When I access the site via http://flightrising.com I will not get the login pop up. When I use just flightrising.com I can login without a problem. I also use FF. I also can't load the Coli or games if I use http:// in the address bar.
Interesting. @Akiri ?

Interesting. @Akiri ?
It's a good lead. I'll see about it.

I had the same problem as discribed by the original poster. It happened to me after I installed a program which was supposed to help me control Flash and Java-script on my browse by blocking them until I agree to allow them to display (The plugin didn't work as expected so I removed it.) The problem with the plugin continued even after disabling it until I reinstalling firefox, then it was finally solved.

I don't really know how the login function here on FR works, but I was able to log into other sites while the problem existed. Maybe Dien is having a similar problem with some plugin used to control websites?

@ Kaldravv: I've installed no such plug-ins (or add-ons of any kind) in well over a month, and my problems began only recently. :-\ Thanks for the suggestion, though.

As a note, I've tried several of the other things suggested here (logging in from the coli page, or flightrising.com rather than the http:// url. None it has made any difference.

I might go for a reinstall of FF at this point, but meh. For me, it's just an inconvenience, since I can still access the site via Chrome, but if there's people who can't login at all that's a bigger problem.

...welp. Prior to a re-install of FF, I went ahead and cleaned out cache and cookies once more, and made sure this time to also select 'Site Preferences'. I don't know if that was the magic bullet, but, I can now log-in normally via FF.

*SHRUG*

So, my problem seems fixed, at least. IDK if it'll work for anyone else.

(...amusingly, I seem unable to post to the forum using FF, though, despite being logged in. I'm typing this from Chrome.)

Well, since I've now had Firefox access again...

Some things are working in FF, some are not. I can Gather Items and Feed Dragons and Incubate eggs just fine; I can't do Pinkerton's or Crim's. Clicking the buttons produces no response in FF, so I have to switch over to Chrome again to do that, just like forum posting.

@Dien
You might want to try updating your version of Flash. The reason I say that is because both of those pages (Crim's and Pinkerton's) change without actually taking you to a new page, so they probably use Flash.
Granted, I'm not a web coder, but no one else seems to have said anything, so I thought I'd give another idea!

Best Luck!

@ Kaldravv -- Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I've discovered multiple other things since that FF seems to be inconsistent on: one day it lets me feed my dragons, another day it doesn't, with no rhyme or reason I can tell... *bemused*

We'll see if updating Flash helps.

I'm using just flightrising.com in the latest version of firefox for my OS and I've never had this issue.

So it's not a universal firefox issue, but I hope it resolves for the people it effects.

@Dien &others,
Check if you have caching in your browser. I mean some browsers make offline copy of site. It is sometimes default (for example in Opera).
When clearing cache etc., check cache, offline information and site's preferences (I don't know how it's in English versions, I just try to translate those by myself).

Also check if you have javascript enabled. (*looks at settings* For some reason I can't find where it is in Firefox... strange, I thought I knew it... maybe it changes with one of actualizations.)

And cookies. For some reason some sites are sometimes adding themselves(?) to exceptions and are cookies from them are always allowed/blocked (for example I added exception for 9gag - it should be always blocked... but when I visit it, it keeps unblocking itself and it's cookies are always accepted by my FF...).

@Kaldravv, no, Trading Post is normal map (old html function) with javascript.
FR doesn't use Flash (only for music in games, but games themselves are html5 & javascript).
And those sites reload normally. Even url changes.

Aaaand...
flightrising.com = http://flightrising.com
It is not different. In newer browsers http is usually hidden because it's default protocol.
Only if it's https://flightrising.com, it's different - https means secure http.

Now I'm using FF24.0 (newest one) on Windows Vista with useragent set as FF14.0 on Win XP (if I remember correctly). And it works.
