10-24-14: Only a day after joining the Clan from an Earth lair, she has found her place among the other Coatls. And that place is as a Queen: Every single male Coatl of the lair wants her for a mate! But this gem isn't interested in choosing....
11-23-14: Amber was a natural choice to accompany Duskshadow to Dragonhome for the Rockbreaker's Ceremony, and she eagerly accepted the offer to go "home" for a bit. Now, though, she is wondering if she made the right choice. Wandering through the stalls at the Festival, she has been feeling a bit out of place. At least, she was, until she found that fascinating booth asking for help to label rocks and minerals… (

11-24-14: Amber has been so involved in trying to figure out the stones, she completely forgot about all her responsibilities to the Clan while at the Festival, such as Hunting, and another dragon had to be fetched to pick her up. Unfortunately for the Clan’s hopes, the dragon in question, Athena, is herself enamored of guessing games... (
) …It seems that the hunting party will be two dragons short...
11-26-14: The last few days have literally flown by, as Amber (and Athena) has continued to study the stones. In the process, the young Coatl has learned a great deal about herself, and some of her shyness has begun to wear off--needing to constantly ask older dragons for help figuring out what should be her specialty has certainly taught her to speak up--even as she learns that she may not know as much as she thought she did...and that that is not necessarily a bad thing. She has even been assured that some of these stones would stump the Earthshaker himself! (

, ) In fact, Amber has been enjoying herself immensely chatting with these other dragons, even when she is completely unable to figure out a stone… (

) …And they are quite good at helping her out when she needs it! (

11-28-14: Amber is continuing to try out her luck with the stones, with mixed results. Sometimes she seems to be making progress figuring out answers, and sometimes she is completely confused, (

) but she is enjoying herself regardless. ( 
) Some of the other dragons of the Clan are a bit concerned with her preoccupation, however, as it is beginning to interfere with some necessary functions--like eating, for instance. …Unfortunately, Amber's continued preoccupation with the stones caused her to wander without paying attention, and eventually led her to a different game entirely. Seeing a nice big cauldron full of water, the young Coatl dove in expecting a fish, and ended up with something completely different. She really should have paid attention to that sign about Bobbing for Gems before she acted. (

...Fortunately, the older dragons of the Clan are well used to looking after the younger ones, and Athena was able to reassure her that acquiring a Mysterious Cowl from a “Bobbing for Gems” Game was not, actually, something to be embarrassed about, even if it wasn’t the food she had been looking for... (

