“i think i might have fallen in love...”
”...what am i to do?”

@addams Really lovely lair aesthetics overall, and so much love put into all the bios. october's a really gorgeous first sight. I just adore her color scheme and how it's carried through her whole page, those autumn browns are just sooo rich and striking on her coal. I love the pop of the accent on the wings too, in addition to the leaves. overall just a very fun take on the concept of fall. Shout out to all the love-themed names! But eros caught my eye immediately. One thing that struck me is how much a lot of these more pared-down customizations really work for me because it isn't usually my style. But here, the contrast of tapir/stri. and of course that utterly maddening capsule in perfect display here. The gladeboughs are just effortless, the stockings didn't even register as apparel because they fit so well, and I love a good earth spiral. nero's lore is just really sad, but that said, she's a rather gorgeous take on a ghost. Another pretty autumn aesthetic. Her accent really enhances the look not just with the obvious leaves but with the more subtle eyeliner making her eyes feel sunken and the black fade bits against the tert somehow making her a lil more faded and ethereal. she is rocking those rich orange tones~ eshe meanwhile is just a calm beauty. She is beautiful, perfect display of her genes in the breeze. I love the deep contrast on jaguar, I love the silkiness of capsule adding a new texture in the mix, I love seeing little-used stripes with that subtle but very gorgeous deep blacks on the wings. she is simple, and pretty with a pretty name. and a girlfriend to boot!!! oh boy!!! Your familiars have always been matchy but this in particular is a perfect pair. I love the soft blue accents against the warm tones, and I think it's actually refreshing to see how she has more.. greyish, not so high-contrast tones like with some of the other dragons here. no deep dark tones nor all pastel. very flowy and ethereal yet also.. earthy? grounded? like a statue of an angel but she's just the local baker. she's neat!!!

@Grovey So. First and foremost, I'm cheating. Because frankly, you have so many wonderful lizards in your lair, I can't simply keep it to just 5 of them. I kinda agonized over who to pick here, and ended up with 6 dragons in the final running and just couldn't decide which one to axe. So I'm just not going to. This is Top 6 Above You now. Anyway- Starting us off, Achoo here was one of the dragons I agonized over weather I should axe him or not. Like, I really really like what you did with him here. Like, he's wearing a Fest Skin that literally covers his entire body, which is usually something I really don't like since I personally feel like it kinda makes the dragon a bit less unique considering there could be dozens of that skin out there. But like, Achoo here? He makes it work for him somehow. The Primal wind eyes, the Bamboo Breeze Cape, the Spring's Breath, the Fiendish set pieces that just make it seem like he's practically oozing wind- It just looks perfect, and frankly, I love it. Kinda makes me reconsider my stance on skins like that tbh. Also the art in his bio is -chef's kiss- I love the first picture with him strolling through the field, its really adorable! Aaaaand here's the dragon I was pitting against Achoo over weather or not to axe them. Temperance really has something about her that scares me, but also draws me in. I mean, look at her! Frankly I don't know where to start. Her colors are interesting for sure, the last thing I would have thought to pair with Blood and Sanguine would be Mist, and yet, here we are, and it works! Then there's her apparel and, hoo boy, its a doozy. She's wearing a lot, but somehow, she doesn't look extremely cluttered like one might think. Instead it all kind of blends together and work to create this wonderfully spooky lady we see before us. There's also the matter of her accent, and frankly, its amazing. I love how horrifying it looks without resorting to anything gory. Also one detail I really like about her is the fact that she has Water eyes rather than anything else. I don't know, it just feels like dragons like these always get stuck with Plague or Nature eyes because those would be more "spooky" but I feel like the color of Water Glowing fits with her a lot more than anything else would! Next up, Akali. And I won't lie, I did pick her mostly because of that accent. What can I say? It looks good, and she's working it. Though, even below the accent she's a very interesting gal to look at. Cyan and Cerulean already work really well together obviously, but you add Fuchsia ontop of it with Stained, and the colors just kinda blend together in a really good way. Like, the accents in Cerulean Bee can almost look a little jarring without something to tie into them, so I feel like this is a really good look for her! And then you gave her the perfect apparel to make her look like some awesome gal in a Cyberpunk future, ready to rock and rumble and face whatever comes her way. I love her! Brew reminds me a lot of those old Deviantart sparkledog OCs, but like, in a really good way. She's almost nostalgic to look at in a way. I'm a huge sucker for Radioactive in general, since it has a good accent color and just a bunch of ways to be used with various genes to make pretty eyeburners, and I'd say Brew here definitely qualifies for that! I also really like her accent, which, again, brings me back to those old OCs with how it looks. You add onto that the silks you gave her for apparel, with more wild colors and those cute decorations they have coming into the mix, and she just super fun to look at. You go girl, cringe culture is dead and I believe in you. So, the moment I opened your lair, Rubidium caught my eye, and I just knew I had to put her on this list. Like, god, I love seeing people use the Invisibility Cloak, everyone gets so creative with it, and frankly, this gal here is also just a really good example of that. She really just looks like a suit of haunted armor came to life and began to live with a clan of dragons. Underneath the cloak she also looks super interesting, and I feel like it kinda fits with the whole "Ghost of the Autumn Wilds" thing! I also just realized that her ID is 3737373, and that her mate has the ID of 7373737. That's crazy! I love that little detail to bits! So, for my last, and possibly my favorite pick, Virtue might seem a bit unconventional. I usually prefer super bright eyeburners or ridiculously overdressed cool dragons. In comparison, Virtue might almost seem a little....boring. But frankly? It's that kind of plain and neat look that I adore on her. She's kinda calming to look at, in a sense. A spot of rest from the overwhelming experience that is your lair. She looks super cute with the beret and the glasses on her nose, dressed like she belongs in a library or in some sort of scholary position. Her colors and genes are also super super interesting like, I didn't realize at first that her Primary and Secondary were actually Phthalo! I really thought she was a solid Brick dragon or something, but nope, its Phthalo with Fire Stained overlayed. That's super interesting! Again, a really cool thing to do in my opinion, frankly Stained is kinda underutilized, I know I myself don't really use it just because I never bothered to pick up any dragons with it, and its not the kind of gene I would think to buy with gems of all things. But here this lady is, tempting me into buying a stained dragon just because she looks super interesting. ----- (To the next person: Please don't pick from my Arrivals or Projects tabs! I also have more dragons in my den!)

