She seemed to be the bigger hatchling out of her nest, her eyes immediately snapping this way and that as the dragon who seemed, and smelt, like her father carefully coaxed her out of her eggshell, next to her sister whose wings had the tinge of a vibrant red, and her brother, who looked like the other dragon, her mother apparently. She snuffed and puffed, and took her first independent breath - and at the same time suddenly seemed to look at herself... through the older Imperial's eyeview?

It felt so surreal, and yet so elating, like a limb she never thought she had, stretching it out as far as what she could suddenly see through her mother's mind like fast-moving pictures: her own wings stretched out in triumph, a violent shade of purple against... Against—

Then she felt the heaviness of a claw around her small frame. She looked up at her father, who shook his head gently, and the pressure lifted. The little nocturne was soon able to breathe properly once more. "Your dreamwalking is already astonishing, my dear, but we have to teach you precaution and discipline. Had you stretched that dream any further, you would have given your mother severe damage that would have taken a long time to recover from. You have to be careful, do you understand?"

She soon felt ashamed, heat rushing through her still-frail body. She slowly nodded, seeming smaller than she was, until Zelievna's tail wrapped around her protectively. Zel brought her little hatchling close to her body and nuzzled her forehead. "Despite your father's discipline, I'm glad that you already realize what you can do. And that includes very special things." Zel gently nudged at the little nocturne's cheek. "You shall be known as Netanya, a gift from the gods, as you are to us."

Witchborne dragons hatched under the Wolf Moon have very strong connections to their ancestors, making them very powerful seers, diviners and oracles. They have the advantage of uncommon knowing and uncanny intuition, and may even be able to shift, create or give dreams, and be part of the dream, earning the title of 'Dreamwalkers'. They are extremely loyal to their charges, and are very adept in telling the future based on the events transpiring now. They are also extremely resourceful escape artists and can always predict the next attack, and are revered as strategists in any war council.
A Blood Moon is another name given to a total lunar eclipse, which happens when the Earth moves in between the Sun and the Moon. Witchborne blessed under the rare event of a Super Blood Wolf Moon, such as that which happened during January 20th to 21st (2019), in line with their ability to Dreamwalk and Spirit Speak, can already harness these abilities without much training - but in turn suffer the early occurrence of "voices" from the ether world at a very early age. Often than not, elders isolate them from other dragons to prevent them from walking into others' minds, training and disciplining them to be able to have balance with the ether and the real world.

Fire cleanses. Fire purifies. Fire burns. Burnt the wings off the witches and the warlocks upon whom unjustified scrutiny was placed, but as the Witchborne made themselves known, and had even christened their children under the sun's element, they began using fire to bless and purify weapons used by the Witchborne to dispel the impending and spreading disease of Child-Eaters. And not only are they able to purify weapons, they can also produce the element, scry through the sparks and even pass judgment through the ashes of their own flame.