So Amber is feeling a little better, and may even still get that fish after all, as Athena is now searching for food in her stead. In the meantime, though, there are more rocks to study...
11-29-14: And Amber's confidence is continuing to grow, helped, no doubt, by the fish Athena has given her, and the continued aid of the friendly Fae Amalia. (
, ) Of course, all good things must come to an end, eventually, and this Festival is no exception, as Amber submits her last set of guesses and then hurries over to the waiting Clan Mother. ( 
) But the lessons the previously shy young Coatl learned in Dragonhome are not likely to leave her anytime soon, including the ones that had nothing to do with rocks...
…And in the meantime, she has a new project to work on, carving some rather beautiful pink jasper into a nice Rose for Nightsedge to present to his lady-love. (
) Perhaps the new Necklace will thaw Eveningrose’s heart out towards Night at last? Amber certainly hopes so, as her fellow Clanmate really deserves a break….
11-30-14: After the trip back to her birth Flight for the Rockbeaker's Ceremony, Amber has gained in confidence both about herself and her surroundings. The shy young Coatl is now involving herself in Clan activities more and more, and the aloof Queen is being replaced by a far more approachable Princess....
1-19-15: After a great deal of persuasion from her friends, Amber has decided to join the Hatchery project the other Coatls are working on, and is already attracting attention....
1-20-15: Amber's Celestial Antelope has Awakened! Joining the other familiars that have decided to Awaken today, this makes quite a good company of fully mature companions for the dragons of the Clan....
1-24-15: It is a mark of Amber's progression and maturity that her newest Companion, the Woodland Turkey, was chosen not for his aloofness, but for his habit of making everyone around him laugh with his antics.... even if he is a rather rare animal in the wild.
2-15-15: The Hatchery Round has drawn to a close, and Amber is quite happy with the results this time around. Only one male was interested in her, but she returned that interest whole-heartedly....
2-17-15: 3 Eggs are now sitting in the Hatchery, and Amber is eagerly awaiting the hatchlings arrival....
4-24-15: Amber's three hatchlings have grown up, and one, Nicolle, has found her calling as the devoted servant of the Lightweaver. The other two are not yet sure of where they wish to go, but Amber is certain that they will come to a decision soon. In the meantime, the Woodland Turkey has Awakened! Amber is quite pleased for her old friend....
5-15-15: While exploring the cave system near the Observatory, Amber found a sleeping Cragbacked Bouldursa--one of the Clan's as yet unbonded familiars. The attraction between the two was immediate, and Amber's small family has now grown again...
6-17-15: The second Hatchery Round came as a bit of a shock for Amber. After her experience last time this Princess had assumed that she would not have that many suitors--but 3 different males were interested in her! She is satisfied with her choice, and very happy with the 3 eggs in the Nesting Area.....
6-28-15: Amber's children have been a joy to her since the beginning, though she does wish she would manage to have more sons....especially since this one chose to leave vey quickly for another Arcane Clan. Perhaps all the girls scared him?
7-20-15: Amber's oldest son has also decided to seek his fortune elsewhere, and Amber wishes him the best of luck. He does not seem to need it, however, as his new Clan gave him a name (Oxblood)--and a familiar (a handsome Ultramel Ampithere) within hours of his arrival. It looks like his future there will be bright....
7-22-15: Following in the footsteps of her brother, Amber's youngest daughter from her first clutch of hatchlings has also journeyed from the Clan to seek her fortune. In her case, however, she went to a Lightning Clan, where she took the name Sharra, and settled right in....
8-14-15: The Cragbacked Bouldursa has Awakened! In the wake of most of Amber's children leaving for a new life, she is delighted to have a new reason to celebrate... and the bear seems quite happy, too.
9-9-15: Amber recently learned that she is a grandmother.... She is still in shock!
10-7-16: After almost a full year, Amber's youngest born daughter finally found a place for herself.... in the Clan of LunasDreamv2. Glade appears very happy with her choice, and Amber is delighted that she is doing so well....
10-12-16: And only a few days later, Amber's oldest daughter by Carnelian has also decided to set out--and has found a home for herself in the Clan of Cantertothewinds. Amber is a little startled that her Arcane-oriented daughter has chosen a Water Clan for her home, but the choice seems to fit...
12-9-17: Problems in the Clan, and unexpected complications on the road, interfered with the Clan's ability to attend the Rockbreaker's Ceremony this year. So much so, in fact, that Amber was terrified that the Clan Mother's promise to her for first try at the Earth Familiar would be forgotten. After all, you can't try to bond with an animal that is not there!
Duskshdaow, however, is not one to forget any of her "children," no matter how many difficulties she may be having in other areas. Amber was woken this morning by a slightly annoyed Spirit of Earth prodding her firmly in the side. It seems that the special goat has, in fact, been present in the Clan's hoard since the first few hours of the Festival week, courtesy of one of the Spirals, who had made a hurried trip to Joxar's shop at Duskshadow's request, and came back with a complete set of Festival Favors. After waiting not-so-patiently for the entire week for his chosen Coatl to notice him, the newly-christened Grounder, Spirit of Earth, finally decided to take matters into his own, er, horns, marched over to Amber's nest, and quite decidedly made his choice known. Amber is so thrilled, she isn't even complaining about the large bruise on her side...
3-15-18: Grounder has Awakened! Now quite content, he is no longer prodding anyone in the side, and has settled down very nicely to Clan life. Amber is extremely happy that her newest friend has found his place, and even more thrilled that it's with her....
1-17-20: Amber has come to realize that there is something about her that attracts the rare and special beings of Sornieth--or at least those linked to the Earth element. This time, it’s the Shattered Plain Guardian which has decided that the Coatl focused on using Earth Stones should have a special advantage in that category. She isn’t complaining, but it is a bit hard on the other dragons in the Clan, when all the Earth Festival familiars seem to like her the best….
4-26-20: The Shattered Plain Gem Guardian has Awakened! Amber is happy for her friend, and looking forward to working with him to add to her Gem collection. And perhaps, for a while, the Earth familiars will ignore her, and some other Earth dragons of the Clan will be able to get a familiar or two…
8-28-20: Today Amber was roused from her happy contemplation of various Focus Stones by an extremely irate Clan Mother. It seems that Samhain has gone missing somehow. Considering the trouble the Chaos Mage caused the last time she was left unsupervised, this is a major concern. Fortunately, Amber has a nifty search spell she can use, and she has been able to determine that the exasperating Guardian is somewhere in the Fire Lands, most likely in the area of the Flameforger’s Festival. Unfortunately, this is not a good thing at all, and now Amber must go and fetch Samhain back before the Mage finds something dangerous to play with…
…But this task may be harder than Amber thought, especially since Samhain is, in fact, in the Ember Toos tent, where she should NOT be. Worse, the cunning Guardian is very good at distracting the Focus Stone Mage at the worst possible time. Who wouldn’t want to try to acquire a Mushroom that can literally categorize various kinds of stones and minerals? Amber certainly does… (