@GeoArchon your lair and your dragons have such strong personality!! (edit: oops, looks like I pasted one dragon pic twice. Fixed! Sorry for the double ping here) First off, I do get this reference at least in some distant memory. The menace of the character is a strong association & I appreciate the appropriateness of him being a triple royal. But I am picking him based on looks! I don't often see triples that manage to look so varied and interesting, but the hypnotic and the iridescent both add unique flavours without clashing. His few apparel pieces are also perfect: the face apparel to draw the eye, the candles to break up the purple just a little, and the cape for the sparkly shiny effect. He's a great dragon! Next I'm giving kudos to your icon dragon! An effective icon he does make, and I love how you've used the April Fools eyes to give him a different personality from most mirrors. The big shiny bishoujo eyes suit your lair! Besides that, I love the mess of colours and the prismatic silks are always a wonderful choice too. And the birds lol, I love the imagined chaos they add, it makes me imagine an energized and scatterbrained dragon who's incredibly friendly, but perhaps more easily understood by animals than other dragons The chromatic predator accent is OVERPOWERED, I have to say. Putting it on a radioactive dragon is only natural. His botanist lore makes perfect sense too; the teeth of the accent and the feathered hat both give him a rough outdoorsman vibe. Really it's the bright eyeburner colours that have drawn me in here, but they're unified by the green in terms of both appearance and lore. It's a great choice, giving this eyecatching dragon a level of depth as well~ Not to rank your dragons or anything but we're getting into my top two favourites here ;P while I love eccentric colours, my tastes skew towards balance and variation, so I love the flow of value and colour on this unnamed guy, and the striking two-tone theme that is broken up by the black towards the bottom. Even with no lore, I feel he tells a story, something about diving down through the brilliant colours of ocean fauna, to something darker and ancient, the metalwork of his mask evoking something refined but obscure. I saw you have a Hollow Knight fan dragon, so I'll even go as far as to compare him to Hallownest, particularly the Ancient Basin/Palace Grounds: the ruins of a shadowy, imposing civilization buried by a flourishing, vibrant world. Ok, maybe I'm getting too deep into the dragon analysis here ^o^'' mainly, he has very pretty colours & a pretty accent, with contrasting apparel that makes him stand out as particularly interesting. Wallace is my other top two! I adore how skink's accent colour matches the darker tones of the crimson toxin. The Dryad's Guise is a fashionable piece of apparel that is a great focal point on any dragon. I also enjoy how the reddish tones feel like earth tones next to all the green, it becomes an excellent use of complementary colours without making him feel like a Christmas dragon lol. And of course that blue is important too, giving more of that variation and uniqueness that I just love on dragons, making him pop more than a limited colour palette would.

