I just figured this would be a fun thing to do for casual lore updates, and thought it would be a great opportunity to have more casual lore connections/maintain bonds between out clans.

I am 100% here for this! Like everyone else has said, that's a wonderful idea! I will absolutely have Xinskarr and/or Yuu send a letter to Yazmine and Yolie at some point. :)

Reading the Mail Day post was a lot of fun, especially the message to Patches! I can't explain the grin I got on my face when I realized that Bahat was his father: something I hadn't noticed before. I haven't read to the point where he and Cecily get together yet, but it's relieving to know that they got a happy ending of sorts! You never know with a Pinkerlocke as it's presently happening.

@Wufflesnuff

You're at it again with my favourite Wufflesnuff threats!

@BarbaraFett

Awesome!!! I can't wait!!!

@Murvax

It's always beautiful when the dragons I have loved and written about get an expansive life outside of the locke, especially after the locke has ended. And it brings me so much joy to bring in descendants of previous clans into whatever my current pinkerlocke is!

Pisce was so in sync with their familiar now, she only had to think of where he wanted to go, and the slink would automatically teleport them there. It was thanks to this ability that Pisce slipped past Yolie keeping watch outside. The tundra had seen the conversation between the two of them, and watched Yolie decide to stay out. Time would tell if that was a helpful move, or a cowardly one. Pisce themselves did not have much respect for those who stayed out of the action, but it was not his call to make. Pisce himself was rash at times though, so they had no place to judge. Pisce watched as one by one, Yazmine dismantled any guards or traps, usually by use of fire, or by her sharp talons. That in and of itself was promising. It didn’t matter if you were seen as long as you could prevent someone from revealing your location. Stealth could be replaced by brute force and swiftness. It wasn’t Pisce’s style, but he had to respect it. Gradually, the guards and traps dwindled until all that remained was Crunch. The wildclaw strutted into the workshop like she owned the place. Honestly, she probably could if she wanted to. “Well, well, well, what have we here,” The snapper said, turning to face her. “Another intruder.” “Not just any intruder, Crunch,” Yazmine hissed. “Do you not remember the face of your former captain?” Pisce froze. What the hell did she think she was pulling? They did not think Zemira would take too kindly to this kind of impersonation. “Please, you can’t fool me,” Crunch rolled his eyes. “Really, you think I lost all my followers that day? You think I couldn’t pull together enough forces to be reincarnated?” Yazmine scoffed. “And you think I wouldn’t track down every single dragon who betrayed me?” There was a hint of fear in Crunch’s eyes, though he tried to hold a firm face. “I trapped you once with my technology, Zemira, I’ll do it again. I have nothing to fear from you.” What happened next happened so quickly that Pisce almost couldn’t see what happened. Even seeing it, she could hardly believe her eyes. All they were certain of was one minute, the two dragons were facing off. The next, Crunch’s head was on the floor. The wildclaw wiped the blood off her talons and set fire to the head until only a blackened skull remained. Pisce’s heart thudded in his chest. Zemira was not going to like this one bit, all she had asked was for Yazmine to steal something, and she had said on multiple occasions that she wanted to be the one to land the killing blow. Yazmine and Yolie had failed absolutely. With a magenta pop, Pisce disappeared to give the report to Zemira, before the twins returned. Pisce kept waiting for Zemira’s face to get angry as he relayed the story, yet there was not even a spark of fire as they spoke. Instead, it shifted to something of amusement. “Oh, they did very well,” Zemira grinned. “Normally, I would be furious at Yazmine taking that revenge from me, but she covered all her bases. She made sure Crunch died knowing why he was being killed. He believed he was being killed by my hands. Now, I wouldn’t let that slide every time, but she was trying to impress me. Colour me impressed.” “And Yolie?” Pisce asked. “She did nothing.” “Watching out for trouble is not nothing. Just because you can slip away easily does not mean other dragons can. A warning can save lives, and we’ve already lost one on this quest for Revenge,” Zemira explained. “And that loss cost us half our crew in the split. Just because someone is quiet and out of the way doesn’t make them any less valuable, you should know that, Pisce.” “Right,” Pisce supposed she had a point. “Now, go let them know they passed and teleport them to me. It seems as though we are due for a welcome party tonight. Goodness knows the crew needs a reason to celebrate.” Zemira grinned. “Very well,” Pisce said, disappearing in another shower of magenta sparks. Sure, he had pledged his undying loyalty to the Refuge and all that, but he was beginning to wonder if he had made the right choice. Now, he wasn’t going to turn antagonistic towards the Refuge again, that ship had sailed. They would always be an important ally to him. But he couldn’t help but feel he was betraying plague by staying in nature so long. The guilt haunted him, because truth be told, he did like it here. He liked hunting with Gaia, Estos and Adriel. He liked the sense of belonging he felt, something he had never once felt in his life. Even amongst Plaguemother’s Spurned, the clan of aberrations bound together by their discarded nature, the abandonment issues ran deep in a way that sabotaged true community. But still, that way of life had been drilled into him. You can’t trust anyone because they will turn on you the moment it benefits them. But that was not the way The Refuge ran, at least not until recently. Things were changing, now that Felix was queen, Bubo had been alive long enough to see the pattern. And he felt he owed it to the Refuge to stay longer to help them keep the sense of community Sage and Burns had fought so hard for. But still, Bubo was not sure how much longer he could stay in this flight with all the guilt that wracked him. It was further driven through his heart by the thought of Bluebell. Would she still be alive if he had left with her for the Scarred Wastelands when she had wanted to go? These questions would never have answers. And Bubo was thinking too much. He didn’t like thinking this much, it was a headache. Especially with two heads, that was twice the thoughts that could swirl around at once. Thankfully, he was pulled from his spiralling by a nearby scream. Now that was more like it. All thoughts gone from his head in light of the adrenaline coursing through him, he took off, following the sounds of shouts. To his dismay, he saw Skelly cornered by three unknown nature dragons. Bubo immediately clocked them as nature extremists from the Pox Consulate. Former underlings of Marmara, if he remembered correctly. Probably carrying on her hateful deeds. Keep an eye on them, Zemira’s command echoed in Pisce’s mind. If they want a test, we need to test them thoroughly