8-29-20: Amber will have to wait to find out whether her efforts at the Ember Toss have gotten her a coveted Cindershroom or not. It is late--far too late--and she really, really needs to get Samhain back to the Clan before Duskshadow gets even more angry. Fortunately, she has spotted a fellow Clan Mate coming into the Ember Toss tent. Even if the older Coatl can’t figure out what is inside her 20 bottles with all the fog inside them, surely Bolt will be able to win a Shroom for her, especially with that special offer that has just been announced, giving a chance to get bottles from the previous days of the Game… (

8-30-20: Amber did, in fact, get her Cindershroom. Actually, she got four: Three from her own bottles, and one from Bolt. Even better, she also got a beautiful little Cinder Creeper that can weave webs made of metal and gems! (
) When Bolt first told her about it, she was skeptical, but after seeing the critter in action, Amber is quite impressed. Now she has a very unique way to store her excess gemstones…

After waiting not-so-patiently for the entire week for his chosen Coatl to notice him, the newly-christened Grounder, Spirit of Earth, finally decided to take matters into his own, er, horns, marched over to Amber's nest, and quite decidedly made his choice known. Amber is so thrilled, she isn't even complaining about the large bruise on her side...
3-15-18: Grounder has Awakened! Now quite content, he is no longer prodding anyone in the side, and has settled down very nicely to Clan life. Amber is extremely happy that her newest friend has found his place, and even more thrilled that it's with her....
1-17-20: Amber has come to realize that there is something about her that attracts the rare and special beings of Sornieth--or at least those linked to the Earth element. This time, it’s the Shattered Plain Guardian which has decided that the Coatl focused on using Earth Stones should have a special advantage in that category. She isn’t complaining, but it is a bit hard on the other dragons in the Clan, when all the Earth Festival familiars seem to like her the best….
4-26-20: The Shattered Plain Gem Guardian has Awakened! Amber is happy for her friend, and looking forward to working with him to add to her Gem collection. And perhaps, for a while, the Earth familiars will ignore her, and some other Earth dragons of the Clan will be able to get a familiar or two…
8-28-20: Today Amber was roused from her happy contemplation of various Focus Stones by an extremely irate Clan Mother. It seems that Samhain has gone missing somehow. Considering the trouble the Chaos Mage caused the last time she was left unsupervised, this is a major concern. Fortunately, Amber has a nifty search spell she can use, and she has been able to determine that the exasperating Guardian is somewhere in the Fire Lands, most likely in the area of the Flameforger’s Festival. Unfortunately, this is not a good thing at all, and now Amber must go and fetch Samhain back before the Mage finds something dangerous to play with…
…But this task may be harder than Amber thought, especially since Samhain is, in fact, in the Ember Toos tent, where she should NOT be. Worse, the cunning Guardian is very good at distracting the Focus Stone Mage at the worst possible time. Who wouldn’t want to try to acquire a Mushroom that can literally categorize various kinds of stones and minerals? Amber certainly does… (
, )8-29-20: Amber will have to wait to find out whether her efforts at the Ember Toss have gotten her a coveted Cindershroom or not. It is late--far too late--and she really, really needs to get Samhain back to the Clan before Duskshadow gets even more angry. Fortunately, she has spotted a fellow Clan Mate coming into the Ember Toss tent. Even if the older Coatl can’t figure out what is inside her 20 bottles with all the fog inside them, surely Bolt will be able to win a Shroom for her, especially with that special offer that has just been announced, giving a chance to get bottles from the previous days of the Game… (
, )8-30-20: Amber did, in fact, get her Cindershroom. Actually, she got four: Three from her own bottles, and one from Bolt. Even better, she also got a beautiful little Cinder Creeper that can weave webs made of metal and gems! (
) When Bolt first told her about it, she was skeptical, but after seeing the critter in action, Amber is quite impressed. Now she has a very unique way to store her excess gemstones…