@Clanthorn I love all of the different outfits in your lair, they're all so unique and interesting to look at! :o Wheal caught my eye first, I don't usually like brightly coloured dragons but he really appeals to me for some reason. I like dragons that commemerate part of FR's history, so the fact he was hatched for the colour expansion is really interesting to me. I like his lore a lot, you've gotta love fake it til you make it dragons! Also enjoying your use of the wild banner. Oml, his outfit is just perfect. I love how it completely contrasts his cold, detached personality too. Bogsneaks are an underrated breed so I definitely enjoy seeing well-loved Bogs with great lore and art <3 He wears that stupendous sweater stupendously and the necklace layering you've got going on is remarkable. All of that Plague fest apparel has been used so well together, and his familiar matches too! Also, all of the older genes he's got makes him really charming to me, again, invoking some FR nostalgia perhaps? His backstory is so sad though, can't imagine how devastating it would be for a Guardian to fail their charge... I find his Halloween-y colours adorable, such a fitting gen one for a RoR theme. I always enjoy reading the different lore reasons people give for their permababies. Pumpkin's is very interesting with those magical tattoos. Your plans for him look great, good luck with finishing him! The light blues and blacks give her a ghostly, spiritual vibe, especially with that ghost flame apparel. I also enjoy your use of the burlap apparel, again, some older apparel I don't see used as often anymore, but it looks great here! Her lore is pretty sad, you can tell she loves her brother a lot!

His colours are gorgeous and his apparel is spot on: it's such a good fit with his lore- he really looks the part of a smooth-talking trickster-type gambler! The magic cards in particular are perfect for him. I like the way the painted ghosts sit with his butterfly/wasp, it just looks really cool I think, and the cobwebs/antlers really add to his whole vibe. And what a perfect matching familiar! A pixel of a sailing ship floating on purple clouds, with a figurehead of a light purple skydancer dragon whose wings flow back across the bow of the ship.

Her name is unique and thus intriguing, its soft combination of vowels matching her soft color scheme nicely. Speaking of which, I love how pastel she is! Cream/pistachio is an unusual combination that is nonetheless easy on the eyes, and the choice to layer both scarlet and silver sylvan gowns to create a shade that matches her perfectly is very clever, too. A testament to good outfit planning, if you will! Lastly, her accent is well matched - both harmonious with her other colors and enough to add interest without being overbearing. And for the next dragon to draw my interest... another pastel! Celyn is quite the handsome coatl, if I do say so myself! Once again, you do a very nice job of designing an outfit that builds beautifully off the dragon's natural colors, the darker cream and purple gently offsetting the purple and cream brought out by trail secondary's addition of accent colors. I also really like how you brought in a light blue with steampunk apparel to accent the shade of blue brought out by white fade primary! In conclusion, the result is another lovely masterpiece. Simple. Elegant. Eye catching! Now, on to Issyt! With an aesthetic amalgamation of oranges, golds, and greens, this nocturn reminds me of a bowl of rainbow sherbet icecream. When it comes to apparel, 'less is more' certainly seems to be a ruling trend of your decoration style, and it's used to great effect! Issyt is a prime example of this, her few apparel pieces matching with her accent to ultimately make her genes and color scheme shine all the brighter. A personal favorite part of her outfit is the dragonfly wing of Issyt's accent, and the subtle way it blends in with her butterfly secondary to the point where it looks like a natural extension of the gene. I realize I'm on Dragon 4 and still barely scratched the surface of all the gems in your lair - there's so many dazzling dragons to see, and Beatrix is no exception! Blue and gold is one of my favorite color schemes, and Beatrix reminds me why that is every time I look at her. What's eye-catching about her outfit is that it all pieces come from different sets with very different designs, but still come together in one cohesive collective. From the simplicity of the mage's coat to the elegance of the starsilks and stardrapes, the whimsy of the jester's gloves to refined somber colors of her flowcrown and rose stockings, Beatrix wears it all and only profits from the results. And that's without mentioning the once again aptly chosen accent - one of it's great strengths, I think, is in how it evokes the feeling of a fine painting - a feat which is not overshadowed by the apparel, but made all the more notable for it. I have to say, choosing who to spotlight last was a hard choice, but I eventually settled on Percival! First off, I find immense satisfaction in the match between the patchwork secondary's cream accent spots and ivory scarf. Another thing I found nice, if not something of an odd minor detail to fixate on, was the echoing of the yellow spots on the brown patches of the secondary gene with the spots on the skink primary gene, as well as the further matching of cream stripes from skink to the cream patchwork accents, ivory scarf, and small roses on his apparel. Altogether, Percival pulls off a very cohesive and soothing look! That's all from me, it was an honor to look through your lair! Honestly it took a good amount of self-control to stop after 5 dragons - your lair has a great many beautiful dragons in wonderful outfits, and well-executed ones, at that!

