Theme Song: Opening Up - Waitress
Opening up
Letting the day in
Over a cup
We'll say "hello, how ya been?"
Looking around
Seeing the same things
Every day brings
"Hello, how ya been?"
"Thank you, come again!"
Some things never change

My child, your life cut too short
by others with fear and hate.
I shall lift you up, life anew,
to bring love and kindness in my name.
~Tidelord~
The words of the Tidelord rang in her head, like the chime of a glass when struck gently with a spoon. It drew her attention and encouraged her to open her eyes to the world around her. One blink, then two, and the world slowly came into focus.
She was in a dimly lit space, with only the first hints of sunrise peeking in. Yet, that little light glistened on the rows of tea cups in the cabinet that loomed over her, each unique and beautiful in its own way. Captivated by their beauty, she slowly drew herself up to look more closely at them.
Simple cups of solid color. Elegant cups decorated with floral ornamentation. Cups whose handles looked like dragons, beastclan, or fauna. Others that looked like an assortment of ceramic pieces glued together to make a stunning appearance like stained glass. Her eyes drank each cup’s beauty, savoring the qualities and colors that radiated from them.
When she raised a claw to grab an elegant white teacup decorated in blue painted waves, a miraculous thing happened – starting from her hand and then reaching across the rest of her body, her scales adopted the same white porcelain hue of the cup with splashes of blue spreading over her in unique and lovely patterns.
It was at that moment that she heard a crash nearby, and she turned quickly towards it. A rainbow hued Pearlcatcher, with a bewildered look on her face, had dropped her tray of dishes in surprise, their broken shards littering the floor around her.
“Oh…my…pearl… Who are you? What are you?” Zill asked shakily. “I don’t really know,” the Mirror replied softly, and she returned the cup to its home in the cabinet, her scales tinkling on impact, “Can you help me?”
“Oh…yes. Yes, of course! Hold on a moment!” and the Pearlcatcher turned back towards the doorway that she entered from and rushed out, “Fanfare, Calliope, everyone! Come here! You won’t believe this!”
