Biography
Hanako was the youngest out of her siblings but she was not lesser than her two ridgeback brothers. They had all been blessed by the Gods and her faceted eyes were proof of that according to the middle child Blacksnake though she herself felt the eyes were a nuisance. She saw everywhere at the same time but she could not see straight in front of herself and she could not close her eyes them getting tired of light all the time. Because of her eyes Hanako went to meet healers as soon as she was let out of the hatchery. Together they were able to enchant some candles she could use to limit her sight to avoid overload and to use them as her actual eyes she being able to see in front of her thanks to them. The light though was still an issue and to counter that the healers tried an eye cover but it felt unpleasant against the eyes Hanako could not close. To have something to cover light she started to use a wizard hat she could pull down like normal dragons would use eyelids. While Hanako had been taking care of her eyes Tikkurila had decided to join forces of the Arcanist and Blacksnake believing he was some kind of chosen one was preparing to battle clan’s leader Alfa. Hanako was quite surprised by Blacksnake’s lack of common sense the clan having two leaders neither of them being chosen because of their battle skills but Blacksnake feeling he was special ignored her. He was sure he could win with ease and didn’t hesitate upon feeling ready. Hanako followed Blacksnake as he went to challenge the older mirror wishing the veteran would not accept the challenge. Blacksnake rethinking the challenge would have been better but it seemed to be out of question. Sadly Alfa, after some time, accepted Blacksnake’s challenge and thanks to her candles Hanako was able to witness how Blacksnake got his tail kicked from different points of views. Blacksnake was knocked out and he had nasty looking wounds all over his body. Still, upon waking up he walked away pushing Kanerva away she dropping her pearl as she arrived with Malvadust. Hanako though knowing her brother to be angry could not understand how he could treat healers like that and went to ask them for some healing tools before going after her big brother. He was easy to find he having gone to his nest to sulk. He asked Hanako to stay away but she stayed pointing out that she had warned about that outcome. He remained silent and Hanako started to treat his wound ignoring his pleads to stop sensing he didn’t want to admit wanting to be healed. After that Blacksnake wanted a rematch Hanako still being against that idea. He though didn’t seem to listen this time either and Hanako went to look for something better to do. She arrived to clan’s library that had mostly books and scrolls about clan’s history and few random books about other stuff. They were unorganized and Hanako having nothing better to do decided to put them in order her special eyes allowing her to see all the shelves at once. She avoided bothering Benizakura who lived in the library writing history being the only one to keep the books in order, to some degree. He did not mind Hanako organizing the writings and she was able to tell that was because he was too lazy to do that himself. Hanako kept reorganizing the books but no matter how she put them she was not happy. Either they were all in a same horizontal ”pile” or they were scattered all across the library with way too much space between them. Why they had library for so few books bothered Hanako and she decided to buy some more books. She managed to get some funds from Tres to buy some books and went to do some shopping. She bought as many as she could carry aiming for variety and upon returning witnessed Blacksnake losing to Obsidius. He though didn’t seem too badly hurt and she let him be. Hanako became half accidentally clan’s librarian she organizing the library and either filled it either by buying or borrowing books to store in there. Though not having originally wanted the job she was happy to have some kind of place in the clan unlike Blacksnake whose only goal had been crushed twice and who now seemed to have given up with it. Though blaming his hotheadedness for his situation Hanako could not help to feel a bit sad for her brother. Later the clan was having a trial against an old fae who had done some nasty spells and during the trial Trooper explained his plan to increase clan’s defense and suggested Blacksnake as one of the border guards. Blacksnake seemed to be offended by the offer a little bit while Hanako though that would be near perfect place for her battle loving brother if he just remembered to use his head most of the time. She gave him an accepting nod and he took the job Hanako being happy he found his place. Meanwhile she continued expanding the library always going to buy new book through Blacksnake’s area. 
Hanako continued working in the library not really bothering Benizakura or being bothered by him. Their interactions were minimal being always caused by one of the familiars residing with them and it was a bit awkward when Rosalin and Pernis invited them to sit in same table they assuming they did that all the time while in truth it was the first time. That though was irrelevant to the issue at hand the two architects having come to ask their feedback on the new library they were designing as part of redesigning the entire temple. Their plan would have two main subsections that in turn would have subsections and both library residents thought is sounded good Hanako hoping it would decrease the amount of their familiars not getting along. Hanako had no expectations of how long the new temple would take to build and assumed it would take about as long as the first one. She though doubled the time she had assumed based on Benizakura's records when clan's familiars all of a sudden turned hostile both Benizakura and Hanako needing to leave the library to avoid their angry companions. No one was able to tell what had caused the change the recently arrived space creatures being a common reason among the clan mates but not trusting hearsay Hanako returned to the library once their companions stormed out to see if she had managed to find books about possible causes. She had not but she kept looking she wanting her mimics back. Clan life had been terrible the entire summer and it really didn't get better when the unexpected earthquake hit the lair. Both Banizakura and Hanako were confused by that earthquakes being rather rare in arcane domain and went outside to investigate. Upon stepping out Hanako was able to see a high, anything but natural, wall surround the lair and knowing Blacksnake was on the other side she wondered if he was alright. She though got something else to think about when Shadow and Sapny came forth and told they would sacrifice the clan to summon the Shade in few days. Hanako was not having any of that and asked Benizakura to return to the library. In there they started to look for books that could help them prevent what the Shade mages wanted to do. Hanako wasn't sure if she had right books but she was hopeful and read through the books as fast as she could. That though was rudely interrupted when Hanako felt a spell hit her before everything changed at an instance. She was still in the library but was now surrounded by few earth mages who she did not know and she was somehow in her wolf form. She returned back to normal Blacksnake running into her like she was back from death the earth dragons explaining that the summoners had ambushed the two library dragons and turned them into stone, after having turned Hanako into the wolf. The event the library dragons had missed had been massive for the clan but Hanako was mostly unharmed by that. After the clan life got to normal she returned to her job from helping her clan mates to get the clan back to its feet. Once the temple project started she stored all of the books within the Hoard and once the new library was finished she moved them there organizing them for few evenings before starting to fill all the empty spaces in the shelves.