@Dreambasket First off, I love your username; it's adorable! Everything about him is so light and playful: his name, his colors, and his outfit. He looks like a fun and mischievous guy I'd be happy to hang out with, and is very soothing to look at. I especially love the cat clinging to his tail; it looks as though it was trying to play with the feather tuft. I was also surprised to see Puff was an XXX Pistachio. The different shades of green you put into his outfit make him more vibrant and interesting to look at. Next, Indi! I'm a sucker for black and gold, and that combination works quite well here. I like that she isn't smothered in apparel: It shows off her tert, plus that accent, in gorgeous detail. Crystal, being an older gene, doesn't seem to get a lot of love nowadays, but it looks fantastic on her. With that accent, she almost seems like a statue slowly coming to life. There are also plenty of nice, minimal touches that help pull everything together, like the Sandwastes Sash peeking out from under the mantle, or the way her Ice Unusual eyes (another surprise, I thought she was Light for sure!) complement her secondary. She's a good case of "less is more"! Fireblade! Man, that's such a fantastic name to say aloud, with all sorts of exciting connotations: It could be a high-powered attack, a weapon name, or just something to scream to surprise your enemies. It works well as a name for this guy, too! Coupled with his outfit, at first glance I thought of him as a rowdy pirate. I love how upon closer inspection, there are hints of gentleness, such as the book at his hip and the little frog on his foot. The Airborne Parchment links him well with his familiar and scene, too. It's also really impressive how you've managed to put so much red apparel together. I noticed they're all from different sets, yet they match each other and Fireblade's secondary perfectly. Wonderful work! I tend to skip right over undressed dragons, so Vex is pretty noteworthy in that he caught and held my attention! That combination of colors and genes is very stately. The contrast between light and dark isn't jarring and makes him look suave and dignified. I especially like how matchy his primary and secondary are; I was so surprised to see that they're different colors. And the way his bright pink eyes stand out against his darker primary is very striking. And Astreyis! My word, this is a lovely dragon, and he suits his tarot designation well. The Starsilks give him such an ethereal beauty to begin with, and the accent and Gloomwillow Guide make him seem more mystical. He seems like somebody I'd be happy to encounter in a cemetery or a dark forest: Creepy places, to be sure, but seeing Astreyis' glow and lanterns would probably be a welcome relief. I also really like how the placement of his apparel and accent makes it look as though he's melting out of the bushes, like a ghost slowly becoming more visible.

@Disillusionist 1. Headsman I absolutely love this PC's colors. He is clearly selling a story in how he is dressed, and how he looks. He is not wearing a lot of apparels, but he doesn't need to, because the few things he does wear works perfectly. The crown works really well in making his wind eyes pop, and I am here for how the accent makes him look like a leader that has fallen from graze, great job 2. Salmakia I really dig these colors. The blues and greens mesh so well together, with the added pop of yellow from the skin and the sylvan filigree just making this girl shine. The gustgatherer is also nice in making that green wind dance over her wings. I adore her and her familiar is perfection 3. Templeton So I have a weakness for male coatls. Templeton looks amazing, and I love how the red in the etheral flame set pops against the reds in the butterfly secondary. The apparel, in addition to the scene and the familiar you have given him really sell the full on cultist leader thing that he seems to have going for him. 4. Netanya Wow, she is stunning. I like how you have used the riot of rot skin to give her like almost a sugarskull look, she looks like she just jumped out of a dia de muertos celebration. The candles and red cloak looks amazing on her and the nice rosetta on her face and tail are just gorgeous small details. And once again, her familiar is total and complete perfection 5. Giles After Coatls, Obelisks are my favorite dragon, cause I love how much you can actually play around with their poses and apparel scheme. The way you have added the Fortune teller deck and how the cards are dancing around the dragon with the colors it looks so much more alive, and that's just from one piece of clothing. The amount of thought you have put into Giles genes is amazing, and I really think she is stunning <3

He is not wearing a lot of apparels, but he doesn't need to, because the few things he does wear works perfectly. The crown works really well in making his wind eyes pop, and I am here for how the accent makes him look like a leader that has fallen from graze, great job

2. Salmakia

I really dig these colors. The blues and greens mesh so well together, with the added pop of yellow from the skin and the sylvan filigree just making this girl shine. The gustgatherer is also nice in making that green wind dance over her wings. I adore her and her familiar is perfection

3. Templeton

So I have a weakness for male coatls. Templeton looks amazing, and I love how the red in the etheral flame set pops against the reds in the butterfly secondary. The apparel, in addition to the scene and the familiar you have given him really sell the full on cultist leader thing that he seems to have going for him.

4. Netanya

Wow, she is stunning. I like how you have used the riot of rot skin to give her like almost a sugarskull look, she looks like she just jumped out of a dia de muertos celebration. The candles and red cloak looks amazing on her and the nice rosetta on her face and tail are just gorgeous small details. And once again, her familiar is total and complete perfection

5. Giles

After Coatls, Obelisks are my favorite dragon, cause I love how much you can actually play around with their poses and apparel scheme. The way you have added the Fortune teller deck and how the cards are dancing around the dragon with the colors it looks so much more alive, and that's just from one piece of clothing. The amount of thought you have put into Giles genes is amazing, and I really think she is stunning <3
