the ghost of a brutally murdered aristocrat, nero wanders the halls of the ancient cathedral in the center of the city.
the cathedral is old and decaying. it was clearly once beautiful, but decades of neglect and vandalism have ruined it. ivy crawls up the stone walls, and a large stained glass window, still intact, depicts arva, the god of death. a cemetery sits behind it, but the dead have been long forgotten, and the graves are crumbling.

nero was murdered in the cathedral sanctuary. it was once a place dedicated to the worship of the old gods, but after nero's death it was abandoned, considered unclean. as the story goes, she was killed by her lover just before they said their wedding vows. her lover escaped, and was never seen again.

now nero haunts the cathedral, waiting for her lover to return.

but they never will.