Traits
Hanako is an arcane snapper with grey body with pale markings over dark markings. She has naturally black and pale mottled wings but they have been covered by a spell that allows a sunny sky appear on them and the same spell also gives her belly and back yellow and blue tint. The sky on her wings is dynamic she being able to control how bright the Sun on them is it being able to create real light. She makes it appear clear midday when wanting some light to read and keeps the Sun down and sky cloudy when not needing that. The glowing wings, though weird, are not the oddest thing about Hanako’s appearance it being a publicly sold body spell. She has few more unnatural features mainly being her unblinking faceted eyes and pale grey mane which she has made to be long with spells. The mane is hint of the wolf form she shares with her brothers her mane being fluffy in that form. Her eyes though appear as normal when taking her alternative form. She also has somewhat long claws and clear fangs as reference to her wolf form as well. Hanako has designed her outfit so that it doesn’t cause problems when she rarely takes her wolf form. She has dark blue laces with white roses decorating her neck, legs and arms all remaining and looking good on her wolf form, a grey wizard hat she uses to cover her unblinking eyes when needing which also remains in her wolf form. She also has twelve pink candles floating either near or far from her she being able to use their flames as her eyes and can move them quite a distance away from herself. Like most other clothes they also remain in wolf form. Only piece of clothing she wears that doesn’t carry over to her wold form is her purple cape which has spell a cast on it to make Hanako harder to see which she uses to catch trolls in the library. Though the cape itself isn’t visible in Hanako’s wolf form hints of it can still be seen it making her back fur appear extra fluffy. Hanako has deep, strong and oddly sweet voice though it has hint of clear confidence. She speaks rather clean Dragonian using very little dialect or slang words. She has clean Japanese accent.
Hanako is gentle and kind dragon who is always happy to help and definitely will help if she sees need to. Having a stubborn brother to look after she has learned to make a line to tell when someone is to be helped wanted they that or not but it also goes other way around too. If she thinks someone is going overboard she won’t help just because they are asking as they have crossed the line and she won’t cross it to get to them. She doesn’t want to do something just to please someone she seeing herself better than that. Hanako isn’t desperate to have company she being just fine by herself but at the same time she enjoys to have some good company. She is confident around other dragons and is usually very good at telling who she can trust her gift allowing her to see more than one perspective at the time. She generally gets along with many types of dragons though she does not like liars, cheaters or trolls hating how they often put themselves before others or just try to ruin others’ fun. She doesn’t rage at the sight of them but she makes it very clear that she does not like what they are doing. Hanako has an ensorcelled volume Kevin and a spellbound tome Liz as her companions in the library hiding among the books and catching up anyone trying to do nasty things with actual books. The two barely differ from each other having similar personality being loyal to Hanako and aggressive when seeing someone trying to do some vandalism. Neither of them can speak conventional ways and use their wings to communicate they both being able to understand speech. For Hanako both of mimics are like her pack, like her children, and she wouldn’t take it lightly if someone were to hurt either of her little helpers.
Being a librarian it is no surprise that Hanako is able to levitate items and alter their sizes to be able to carry more at once but the range she can can use the spells is impressive she being able to cast the spells across the room. Using her faceted eyes she can easily see all the corners of the room at once and organize four or five shelves at once while being near none of them. She can control how much she sees at once by using either her floating candles as extra eyes or do it without them in which case she sees more but is overwhelmed more easily. Thanks to her eyes Hanako is able to see tens of things at once and comprehend most of it. The gift though can be overwhelming her sight being as wide as the walls or trees around her let it be which is why she avoids open fields. She has worked to not let her sight overwhelm herself but she is aware that magic may fail always. Hanako and all of her siblings experienced a magical mutation that gave them all all kinds of powers all sharing power to turn into canines. Hanako’s form is a bluish grey and white wolfdog with fluffy mane being longer on her spine and thick fur on her back because of her mane and cape in dragon form respectively. When changing form she keeps most of her apparels and her ability to control her floating candles but their range shrink significantly. She also keeps her ability to speak but can’t use basic spells. The abilities she gains in return, mainly faster run, longer jumps and ability to see normally, though are usually enough for her to not worry about magic when taking her wolf form. She can change between form at an instant. |
