"Hmm this could be an easier role than I thought" thinks Incarnate as she readies herself to Contuse again as soon as she is able, carefully staying behind and out of sight of all three heads. The guardian is already striking the Emperor with her fins and Incarnate is glad that at least any damage inflicted by the Emperor from now on will be slightly reduced until it frees itself of the Contusion buff. With all of her magic stores spent on that one electrical discharge, Murasaki begins to falter, using the last of her physical strength to glide and intercept her psywurm before it hit the ground. She floated back down to earth like an autumn leaf, hoping that her target was blinded for long enough for Marsala or another dragon to take over. X
Despite their inexperience in battling, Marsala along with Incarnate and Murasaki were able to work together to help the other stronger dragons knock down the Light Emperor.
Thankfully the Wind one had already fell, making the rest of the fight easier. The Fire Head was persistent but with enough force, the Emperor finally collapsed.
Marsala had given out all her Health Potions, but it was worth it seeing no one was terribly injured. She smiled at her companions, those around that fought for everyone’s safety. Many must have been terrified so she’s grateful for their bravery. Any one of them would have her support should they be crowned.
She had lost her crown at some point, a quick scan shows it does not seem to be around. Marsala doesn’t mind being crown-less for the time being, though she hopes she'll find out where it is. Lest she gets in trouble for losing such an object.
She won hers the day the Emperor attacked and lost it the day they defeated them.
Perhaps that’s a sign.
More importantly, she saw Lily running towards her, carrying a Fae hatchling by the scruff. “Oh thank goodness, you’re both okay!” With the Emperor down, injured and trapped dragons started calling for help. Other hatchlings popped up from their hiding spots. Marsala went around, scooping up any dragons, young and old, that she can carry. Those hurt were soon healed by mages. She had prepared to make a long trek back to where the worried civilians were gathered, when instead they arrived here.

Some had already began to clean up the mess while others were reuniting with families. The guards and other who had escorted them back were keeping a watchful eye on the now comatose Emperor while the citizens mingled. Zicatela decided now was a good a time as ever to take the children to the crowd and try to find their parents. X
Speaking of which, Lumi was nearby and spoke up again, apologizing for his actions. His fate is now determined by the successor, so whoever they are will hopefully listen to other dragons and make the right choice.
More news arrives, the event has been cancelled. It’s been changed to a public vote, leaving it to the dragonfolks to decide.
Honestly, Marsala prefers it that way. She will miss having the opportunity to learn more from the Daylight Sanctum and to prove her worth on a daily basis, but this is for the best.
She decides to visit Lanternlea Port to unwind from the events of the last few days, after saying goodbye to all the dragonfolks she has gotten to know here.
She’ll visit them again soon.
Maybe she’ll find the one there. Her charge. She doubts it though, she has a fondness for the quaint coastal village and has been there many times. Perhaps she’ll meet someone new, but she’s surrounded by so many dragons who are also heading for the Port.
She arrived for the event, all nervous, dressed up, and hopeful, but since then she hasn't felt like she's changed. “I don’t think I’m meant to be the Successor, Lily.” She confides in her friend as they prepare to make their way over to the village. “How can I be, if I’m not a True dragon?”
If Marsala was perfectly honest, she doesn’t feel like she is a half a dragon. It’s improper to think like that though.
She’s just been searching for so long.
She doesn’t know what to do.

Marsala’s having a little internal conflict, might think she’s cursed.
No biggie.

Do you think leaders are born or made?
She’s glad to see General Napoleon again!
“Made.” Marsala answers. “There are natural leaders and those who have been raised from birth to lead. However, anyone can be a leader so long as they have the desire to do so. They have to put in a lot of work and listen to those around them.
You have to learn how to lead. Learn to respect the opinions of others, have integrity, wisdom, compassion and charisma.”
