______ Cold. Emptiness. Void. Asphodel was lost, lost somewhere free of warmth or colour. A cool grey haze floated around them, and their feet stood in a shallow, chilled river. Death. Asphodel was beyond the veil. But no! They were not ready to go! Their soul struggled against the slow, relentless tug of the river, struggled and called and resisted.
______ And help came. Korvax heard the cry of this lost soul and wrapped them in his power. The next few moments were a confusion of light and swirling colours. And heat. Oh, the glorious heat of life! Asphodel was reborn, and they would not waste this second chance.

Started as Giraffe/Daub/Underbelly/Uncommon. Giraffe to show the dry riverbank from where she was forged. Daub to show the trails of sooty grime she rose from, trailing in the river. Underbelly to show her ties remain connected to the river itself, never able to stray too far from it's banks. Uncommon eyes to show the brilliance of life given to her for her second chance.
Became Pinstripe/Stripes/Capsule/Unusual on her first trip back beyond the Veil. Pinstripe to show the flow of the river around her before she found the lands beyond. Stripes to show the streaks of darkness along the edge of the riverbank, threatening to pull her back in. Capsule to remind her of the border she crossed, the murky river itself. Duller Unusual eyes to show a fading light as her purpose is found on the side of the Veil she was pulled from.
Became Ground/Sarcophagus/Glowtail/Rare when she made the decision to live her life observing the Veil from within, with few forays to the land of the living beyond her meadow and the river of her birth. Ground to show she is of the land of the field itself. Sarcophagus to represent the shades she watches over, even if she cannot draw them out herself. Glowtail to serve as a light to guide those with their own power to leave, if they so wish it. Rare eyes to show how the darkness in her field has affected her.
