Razael winced when Cantor spoke up about the Raphael's injuries, looking down. Right. Perhaps the pearlcatcher had caught onto how bad this could be. He listened to what he had to say about the school, causing him to smile a little. He wondered if Cantor would like to visit, if only briefly, to see the school itself. The hoverview vales tethered down for outdoor classes, the twisting crystalline structure over the river near the Starwood Strand... and the beasts that lurked in the ruins of the city he'd once called home.

"Well dear, if you ever find the chance to drop by, there are classes aimed for grown drakes!"

He looked at the dragons who had gone with them so far, thinking about what Cantor had to say. He tried to not be obvious as he glanced at the guests around them, then dropped his own voice to a whisper.

"Reminds me of sleepwalking, in a way. But I did notice... I think one of them was floating along, actually. Makes me wonder if they might be hiding something. One of our scholars hides her failed invisibility spell by just... wearing an entire wardrobe. She's the one to take guards in training out to test themselves in the more dangerous walks of Sornieth, but appearing as a pile of clothes to opponents... well, it works for her, at least. Hochmael listens to Parvuil, noting the tundra seems to know what he's talking about. He nods to himself, remembering the two coatls who worked with him in the guard. That, as well as... well, that little fae rarely made herself known, but when she did, it was almost always with word of the calmer dead and how they were faring. One could very easily become lost on the other side if that was how they chose to speak. A certain pallid imperial came to mind, albeit briefly, before he shook his head.

"Binding magic, and illusions. I can't help but recall one of the scholars back home with that. He'd have a field day here, just trying to outwit the locals."

He shakes the thought away with a shiver, looking at the stalls closer. It reminded him of warnings often whispered in the Starwood, remnants of the Tangled Wood faction that had made the move to the arcaneflight some time ago. Never give your name, never accept gifts, and for the love of the eleven never insult the locals. He sighs to himself as he catches sight of trace threads of magic. So very similar to Zerah...

"You're right though. Magic everywhere with this place. As for speaking with the dead... I know there's more than one approach to it, but each has it's dangers. Probably best to stear clear of it unless you're willing to risk your own life, or perhaps sanity, in the process. Sometimes, there isn't even a trace of you left to mourn if you fail."

He knew all too well how such magic could go awry, how it could twist drakes into something even the Eleven would falter at. It truly was best to do your research first, if you should even do such a thing at all.

Now, walking through the carnival, he can't help but regret those words a bit. His somber clothing usually helps him avoid attention, but here, he stands out like an inkblot on an otherwise bright painting. Day 5

With the help of the healers, Rogue was able to get back into decent shape. He was grateful for Hochmael's assistance, though his words echoed in the back of his head throughout the evening.

When Pravuil came to thank him, Shun just gave a curt nod and grunt in turn. He didn't think it was anything to really thank him for in particular, but he didn't completely dismiss the notion.

When Father Herald finally showed up once more to give the group their next destination, Shun couldn't help but feel a sense of disdain of where they were headed. The circus was not something he wanted to really go to. He did not have a good feeling about this in the slightest. The mirror had no interest in engaging with the shenanigans of the circus itself; he was just there to investigate.

He decided to enter the ring, as he sensed there may be the most trouble there. There, he spied Calodorn and Mameluke, silently observing both for a short time before shifting attention elsewhere.

It was probably a little bit of both, he figured. After considering his options, the Gaoler decided to go to the Carousel.

As Konstantin noticed Hochmael and Pravuil there, he dipped his head at the two as a friendly greeting.

Cirque Macabre Conway
Cirque Macabre Gunnar

When given choices Father Mimir thinks it's best to split up to cover more ground. He also reminds the two to keep a sharp eye out. There is a chance of seeing familiar faces or familiar names. Gunner tightened him pen as he nodded in agreement.

Conway volunteered to check out the ring. Choosing his outfit based on some fellow jesters he thinks it could help him blend in.

Mimir chose the carousel. He also wanted to see if the carousel may be hiding beasts, like how the Witch Flame's have a "living" carousel.

Which left Gunnar to the carnival. Shiny lights and various games and food could be rather fun! But remembering Father Mimir's words, he'd need to be careful.
