I am so excited to be able to have new folks playing our game! Dagrons for everyone!

We check how many scrolls went into/out of your account. :-) If you're owed more, we reimburse those unless you specifically say "I'm only unhappy about X number of these" in which case we reimburse X number.

We've had a several folks both over and underestimate.

And as a note, reimbursements are still rolling out. :-)

This is an entirely valid question! The answer is very complex. Growth, expansion, and improvement of the site are very much items that are in flux and always changing in priority, but always progressing. We understand that there are some issues still, and these are not being ignored - trust me. We've got lists. Truthfully, though, many of the things that are active issues are deeply-seeded and affected by more factors than many people (including us!) realize. We kind of have to play a balancing act when running Flight Rising, because while we want to fix everything for everyone right away, it's not as simple as that, and is not going to be a quick process. In the mean time, we would rather not completely stagnate the experience of those who are playing by not allowing new people to join. General attrition and new people are part of what help a community grow, mature, stay interesting, and stay refreshing. Even though the site still has some rough edges in places, we feel like cloistering it for so long is not conducive to helping it improve. In order to better manage our data, for instance, we have to have an idea of how many people are interested, and how much strain the site can be put under. We have to know how many people are coming in to better plan systems and features. As you all saw, the familiar problem (which had never been an issue before), was experiencing some significant strain due to volume. It took that volume to optimize that system for scalibility, and it's in a much happier place now. There are many spots like that left, that will require a bit of pressure to bring to light.

I would like to reiterate that we, as the creators, are still 150% committed to improving Flight Rising each and every way we can, and at the fastest speed we can. We will never be "finished" improving Flight Rising. We will never stop looking for places that can be optimized. For lack of a better phrase...

@Umbra Pearl, Edgar, and Spitfire are courier dragons. They're not tied to any one clan or flight. The courier species is not available, but their lore is that they are considered by all the dragon flights to be a neutral party. They will ferry packages between territories, and are USUALLY given free reign to do so. Attacking a courier dragon is a grave offense.

They were available as rewards for those who backed our kickstarter at certain pledge levels. No more are being released, but it's still possible to bring Imperials into your breeding pool by getting a hatchling from someone who has one. :-)

We're trying to work around Lightsky's schedule, as they normally work within standard business hours. A future window we may be able to do evening, but for now, this is the best time for us to do a new reg window and monitor how the server handles the new peeps. :-)

After monitoring the stability of Flight Rising since our last registration window, we are happy to report that we will be opening the gates again for another window! The next window will take place on:


This window, as you may notice, is 6 hours long rather than 3. Our goal, over the coming weeks, is to continue increasing the durations of these windows gradually while monitoring the site. Our hope is that by doing so, we can spread out the perceived volume enough that people are eventually registering at a more gradual rate, which will be healthier on the load. While we don't have concrete dates or plans for subsequent windows, the team would love to make them more consistent until the gates are open permanently.

We have been working with LightSky closely to refine the registration process so that if heavy load causes any part of the process to fail, users will be notified. We had several players not make it in last time even though they received confirmation e-mails, and are looking to prevent that in this window.

Male mirror rose tiger is borked and looks like maize. I will be correcting this in the future, but the photoshop file with the mirror M tiger gene is proving elusive to find. :-/

I'm afraid that I don't know what would be causing this. I have tried testing this in firefox (and chrome) on two separate computers and both log in fine.

The following may help troubleshoot for you:

• Could you please check and make sure that your version of firefox is up-to-date?
• Could you try emptying your cache?
• Are there any addons you've installed recently? If so, try disabling them one at a time to see which one is causing the issue.

We're working on getting them out each day. M-F should see 25-75 new peeps each day seeing their reimbursements.

We send out an e-mail when the reimbursement has been issued. If we are unable to reimburse for some reason, you will still receive a reply to your ticket via e-mail. Silence either means that it went to your spam folder, or we haven't serviced the ticket yet.

New content, additional features/tweaks to existing features, and bug/compatibility fixes are something that we will always be working on. So these changes are not the end-all for our plans for the site. :-) Constant WIP.

When the achievements are back, things like gathering will be able to be done retroactively. Gather away!

The breeding for specific gene/egg count achievements are likely not be able to be done retroactively, nor are the ones that require specific combinations of items in your inventory (Chess set, orphaned eggs, dolls, ect.) So when achievements are turned back on, you'll be awareded the achievements for chess set only if you have the complete set in your inventory at some point from that point forward.

The Mire will be the next venue to be released. I don't have an ETA on it, aside from "Soon?" :-)

I'd also like to quickly add that economical changes are best implemented gradually so that you can monitor the results and keep doing things that are healthy. Large, sweeping changes right away could be like taking a sledgehammer to the ground floor of a building made of glass. We will continue to refine Flight Rising over the course of its life, but the process will likely be bit-by-bit. :)

@Takora It awards bonus treasure if the dragon being exalted meets any of the criteria.

As an example, today if you exalt a fae dragon you'll get the normal exaltation value + the exaltation bonus (because fae's are the daily breed.) So an additional +2500 for each fae.

Updates & Fixes:

• The issue that caused many familiars to require multiple bond attempts has been resolved.
• Dragon energy now falls at a rate of 1 energy every 6 hours (up from 1 every 4). As a result, dragons should now require 2/3 the food they previously did.
• The Snapper F pink underbelly gene now displays correctly.
• The clanbound scatterscroll reimbursements are now rolling out.
• Rewards for all Kickstarter backers who backed at the button or bestiary reward levels are in the mail. The first wave of rewards for backers of "All the Things and more" has shipped out, with the second half due for shipment early next week.

@Amadeus We have another 175ish tickets from the 29th left to service, so it's possible that we haven't gotten to yours yet. (the bulk of the tickets that we received were on that first day) We'll be addressing them in the order that we received them, it just might take a little bit longer. Apologies for the delay!

The clanbound scrolls are now rolling out. Quite a bit of the compensation process has to be verified by-hand, so we're working through these as quickly as possible in the order that we received them. Currently we're still on tickets that came in on the 29th.
