Username: Lady Name: Marshall 'Marsh' Cooke Gender: Male, maybe gay Species: Human Age: 27 Student/Templar/Teacher: Teacher, History of the Templar (and similar groups) but it's not at all a surprise to see him acting as an RA or counselor either Appearance: The image below gives you a pretty decent idea but Marsh typically wears a glove over his prosthetic hand for no other reason than he just doesn't like getting a ton of attention for it. The prosthetic is magitec so that it can function just as well as a real hand. For a bit of extra context Marsh's hand has some rubber grips on the palm and fingertips so that he can have a more human-like touch with it for interacting with screens or making brief contact with you (while gloved). Fun fact, Marshall also has a gunshot scar on his right shoulder he got about a year ago (usually covered by clothes) and a few scratch/claw scars on his body and legs from being unfortunate enough to get physical with a Were-Komodo Dragon a few years ago (might also have a couple on his left shoulder and upper arm from that) Shifted appearance: Bro ain't a shifter Personality: Marshall is rather sarcastic, and seems to default to humor or sarcasm to defend himself more than getting overly defensive like most people would. He is also rather sympathetic to most magical creatures, especially if they have been hunted by humans due to dietary or self-defense issues. So long as the creature is capable of reason and communication and is being reasonable it has the right to be heard out and its argument to be valid. Seriously he’s not even mad at the guy who ripped off his right hand as Marsh quite literally said ‘Eh, I was stupid to shake hands with a hungry vamp.’ This isn’t to say Marshall can’t be serious as he totally can as if you’re gonna be unreasonable so can he. Height: 5'7 Weight: What you'd expect of a man of his build Strengths/Weaknesses: +Ranged weapons master, as all the permits for them dw +His right hand is fairly sturdy and has more rotation and steadiness than a normal human hand +His magic has some practical use if he puts his mind to it +Really good at reasoning with others, if given the chance to +Marsh kinda knows a bit more about how organizations like the Templar tend to function -Anti-magic, as it means Marsh’s dominant hand becomes useless due to the fact magic is powering it -His ties to the extremist Inquisition could very much cause him problems -Marshall’s magic is dependant on projectiles being around to be of any use -His willingness to bend the law a bit could be seen as a legal liability to some -Aside from his right hand and magic Marsh is a completely normal 27 year old human, meaning he has all the human weaknesses Abilities: Augmented Projectiles: Marshall’s magic is kinda like that of a bulletmancer’s, only it extends to all projectiles. He can imbue projectiles with different magical effects before he uses them so long as he holds the desired projectile and focuses on the effects he wants to instill on it. Like for example he can make bullets burn like fire or an arrow give off an electric shock, hell even charm a small rock to explode on impact. However, the scale of what he can do is pretty small as he can only ever have one effect active on an object at any given time and the effect is typically going to be rather ‘weak’ since he’s enchanting something so small. Ofc if Marsh was to apply his magic to a spear it could have more powerful effects as it’s a larger more versatile object. He cannot instill any sort of healing into a projectile with his magic, nor can he do anything to alter the path once the projectile has been used as such. Marshall cannot create anything that will instantly kill you via magic or make a projectile perfectly home in either. Aside from these limitations Marsh can charm a projectile to do anything he can think of. Likes/Dislikes: +Most magical creatures +Dispelling falsehoods about creatures +The color green +Providing what help he can to others +A good horror story +Firearms +FPS games, both competitive and not -Attention nobody asked for -The Inquisition/Templar -His father -Seeing creatures getting persecuted -Fighting -Dealing with someone who can’t take a joke Background: Marshall grew up deep in the Inquisition's culture, being fed lies about how vampires are all horrible, manipulative parasites that just see humans and the like as food. This all changed when Marsh was 15 or so and met a real vamp out in the wild… And guys the vamp acted like the most normal individual while feeding off a deer. This utterly mundane interaction kinda changed Marsh’s way of thinking quite a bit and led him to become much more reasonable than he otherwise would have been. Marshall lost his right hand on his fifth ever mission where he was sent out alone to take out a vampire. Well, instead he chose to try and talk to them and made the mistake of being a little too trusting when he went to shake on a deal to fake the death and the vamp ripped his hand off in a fit of hunger. It worked out since Marshall used his own blood loss to fake the scene and the individual apologized for what happened. For all the hate he can spew towards the Inquisition, Marsh can’t help but be envious of their healthcare benefits as boi did they rather quickly get him a new hand. He stayed with the organization longer than he should have, mostly out of pressure since Marshall’s dad is rather high up in the Inquisition. When he met Lance, it sorta gave Marsh an easy out since the two bodies would be reported and if he never returned Marshall would be considered K/MIA soon after thanks to the power of assumption. Why did this man decide to get a job at Clayton? Well he's not really down for what the Templar is doing, very chill with all sorts of creatures, and while he lacks a license are you really about to deny how useful knowing the history of your enemy is? Other:

Marshall is a heathen that likes crappy country songs, the more it's hated the more he likes it
Proud disappointment to his parents, the only reason they know he isn't dead is getting sent random very out of context selfies
If you think for two seconds he can't clap back from being roasted my guy what are you on? This man has spent considerable time in CoD lobbies and do with that implication as you will
Marsh will insist that you call him by that, but like isn't offended if you use his last name either
Bro would legit not even be all that mad or disappointed by Templar students, nah he'd see if he could get ya' to pull an uno reverse card on them
Marshall drives the most inconspicuous sort of car, an armored one. He went back for the key m'kay?
Inquisition: For some context the Inquisition is a sort of Templar adjacent group that specializes mostly in dealing with vampires of all varieties but also isn't bad with therianthropes and demons either. The Inquisition however is more tolerant the more 'harmless' magical creatures and could care less if a human has magic. If anything they find human mages quite the boon since having magic can give you an edge in combat with many of the things they square up against. Probably is rather willing to work with the Templar and/or be hired out as a specialist group. ------- And now I yeet off to draft out a post as I had to act on this idea embrace the fact you can now get amazing life advice from the man that will say, "If your gonna be a disappointment, might as well be proud of it."* *Not applicable to every situation

Why did this man decide to get a job at Clayton? Well he's not really down for what the Templar is doing, very chill with all sorts of creatures, and while he lacks a license are you really about to deny how useful knowing the history of your enemy is?

Let's go new character! :D

I'm off to play a League game or two, but I'll whip up a post for Newt when I get back. He's got more of a supportive style, so I want to wait for some other team 2 people to post before having him hop in.

Just to let you know Potat, I edited Chase's character sheet to include a picture and fix a spelling mistake.

@SmilodonLady I just realized - The Inquisition sounds like the place Jean came from. The Templar had to, for a time, allow mages into their ranks and focused mostly on fae, vampires, and therianthropes, so would you be interested in them either being a former branch of the Templar/Jean retconning into a member of the Inquisition but in the ancient past?
