar situation than Kronk. Blacksnake hated the situation he was in but fearing the creepy eyed dragons were stalking him he could do very little. He though could not hurt Itameri or his companions as they tried to reach the lair he ending up being knocked out quite embarrassingly because of that. Kronk on the other hand tried to act against the Shade maniacs and warned Itameri about what was to come. That didn't save the water ambassador but that inspired Blacksnake and after seeing Tinker bring reinforcements he decided to break the deal he had made with the mages and joined the leaders when they were marching towards the lair. Reaching the lair was a huge challenging the wall being as sturdy as it looked. They eventually managed to get through and upon landing Blacksnake was ready to charge towards the mages for what they had done to his sister. However, before he could do that the Sun was eclipsed and something forced Blacksnake to bow as a wyvern appeared from the ground. The wyvern asked Blacksnake to submit to Them but Blacksnake being in bad mood cursed the wyvern They forcing him to hit nearby dragons. It could have gotten bad but Blacksnake's gaoler friend came to help she and another wyvern managing to free Blacksnake from the wyvern's control. With being now once again master of his own bones Blacksnake rushed to capture the Shade mages Shadow happening to be the closest. The mage though was hard to hit she constantly teleporting and throwing magic at the dragons trying to get her captured the amount of dragons attacking her not helping Blacksnake with his close range attacks. In the middle of the battle Blacksnake had many moments when he thought he got the mage only to be disappointed. After probably tenth such a moment he was once again turning to face the mage after a missed attack when his eyes noticed a magic bolt coming to him too late for him to dodge. Blacksnake blacked out as the spell hit. He later woke up in busy healing offices and upon realizing where he was he got up and started running towards the library being able to avoid the foreign healers thanks to his wolf form and ground diving. He arrived to the library just in time to see Hanako get back to normal he almost causing them both to fall as he rushed to check her. She was unharmed despite having been in stone for so long and Blacksnake decided to return back to his job as soon as possible. The mages had gotten away while his pack had gotten back to normal Blacksnake wanting to pay to those who had gotten into their head.

  Name origin: Originally, because of his pink wings, Finlandia wanted to name him "Pink Dragon" after a character from Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin but realized spaces won't do in name so she named him after another character from the same group as Pink Dragon, that being Blacksnake.

Traits
Blacksnake is an arcane ridgeback with black body having paler markings on darker areas, pink wings with paler dots and black edges and veins, glimmering black belly and spines, which he is very proud of, and eyes of rare pale tint. He has very sharp spines that are largest, almost massive, at his neck and get smaller as they go down his spine. He uses his spines as extra claws when fighting and enjoying to fight he has many scars decorating his body biggest ones being on his shoulders, hind legs and forehead covering his eyes. He has impressive chin especially when compared to his nose that has snapped in half during battle. The remaining nose has been filed to be sharp but too short to have any use. He also has dark grey rounded horns he has grown with magic to improve his balance and help with concentration. Blacksnake wears very light outfit both because heavy armor would hinder his speed based battle style and because it would hinder his transformations. He has dark grey fur decorating his legs which both protect them a little bit and turn his legs fluffier when he takes his wolf form, dark armor pieces protecting his tail and shoulders and black banner that is only worn to make him more intimidating like are the simple darksteel pieces on his wings. All of the apparels disappear when he is in his wolf form but the leg furs and the banner make his neck and back fur more dense and leg furs a bit longer. Blacksnake has strong and deep voice and he is known to shout a lot. His speech is usually very aggressive and even provocative if he is feeling threatened though it has its rarely heard softer side. He has aggressive Japanese accent.
Blacksnake is aggressive and hot-headed dragon often wanting to solve situation with brute force. He enjoys fighting and is willing to challenge and accept challenges if he sees potential in them being good fights. He has a lot of faith in his skills but he isn’t arrogant and though glorifying violence he has his sense of honor and won’t battle many versus one unless absolutely needed. He believes he is special at least at some level and doesn’t believe he needs to cheat because of that. His sense of specialty is also the reason why he doesn’t get along with dragons having authority. Blacksnake isn’t really interested in other dragons though he still prefers having company over being alone. He isn’t that liked company him being hot-headed and prone to fight physically if that is possible. He has very little interest towards others’ well-being his will to protect coming from will to fight more than from will to keep others safe. He is also known to be a bit dismissive towards females though his sister Hanako is very dear to him. For him she is part of his special family and thus worth protecting unlike others who are not. Blacksnake has his wolf pack in which he is the leader. The pack, which he considers important for him, consists five wolves, Kurotora the black wolf, Fuga the gale wolf and Reima the umbra wolf as well as Hyoma the dusky dreadwolf and Gaia the dreadwolf rimestalker who joined later. They act as pack guarding the area they were named to guard being often separated in order to keep an eye on more areas at once. Kurotora is the most loyal if a little quick-tempered and is usually with Blacksnake jumping on trees while the more mischievous and secretive ethereal wolves move together among the plants. The dreadwolves usually move with one being on the ground while the other one is on a tree the more hot-headed Hyoma often being the one on the tree while the more prideful Gaia walks on ground. None of them can speak but they don’t need to Blacksnake having authority over them, although both Hyoma and Gaia tend to question it at times the latter especially. They understand limited amount of speech which doesn't matter that much as all they need to do is understand what Blacksnake is saying which they do. Though being above them Blacksnakes considers the wolves as part of his family and everyone hurting any of them is automatically his enemy.
Blacksnake lacks the conventional arcane skills but has some unique ones instead. He can’t levitate items or change their sizes but he can dive into the ground and emerge from there as long as the ground has high enough concentration of arcane magic which even in the Isles means only the Focal Point and the floating islands. He can also alter his own size mostly to shrink so he can move among trees usually by jumping without breaking the trees with his actual weight. He can also alter gravity for short period of time which allows him to curl up and act as spinning blade. Though lacking experience Blacksnake is decent battler being able to use his skills in combat along with regular strikes. Blacksnake and all of his siblings have experienced a magical mutation that has given them all all kinds of powers all sharing power to turn into canines. Blacksnake’s canine form is a wolf which contains his scars and basic coloring being mostly black with very pale pink, almost white wing patterns on his back and thick fur on his legs, neck and back being affected by his clothes. He keeps his ability to speak when in his wolf form and can also stand on trees and jump between them which he can do in his dragon from as well. He can’t, however, use more magical abilities when in this form. He can change between forms at an instant. |