And so it was settled. Pisce would follow the two wildclaws as they pulled off their heist in Crunch’s house. It would be easy enough to travel around unseen with the help of Dimentio. The slink sat on the tundra’s shoulder. Pisce was so in sync with their familiar now, she only had to think of where he wanted to go, and the slink would automatically teleport them there.

If Ginny doesn't get a home, I'll take her. She'd be a great fit in The Carousel Horse tavern. I was really hoping we'd see more of her in the story =(

It surprised her, she had expected to loathe this plane until the day she died, but maybe it was just Starveil Circus. She had to admit, there was a certain beauty to the Feywild, and hearing her mother constantly talk about all the things she appreciated or found beautiful was beginning to shift Maria's perspective on the whole thing. In fact, the two were just leaving a friendly tea party with a group of veilspun. They hadn't stayed long, not when they had urgent business to attend to, but seeing her mother navigate fey etiquette successfully and having these experiences that did not end terribly was eye opening. "You know, I always hated the part of myself that was fey," Maria commented, feeling a weight lift off her chest as she spoke. "But now I'm seeing it may not be all bad." "What I have learned is that most things are not all bad or all good," Adriel said thoughtfully. "The Feywild has it's malicious intentions for sure, but it also has it's beauty. For one, it gave us you." The spiral regarded the doll thoughtfully. "I think you would have a lot more confidence in yourself if you harnessed the parts of yourself that you hate, and find ways to love them." "It's a lot easier said that done," Maria laughed hollowly. "Well, I have a few ideas," Adriel began, but before she could finish her thought, the pair where interrupted by a rustling in the leaves. Moments later, a familiar mirror burst onto the path, gasping for breath. "You have to come help. Things have gotten really really bad with David, and I can't get him out on my own. Please, you have to help. I can't return to the Refuge without him, I could never forgive myself." Maria instantly recognized the way that her mother's eyes steeled. It was the same determination she took on whenever she became invested in a new job. It would not fade until she had seen it through to completion, and next to nothing would dissuade her. Maria wished she could have as much confidence as that, but she also had a feeling that if she truly wanted to accept the fey parts of herself, she would have to face whatever the Feywild threw at her, good or bad, and take it all in stride. ----- Next ----- @Drachenschwinge @Dynami @Leopardmask @Sabariel @BarbaraFett @Disillusionist @Dakala @Wufflesnuff @Tirtouga678 @chippertowns @Aetherstorm @MisterMylez @harpyja @Calyrex @Gender @feleathion @queerkestrel @catmeow1 @Khyriana @CleverTrick @brandonjui @Crescentstar711 @sedge122 @Brasil @Lixue @DiamondDogg @GraceShelby1031 @VeniVidiVici @Jaspernoir @Glitchtrap @GingaSnap @aquaberyl @Pocketdog @lunarkismet @girlofSornieth @octagaze @Lightwolf57 @Volur @Murvax @SakuraSundae @RedSiren @Rainilith @NewmoonWasTaken @pancakeswithabs ----- The death streak was tails, so this was just a writing day! Whoo, I was beginning to wonder what'd happened with Hobart and co. Looks like we're gonna find out! I wish I could say that Catalina and the other fey are gonna get their tails kicked, but judging by what we've seen of them so far, that isn't really certain. [emoji=guardian scared]

A big part of the wait was that I needed to save up for something for David before he could be rescued, and he has it now, so it's time to rescue him!
